**6 profiles** — per workspace under Sendible's new workspace plans (rolling out since August 2026), where each client's connected profiles belong.

- **No passwords** — clients sign in to each network themselves
- **12 months** — TikTok reconnection cycle
- **From Plus** — simple client approvals by email

## Why agencies want clients to connect their own accounts

Every agency knows the awkward part of onboarding. A new client has to give you access to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok, and the quick route is a password sent by email or pasted into a chat. **Client Connect is Sendible's way around that.** The agency places a small connection widget on its own website, sends the client to that page, and the client signs in to each network and links the profile to Sendible directly. The agency never handles the client's login [1]. Sendible's own comparison pages describe Client Connect as included on every plan, so it is not a feature you buy your way into, even on Core.

The benefit is bigger than tidiness. A password sent around in email sits in several inboxes long after the project ends, and it breaks the moment the client changes it. With Client Connect, the client keeps control of the account, Sendible holds the connection, and your team works inside Sendible without ever knowing the password. It also changes the tone of the first week. You are not asking a business owner to trust you with their keys; you are asking them to click a link on your site. That is an easier request, and clients tend to answer it faster.

## Which networks it covers, and the two it skips

Sendible publishes to Facebook Pages, Instagram, X, LinkedIn profiles and pages, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, Threads, Bluesky and WordPress. Client Connect works with the social side of that list. Its help article names only two exceptions: **Instagram reminder profiles and WordPress blogs cannot be added through Client Connect** [2]. Reminder profiles are the Instagram option that emails someone to post by hand; Sendible does not say why they are excluded. WordPress uses an application password, which your team adds separately.

The newest networks arrived in the summer of 2025. Sendible's August 12, 2025 changelog announced that Client Connect now supports Threads, TikTok and Bluesky, together with email attribution tracking and reconnection emails, in both standard and white-label accounts [3]. The release notes log the same change a few weeks earlier, on July 22. Either way, an agency whose clients live on TikTok or Threads can now onboard them the same way as Facebook. Facebook Groups are a different story. Sendible removed them on April 15, 2024, after Facebook stopped supporting them through its API, so Groups cannot be connected at all.

## How Client Connect works, step by step

### Setting up the widget

The setup happens once, on your side. Sendible generates a piece of widget code, and you embed it on a page of your agency website, such as a private onboarding page. One widget can run on several domains if you list them separated by commas, though it looks the same on all of them. **Sendible supplies only the code.** Its help article says it gives no support for installing or customizing the widget on your site, so whoever manages your website does that part. Plan for a short test on a staging page before you send the link to a paying client.

### What the client sees

The client opens your page and picks the network to connect. From there, each network runs its own sign-in. Facebook asks for Page admin access or full control, Instagram needs a Professional account and Admin (not Editor) rights on the linked Facebook Page, held for at least 7 days, a LinkedIn Company Page needs a Super Admin, and Bluesky uses a username plus an app password created in Bluesky settings rather than the main password. The client approves the connection inside the network's own screens, and the profile appears in Sendible. Nobody types a password into anything your agency controls.

### Where the profile lands

This is the step that catches teams out. The help article says profiles added through Client Connect always land on the main admin user, even when another user generated the widget code. The main admin then shares or transfers the profile into the right place. Transfers move the profile out of the source, so sharing is the safer default, and Sendible's own best practice is to connect a profile once and share it wherever it is needed. One more quirk: adding the same account again updates the existing profile only if every setting matches. **Any difference creates a duplicate.**

1. Generate the widget code in Sendible and embed it on a page of your website.
2. Send the client the page link with a short note on which networks to connect.
3. The client signs in to each network and approves access.
4. The main admin shares the new profiles into the client's workspace.
5. Check for duplicates before the first post is scheduled.

> 💡 **Check roles before the call:** Ask the client to confirm Facebook Page admin rights, a Professional Instagram account with Admin (not Editor) rights on the linked Page held for at least 7 days, and LinkedIn Super Admin before the onboarding call. Most failed connections come down to a missing role.

## Reconnections without chasing the client

Connections expire, and that is where agencies lose hours. TikTok profiles must be reconnected every 12 months, and a fix in Sendible's August 18, 2026 changelog set the LinkedIn reconnect notice to a yearly cycle rather than every 60 days. Without Client Connect, each expiry means another round of emails asking for access. **Sendible sends an automatic reconnection link by email** to the address entered when the profile was added through Client Connect, so the client can renew the connection without your team in the middle. That address cannot be changed later; if it stops working, copy the reconnection URL from My profiles and send it yourself, so ask for a durable client address at connection. The August 2025 update extended those reconnection emails to the newer networks too.

Some reconnections are simpler than they look. Reconnecting one Instagram profile also reconnects the other Instagram Business profiles connected through the same Facebook user, which helps when one marketing manager owns several locations. LinkedIn takes patience: reconnecting several Company Pages through one account can take up to 20 minutes. Build both into your calendar. A yearly reminder, a month before the TikTok anniversary of each client, costs nothing and prevents the morning when a client's scheduled videos quietly fail to publish.

> ⚠ **Profiles land on the main admin:** Whoever generated the widget, new profiles arrive on the main admin user. Share them into the client's workspace so the client's team, calendar and approvals see them.

## Where connected profiles live: one workspace per client

Client Connect brings profiles in; workspaces decide where they go. Sendible announced workspaces on August 18, 2026 and is rolling them out progressively, so some help pages still describe older plans and per-user setups. Under the current model, **each client, brand or location gets its own workspace with 6 social profiles**, its own calendar, inbox, reports and queues, and users are unlimited on every plan. That fits Client Connect neatly. One client, one workspace, and the profiles they connect go into it.

The plan sets how many workspaces you start with: 1 on Core, 3 on Plus, 7 on Premium, 15 on Elite and 50 on Enterprise [4]. Plus costs $99 a month billed monthly, or $84.15 a month billed yearly. An extra workspace on Plus costs $30 a month billed monthly. So an agency with five clients, each needing one workspace, would pay $99 + $60 = $159 a month on monthly billing, by our arithmetic. Every client you onboard through Client Connect is therefore a workspace decision as much as a technical one. Count clients first, then pick the plan. Note also that Sendible gives no refunds for prepayment or proration, so a yearly plan bought for a client roster that later shrinks stays paid.

## The client's side after connecting: approvals and access

### Approvals by email, no login needed

Once the profiles are in, most clients want to see posts before they go out. **Core has no approvals.** Assignment and simple approvals start on Plus, and custom multi-step approval workflows arrive on Premium. A workspace can have a post approver who must approve every post before it is sent. The client gets a dashboard notification and an email asking for approval, and reviewers can approve by email without logging in. Since June 2026, approvals also play video directly in the tasks view, so a client can watch a Reel or TikTok before signing off.

Two details are worth knowing before a client's first review. Marking a task as done does not approve it; the post goes out only after approval. And approving a task whose scheduled time has already passed sends the post immediately. That is handy when a client signs off late, and less handy if the post was tied to an event that has passed. Tell clients both rules in the welcome email, alongside the time of day they should expect approval requests, so a slow reply does not surprise anyone.

### Roles and permissions

Sendible has three user types: admins, team members and clients. Client users see only their own account by default, and client dashboards let them preview and approve their own posts without seeing other clients. On higher plans (Sendible does not say which), permission groups restrict which areas and features a user can open, and Sendible's white-label pages describe using them to show or hide reports, content libraries and engagement tools per client, which supports a tiered service. **Fine-grained, role-based advanced permissions arrive on Elite.** For most small agencies, the simple client user on Plus or Premium is enough.

## White label: branded onboarding and client trials

On Elite and Enterprise, white label puts the whole experience under your brand. White label is a paid option: per the pricing FAQ, Elite with white label costs from $349 a month in total, and Enterprise with white label from $800 a month in total. With it, clients add their profiles to the white-labelled dashboard through your website, approval emails are sent from your custom domain, and the onboarding can be styled with CSS to match your branding. Sendible's white-label page also mentions a possible onboarding fee because of upfront setup costs. Our [Sendible white label guide](/articles/sendible-white-label) covers the setup in detail.

White label also lets you offer trials to prospects. The trial length can be set to 7, 14 or 30 days, and 30 is the maximum. There is a cost. Sendible's white-label trial help page, written for the older per-user plans, says every trial account counts toward your user allocation and is charged, and upgrading a trial user to a standard user cannot be undone. Agencies that resell a self-service tool should confirm with Sendible how trials are billed under workspaces and close unused trial accounts promptly.

> 💡 **Share profiles, do not transfer:** Transferring a profile removes it from its source, while sharing keeps it available. Sendible recommends connecting a profile once and sharing it across workspaces.

## Security notes worth checking

Client Connect removes the biggest risk, shared passwords, but it is worth knowing what else protects the account. Sendible offers IP address restriction, which accepts individual addresses but not ranges, and its help page warns about lockout when travelling. Single sign-on is available only on Enterprise and needs approval of your use case and security documentation. Browser connections use TLS, user passwords are stored as salted hashes, and the service runs on AWS. Sendible's security page recommends two-factor authentication for the social accounts themselves but does not describe it for the Sendible login.

No SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate is named on Sendible's site or help center. Data sits on US servers under standard contractual clauses. For most local businesses that is enough. For a regulated client, ask Sendible directly before you promise anything in a contract. Offboarding matters too. When a client leaves, have them revoke Sendible's access on each network, and remember that Threads access can be revoked only on the Threads website, and TikTok access only in the TikTok mobile app.

## A client-onboarding workflow for an agency

Put together, the pieces form a repeatable routine. The list below is the version we would hand a new account manager, built only from what Sendible documents. It assumes the client has already signed and that you know which networks they use. The order matters. Workspace and roles come before the link, because a client who hits a permissions error on the first try rarely comes back to it the same day.

1. Confirm the plan has a free workspace for the client, or add one before the kickoff call.
2. Ask the client to check their roles first: Page admin or full control on Facebook, a Professional Instagram account linked to that Page with Admin (not Editor) rights held for at least 7 days, Super Admin on the LinkedIn Company Page, and a Bluesky app password ready.
3. Send the Client Connect page link, ask the client to enter an email address that will last (reconnection links go there and it cannot be changed), and stay on the call while they connect.
4. Share the new profiles from the main admin into the client's workspace and check for duplicates.
5. Create the client user, set a post approver, and send a test post for approval by email.
6. Add a calendar reminder for TikTok and LinkedIn reconnections, about 11 months out.
7. If your plan includes permission groups, decide which reports and tools the client sees through them.

The routine is short because the hard part, access, is handled by the client in a few minutes. Most of the remaining work sits on the agency's side, and it is mostly about putting profiles in the right workspace. Repeat the same seven steps for every client, and keep a simple record of who connected which profile and when, because that record is what tells you which reconnection is due next month. Our [Sendible for agencies guide](/articles/sendible-for-agencies) shows how this fits into the wider agency setup.

## How rivals handle client access

Sendible is not alone here. Agorapulse lists a Profile Connector in its security section, described as a secure way to invite clients or executives to connect their social profiles, and it handles external approvals through shared calendars (on its Advanced plan, or bought as an option), each with unlimited recipients, with multi-step approvals on its Custom plan. Metricool, on its Advanced and Custom plans, offers a link that lets clients connect their own networks, and its reviewers need no account; approval portal links expire after 72 hours, and Metricool emails a fresh link automatically when an expired one is opened.

Later supports external reviewers from its Growth plan, with review links that expire after 7 days and need no password; external reviewers can only leave feedback comments, and formal approval needs a team member with the Reviewer role. Hootsuite offers approvals with up to three layers on Advanced (with more than one user seat) and Enterprise, and Sprout Social allows up to three external approvers on Advanced. Buffer puts approval workflows and per-channel access on its Team plan. Sendible's distinctive mix is client-side connection, which its comparison pages say is on every plan, email approvals from Plus, and flat pricing by workspace rather than by user. ## FAQ

**What is Sendible Client Connect?**

A widget you embed on your website that lets clients connect their own social accounts to Sendible. They sign in to each network themselves, so the agency never handles their passwords.

**Which networks does Client Connect not support?**

Sendible's help center says Instagram reminder profiles and WordPress blogs cannot be added through Client Connect. Facebook Groups cannot be connected at all since Sendible removed them in April 2024.

**When did Client Connect add TikTok, Threads and Bluesky?**

Sendible's release notes log support for Threads, TikTok and Bluesky on July 22, 2025, and its changelog announced it on August 12, 2025, along with reconnection emails.

**Can clients approve posts without a Sendible login?**

Yes. Reviewers can approve by email without logging in. Simple approvals start on Plus, and custom multi-step workflows start on Premium.

**Does Sendible help install the Client Connect widget?**

No. Sendible supplies the widget code but gives no support for installing or customizing it on your website.

**How often do clients need to reconnect?**

TikTok profiles need reconnecting every 12 months, and Sendible asks for a LinkedIn reconnection once a year. For profiles added through Client Connect, Sendible emails a reconnection link to the address entered at connection, which cannot be changed later.

## The bottom line

Client Connect is one of the most practical features Sendible offers an agency. It takes passwords out of onboarding, covers the main networks including TikTok, Threads and Bluesky, and sends reconnection emails so expired connections do not turn into chases. Its limits are small but real: no Instagram reminder or WordPress profiles, profiles that land on the main admin first, and no help installing the widget. Pair it with one workspace per client, a post approver from Plus, and yearly reconnection reminders, and onboarding becomes a routine rather than a negotiation.
