LiveChat, now sold to new customers as Text plans, fits a sales team whose leads arrive through the website, WhatsApp or Messenger and need an answer while the buyer is still on the page. Every Text plan includes the AI Agent that qualifies leads, the shared Inbox and sales reports, starting with Essential at $19 per user per month billed annually or $25 billed monthly. The plan a working sales team needs is Growth, at $79 per user per month billed annually or $99 billed monthly, because routing rules, working hours, supervision and chat summaries start there.[1] **Text catches and qualifies leads; it does not replace your CRM.** Text itself says its customer list is not a full CRM.

**$79** — Text Growth, per user per month billed annually ($99 billed monthly): the first plan with chat routing rules.

- **10 / 200** — AI resolutions per account a month, Essential / Growth
- **3 / 30** — Proactive campaigns, Essential / Growth
- **7 days** — Sales attribution window for orders from Nov 2026

## Essential or Growth: the plan question for a sales floor

Essential suits one or two people answering pre-sales questions. It keeps conversation and file history for 60 days, runs one AI Agent with 10 AI resolutions per account a month, tracks 50 live visitors at once and allows 3 proactive campaigns. Tagging is limited to five default tags, one of which is sales. You also get one team, so there is nothing to route between. For a deal cycle longer than two months, Essential's 60-day conversation history is short when a buyer comes back. **Plan around that.**

Growth adds what a sales floor runs on: chat routing rules, working hours, takeover and supervision, shared canned responses, chat summaries, custom tags, up to 10 teams and 10 AI Agents, 200 AI resolutions per account a month, 400 tracked visitors, 30 campaigns and unlimited history. The step-up costs $60 per user per month billed annually, or $74 billed monthly. Five users cost $95 a month on Essential and $395 a month on Growth, both billed annually, by our arithmetic. That gap buys routing and oversight, not more chat.

Heavy AI use changes the math. Extra AI resolutions cost $49.50 per pack of 50 per account; packs recur each billing cycle until you reduce them at renewal, and unused resolutions never carry over. Reaching about 200 resolutions a month on Essential takes four packs, $198 a month. Billed annually, the Growth step-up of $60 per user per month costs less than those packs for one to three users and more from four. Billed monthly, at $74 per user per month, Growth is cheaper only for one or two users. Check your billing term first. Either way, the packs leave you without routing, supervision and summaries. Annual billing, renewal and cancellation terms are in our [LiveChat pricing breakdown](/articles/livechat-pricing).

## Capturing and qualifying leads without a form

On every Text plan, the AI Agent can run a Collect customer details skill: it asks for name, email, company and needs, shows your privacy note and saves the answers to the customer profile.[2] It collects phone numbers as well as email addresses. When a visitor types contact details mid-conversation instead, the Inbox detects emails and phone numbers, archived chats included, and a rep adds them to the profile with one click. Text's lead view lists only customers who left an email or phone.

Qualification got its own structure in 2026. Since August, customer profiles carry a Qualification section with four ready-made fields, a free-form field and a completeness indicator, and custom fields can be filed as Qualification (counted in the profile score) or Additional context on all plans. Since October, a Qualified leads segment under Customers and Contacts collects every lead that meets your criteria. Text says it scores conversations by intent and value and sends high-potential leads to sales first, leaving low-priority questions to the AI.

After hours, the AI Agent keeps answering on every Text plan, while offline forms and asynchronous messages collect contact details for the morning. If no teammate takes a chat within 30 seconds, you can let the AI Agent hand over or open a ticket. Text warns that its AI can be wrong or outdated. Text's customer story says EnterTech, a casting-platform company, built its AI Agent by scanning its website, added product knowledge, used Knowledge gaps to expand it, reclaimed 30% of team time and won 260 new B2B clients in three months.

> 💡 **Fill the Qualification fields first:** Set the four ready-made Qualification fields before launch, so the Qualified leads segment fills itself instead of reps tagging by hand.

## Campaigns that open the conversation first

Proactive campaigns are capped at 3 on Essential and 30 on Growth, with 1,000 and 10,000 impressions a month. Since July 2026, each campaign can target desktop only, mobile only or all devices, so a mobile visitor gets a shorter pitch. Agents, not only admins, can create and run campaigns inside their own groups. The library includes four lead generation templates aimed at visitors who are exploring, seeking reassurance, hesitating or about to leave.

Conversion Radar flags nine sales and lead moments in real time, such as comparing products or returning to a cart, and pairs each one with a matching campaign.[3] Text's changelog says it is live for every account. Where an AI Agent is enabled, Radar campaigns use AI-personalized content by default, and those campaigns cannot be edited. That trade suits a store more than a B2B team with approved messaging. Many of the moments are shopping signals, so a software or services seller will lean on the templates and page rules instead.

> ⚠ **Radar campaign copy is locked:** With an AI Agent enabled, Conversion Radar campaigns use AI-personalized content by default and cannot be edited, so approved sales messaging belongs in your own campaigns.

## Getting the hot lead to the right rep

Routing is where Growth earns its price. Rules send chats to a team by page URL, domain, country or channel, and the AI Agent transfers with the customer record attached. A visitor on the enterprise pricing page can land with senior closers while a visitor from Germany reaches the regional desk. Growth also supports agent groups per language, and a skill template detects Spanish speakers and moves them to a Spanish team. Managers on Growth can supervise chats and take one over.

Valuable accounts can jump the queue. Mark a customer as VIP and their chats stay at the top of the Chats list whatever the sort order; the VIP status follows the profile across chat, email and tickets. Website chat, email, Messenger, WhatsApp and SMS land in one Inbox with one customer record. SMS runs only through your own Twilio account. **Text is not a phone system**, by its own description, so teams that close by phone need a separate tool.

Text's customer story says Experiences by Wembley Stadium deployed its no-code setup without IT support, with the AI Agent qualifying leads and handing them to live chat in the same platform. Wembley reports a 2335% return on investment, as quoted on LiveChat's sales page. That figure is the customer's own claim, not a benchmark. The useful part for a sales lead is the setup pattern: the bot asks the qualifying questions, and a person takes over inside the same conversation.

## Pushing leads into Salesforce or HubSpot

CRM links run through Skills in Playbook, set up without code. Salesforce actions get, find, create and update accounts, contacts, leads and cases, and bulk imports go out as a Salesforce Bulk API job; you need an active Salesforce account connected first. Ready-made templates turn every first-time chatter into a Salesforce contact, qualify leads with AI and post a Slack ping, or open an upsell case when a ticket is resolved. Text's Salesforce page notes that Salesforce switched off its legacy Chat products on February 14, 2026.

For HubSpot, a template adds the shopper as a contact when a chat with buying intent ends, and the integration matches contacts and attaches transcripts and notes. A Mailchimp skill adds chat leads to an audience, though Text does not send the campaigns. Anything else takes a webhook. **A CRM connection does not sync every field by itself**: each action is configured and tested. Text marks its Salesforce routing and HubSpot sync reference guides as not production ready, and the Salesforce routing guide needs Growth or higher. The full list is in our [LiveChat integrations guide](/articles/livechat-integrations).

> 💡 **Test every CRM skill:** A Salesforce or HubSpot connection does not sync every field by itself; run each Playbook skill on test chats and check the Runs log before going live.

## Measuring what chat actually sells

Sales reports come with every Text plan. All Sales covers human and AI chats, AI Agent Sales isolates the bot, and the Sales conversion report compares AI chats, human chats and visits with no chat, with CSV export and campaign comparison. The Leads Conversion Report counts a chatting visitor as a lead once they leave an email or phone number, split by AI Agent, teammates and chat forms. A wins counter keeps sales closed, leads qualified and customers served in view. Agent performance and activity reports need Growth.

Attribution changed in November 2026. Orders count toward a chat within 7 days of it for orders from November 2026; earlier orders keep their original attribution and are not recalculated, so trend lines may show a step.[4] The sales-closed counter needs Shopify, BigCommerce or Sales tracker events, and sales tracking works on any stack through one API call. For B2B deals that close weeks later in a CRM, the lead reports tell you more than the revenue ones. Ecommerce sellers will find the store tools in our [ecommerce guide](/articles/livechat-for-ecommerce).

## FAQ

**Can the AI Agent qualify leads on the cheapest Text plan?**

Yes. The AI Agent and lead capture skills are on every Text plan, including Essential, but Essential includes only 10 AI resolutions per account a month and one AI Agent.

**Can I try the sales features before paying?**

Yes. Text offers a 14-day trial of Essential or Growth with no credit card, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends; you choose a plan and add a payment method yourself.

**Does Text handle sales calls?**

No. Text describes itself as not a phone system; it covers website chat, email, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and SMS through your own Twilio account.

**Who counts as a paid seat on a sales team?**

Every user who logs in to answer chats or tickets needs a seat on Text plans, with no minimum team size.

## The bottom line

For inbound sales, Text earns its place on the website and messaging side of the funnel: the AI Agent collects and qualifies details on every plan, campaigns open conversations, and Growth routes the hot lead to the right rep and lets a manager step in. Budget for Growth at $79 per user per month billed annually once you need routing between teams, supervision or history beyond 60 days. Keep the pipeline in your CRM. Phone-first teams should look elsewhere.
