# Canva Alternatives (2026): Which One Fixes Your Reason for Leaving

> Canva alternatives by reason for leaving: Adobe Express and Snappa for team price, Figma and Figma Buzz for designers, Visme and Piktochart for infographics, VistaCreate, and the Affinity licence Canva already includes.

People look for Canva alternatives for three reasons: the team price, the refund and billing experience, or a
job Canva does not do well. Each reason points to a different product. This guide covers the six design tools
we track alongside Canva, plus the one that Canva already gives you for free, with prices read from each
vendor's own pricing page on 9 October 2026.

## Why people leave Canva

The price for teams is the first reason. Canva Business is US$250 a year or US$25 a month per person in the
US, with no volume discount below Enterprise [2]. The 2024 change that moved old five-person Teams plans
from US$119.99 to US$500 a year, reported by TechCrunch, is still remembered [81].

Billing is the second. In our 100-review Trustpilot sample, every review about billing or cancellation was one
or two stars [77], and Canva's help centre says refunds "usually aren’t possible" [12].

The third is fit. Interface designers need Figma, illustrators need vector tools, and data-heavy reports may
fit a specialist better.

> 💡 **undefined:** Name your reason for leaving first; each points to a different tool.

## The quick map

| If you need | Look at |
|---|---|
| Cheaper team seats for marketing | Adobe Express, Snappa |
| Interface and product design | Figma |
| Brand templates from a design team | Figma Buzz |
| Infographics, reports, interactive content | Visme, Piktochart |
| Professional photo, vector, layout | Affinity (free with Canva) |
| A Canva-like editor at a flat yearly price | VistaCreate |

## Adobe Express

The closest like-for-like alternative. Adobe Express Premium was US$9.99 a month in the US, and Teams US$4.99 a
month per licence in year one and US$7.99 after, with a two-seat minimum on an annual subscription billed
monthly [97]. A five-person team pays US$299.40 in year one and US$479.40 a year after, against US$1,250 on
Canva Business at list price; our arithmetic. Adobe's Teams plan includes locked template elements, shared
reviews, 1TB of storage per user pooled, and 250 generative credits a month per user [97].

Choose it if team price matters most or you already use Adobe tools. Expect fewer templates than Canva: Adobe's
summary lists 519,000+ on Teams [97], against 3.6M+ on Canva's paid plans [2].

> 💡 **undefined:** Export designs and rebuild brand kits before the team moves.

## Figma, and Figma Buzz

Figma is not a Canva replacement for most users; it is the tool for designing software. But Figma Buzz changes
the picture for companies that already have designers in Figma. Buzz lets designers publish brand templates
with locked and editable parts for teammates to customise [88], and on Figma's pricing page it is
included with every seat type, including the Collab seat at US$3 a month on Professional annual billing [86].
Buzz was marked beta on 9 October 2026.

Choose it if your designers live in Figma and your marketers mostly fill in templates. One Full seat at US$16
and four Collab seats at US$3, monthly on annual billing, come to US$336 a year; our arithmetic.

## Visme

Visme is aimed at presentations, infographics and interactive content. Its Starter plan is US$12.25 a month per
person billed as US$147 a year, and Pro US$24.75 a month billed as US$297 a year; Enterprise is custom-priced
from 10 users [89]. Starter adds all premium assets and email and chat support; Pro adds PPTX, HTML5,
video and GIF downloads, a Brand Kit, analytics, most integrations and privacy controls [89]. Visme also
offers separate plans for students, educators and nonprofits [89].

Choose it if your output is data-heavy: reports, infographics, interactive presentations with analytics. Note
that the Brand Kit is on Pro, at US$297 a year, more than Canva Business per person.

> ⚠ **undefined:** Templates with Canva Pro content travel only as Canva template links.

## Piktochart

Piktochart focuses on infographics, reports and visual summaries. Its free plan allows 2 PNG downloads, unlimited
projects, 60 AI credits, free templates only and 1GB of storage. Pro is US$10 per member a month billed annually, or
US$15 monthly, with unlimited PNG downloads, premium templates, 500 AI credits and 100GB. Business is US$17 per member
a month billed annually, or US$20 monthly, adding PDF and PowerPoint downloads, a Brand Kit with unlimited colour
schemes, fonts and logos, branded templates, 1,000 AI credits and 250GB [90]. Enterprise is custom-priced with
SSO and 101+ members. Education is US$39 per member a year and Nonprofit US$60 per member a year [90].

Choose it for infographics and one-page reports. A yearly Pro seat is US$120, a yearly Business seat US$204; our
arithmetic.

## Snappa

Snappa is the simplest and cheapest paid option here. The free Starter plan allows three downloads a month. Pro
is US$10 a month billed yearly for one user, with unlimited downloads, Buffer and social media integrations,
custom font uploads and background removal. Team is US$20 a month billed yearly for five users, adding team
collaboration [91]. That is US$240 a year for five people; our arithmetic. The library is smaller: 6,000+
templates and 5,000,000+ photos and graphics [91].

Choose it if you make social graphics and blog images in volume on a tight budget, and do not need video,
documents or print.

> ⚠ **undefined:** Cancelling legacy Canva Teams is permanent.

## VistaCreate

VistaCreate offers a Canva-like editor with more than 200,000 static and animated templates updated weekly, and
unlimited Brand Kits on its paid plan [92]. The page we could read was priced in euros: the Pro annual
subscription is free for 14 days, then €120 a year billed upfront, and team plans cover up to 10 seats
[92]. We could not read a US-dollar price.

Choose it if you want the Canva workflow with unlimited brand kits at a flat yearly price, and check the price
in your own currency.

## Free plans compared

If the goal is to pay nothing, the free plans differ more than the paid ones. Snappa's free plan allows 3 downloads
a month [91]; Piktochart's 2 PNG downloads [90]. Visme's free plan offers unlimited projects with a
limited template and asset set [89]. Adobe Express Free offers 100,000+ templates and scheduling to one account
per network [97]. Figma Starter gives free limited access to Figma's products, with 150 AI credits a day up to
500 a month [86]. Canva Free offers 1.6M+ templates and 20 AI uses a month, without a download cap in its plan
description [2]. For a free plan someone can actually work in, Canva and Adobe Express lead.

## AI across the alternatives

Every tool here meters AI, in different units. Piktochart gives 60 AI credits on Free, 500 on Pro and 1,000 on
Business [90]. Adobe Express gives 250 generative credits a month on Premium and on Teams per user [97].
Figma gives 3,000 AI credits a month with a Professional Full seat and 500 with Dev and Collab seats, and lets teams
buy extra credits to share [86]. Canva gives up to 200 Premium uses on Pro and 400 on Business, per person, never
pooled [4]. The units are not comparable across vendors. What is comparable is pooling: only Figma sells shared
credits.

## Affinity, which you already have

If your reason for leaving Canva is that you need professional photo editing, vector illustration or page
layout, you may not need to leave at all. Canva owns Affinity and gives it free to every Canva account; paid
Canva plans add Canva's AI tools inside it [55]. It is a desktop-class tool, not a template editor.

## Schools and nonprofits

For schools, the cheapest answer is usually free. Canva Education is free for eligible K-12 schools [25]; Figma
gives teachers and students over 13 its Professional tier free, and districts its Enterprise tier [87];
Adobe Express is free for qualified K-12 educators [97]. Piktochart Education costs US$39 per member a year
[90], and Visme runs a separate education programme [110].

For nonprofits, Canva is hard to beat: one team of up to 50 users gets Pro features free [23]. Piktochart's
nonprofit plan is US$60 per member a year [90], which would be US$3,000 for 50 people; our arithmetic. Visme
has a nonprofit programme [111].

## What you give up by leaving

Moving away from Canva is cheaper for teams, but some features do not have a direct match in the alternatives we
priced. Canva publishes websites from the editor, free on a .canva.site address [118]. Magic Video assembles a
60-second video from up to ten clips or photos [123]. Translate handles more than 100 languages [122]. The
Content Planner schedules finished designs to seven platforms, with up to 80 accounts per user on paid plans
[33]. Business adds Canva Grow, which reads Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn ad accounts and tags ads by creative
attribute [114], and Flourish for interactive charts [115]. List the ones you use before you compare prices.

## Data and infographics: three routes

For data-heavy content there are three serious options. Visme Pro exports PPTX, HTML5, video and GIF and includes
analytics [89]. Piktochart Business includes branded templates and PowerPoint export [90]. Canva Business
embeds Flourish visualisations, interactive and animated charts, directly in designs; without Business or Enterprise
you need a paid Flourish subscription to embed them [115]. If interactive charts in presentations are the core of
your work, compare Visme Pro at US$297 a year against Canva Business at US$250 per person; our arithmetic on their
pages.

## Websites and link pages

If you use Canva for a simple website, check the alternative can replace it. Canva Free and Pro publish to a free
.canva.site domain; custom domains need a paid plan, and up to five domains bought elsewhere can be connected
[117]. Figma Sites publishes websites designed in Figma, a beta on Full seats [86]. Visme exports HTML5 on Pro
[89]. Snappa and Piktochart focus on images and documents. Moving a live site is more work than moving a social
template, so do it last.

## Ad creative

For teams producing paid social, Figma Buzz has templates and blank frames for ads across platforms [99], and
Snappa connects to Buffer for publishing [91]. Canva Business adds performance data next to the editor through
Grow [114]. If you rely on that loop, from ad results to the next variant, none of the cheaper tools here replaces
it in one product.

## Comparing the yearly cost for one person

Our arithmetic on the vendors' published figures, US dollars where available:

- Snappa Pro: US$120 a year.
- Piktochart Pro: US$120 a year.
- Adobe Express Premium: US$119.88 over twelve monthly payments.
- Canva Pro: US$144 a year.
- Visme Starter: US$147 a year.
- Figma Full seat on Professional: US$192 a year.
- Piktochart Business: US$204 a year.
- Visme Pro: US$297 a year.

The cheapest individual plans sit within about US$30 of each other. For one person, choose on fit, not price.

## Comparing the yearly cost for five people

- Snappa Team: US$240 a year for up to five users.
- Adobe Express Teams: US$299.40 in year one, US$479.40 after.
- Figma, one Full seat and four Collab seats: US$336 a year.
- Piktochart Business: US$1,020 a year.
- Canva Business: US$1,250 a year.

For teams the spread is wide, and Canva sits at the top of it. What the extra buys is the largest template
library, Docs, Sheets, video, print, social scheduling for up to 80 accounts per user [33], and 100 Brand
Kits with approvals [2].

## When staying on Canva is the better answer

If the problem is price for a school or a nonprofit, check eligibility first: Canva Education is free for
eligible K-12 schools [25] and Canva for Nonprofits covers one team of up to 50 people [23]. If the
problem is one heavy AI user on a team, Business top-ups or AI Pass for that person may cost less than moving
everyone [6]. And if the problem is a single seat, Pro at US$144 a year is already among the cheapest
premium plans in this list.

## Moving your brand and files

Each tool exports differently, and that decides how much rework a move costs. Piktochart's paid plans download PNG,
PDF and PowerPoint [90]. Visme Pro adds PPTX, HTML5, video and GIF downloads [89]. Snappa Pro accepts
custom font uploads, so brand typography moves with you [91]. Canva lets you download designs, but templates
built with Pro content can be shared only as Canva template links [42], so those templates cannot leave Canva as
files. Plan to rebuild your most-used templates in the new tool rather than export them.

## Before you switch

Export your designs and brand assets first. Canva keeps designs on Free after a cancellation [13], but
templates that contain Pro content can be shared only as Canva template links, not as files you can carry
elsewhere [42]. Rebuild your brand kit in the new tool before the team moves. And if you are on legacy Canva
Teams pricing, note that cancelling is permanent; you cannot come back to that price [18].

## FAQ

**What is the cheapest alternative to Canva?**

For one person, Snappa Pro at US$120 a year and Adobe Express Premium at US$9.99 a month are slightly cheaper than Canva Pro. For five people, Snappa Team at US$240 a year is far cheaper than Canva Business.

**What is the best Canva alternative for designers?**

Figma for interface and product design; Affinity, free with Canva, for photo, vector and layout work.

## Our verdict

There is no single Canva alternative. For a cheaper team plan, start with Adobe Express. For software design,
Figma. For companies with designers already in Figma, Buzz is worth a pilot. For infographics, Visme or
Piktochart. For the lowest price on simple social graphics, Snappa. And for professional editing, open the
Affinity licence you already have.
