**9 profiles** — By our arithmetic, Sendible's Plus plan costs less than Buffer's Team plan from nine to 18 profiles on both billing terms.

- **6 profiles** — in every Sendible workspace, unlimited users
- **Per channel** — Buffer's billing unit, cheaper above ten
- **14 days** — Sendible trial; Buffer also has a Free tier

## Two tools built for different buyers

Sendible and Buffer both schedule posts across the main networks, but they start from different people. Sendible is built for agencies, multi-brand teams and franchises. Its central idea is the **workspace**: one client, brand or location, with its own calendar, inbox, reports, queues and six social profiles. Users are unlimited on every current workspace plan, though some older accounts and help pages still describe legacy per-user plans. Buffer starts from the solo creator and the small team. It sells a queue, a calendar and drafts across 12 networks, a community inbox, an analytics module called Insights and a developer platform. Its price follows the number of connected channels, and only its Team plan opens the door to several users.

That difference shapes everything below. Sendible charges for the structure you manage, so a team of fifteen pays the same as a team of two. Buffer charges for each account you connect, so a lone freelancer with four profiles pays very little. **Neither model is cheaper in every case.** The sums change with your channel count, your need for sign-off and your clients' expectations. We compared both from their own pricing pages, help centers and developer documents, as checked in October 2026, and priced four real setups.

## Per plan versus per channel

Sendible sells five plans, each priced for the whole account. Core costs $35 a month billed monthly, or $29.75 a month billed yearly, for one workspace [1]. Plus costs $99 a month billed monthly, or $84.15 a month billed yearly, for three workspaces. Premium costs $199 a month billed monthly, or $169.15 a month billed yearly, for seven. Elite costs $299 a month billed monthly, or $254.15 a month billed yearly, for fifteen. Enterprise costs $750 a month billed monthly, or $637.50 a month billed yearly, for fifty. Growth beyond a plan comes as extra workspaces of six profiles each, cheaper on higher plans.

Buffer's paid plans are priced per channel. Essentials costs $6 per channel a month billed monthly, or $5 billed yearly, which means $60 per channel charged once a year [2]. Team costs $12 per channel a month billed monthly, or $10 billed yearly. The discount is graduated. Channels one to ten pay the standard rate, and only the channels above ten get cheaper: on monthly billing, channels 11 to 25 cost $4 each on both plans, channels 26 to 50 cost $3, and channels from 51 cost $1 on Essentials and $2 on Team. On yearly billing, Team channels above ten cost $40, $30 and then $20 each a year.

### Two rules that move the bill

Each model hides one rule worth knowing before you count. On Buffer, upgrading from the no-cost tier means paying for every connected channel, including the first three, and its Start Page counts as a channel too. On Sendible, every connected account of any type takes one of a workspace's six slots. A brand with eight profiles therefore needs two workspaces, not one and a third. **Count profiles per brand, not in total**, when you price Sendible. The four setups below assume brands that fit neatly into blocks of six.

> 💡 **Count profiles per brand:** Sendible workspaces hold six profiles each, so a brand with eight profiles needs two. Price your real brand list, not the total channel count.

> ⚠ **Buffer bills every channel on upgrade:** Leaving Buffer's Free tier means paying for every connected channel, including the first three, and its Start Page counts as a channel.

## Four setups, priced side by side

The fair comparison sets Buffer's Team plan against the Sendible plan that covers the same profiles, because Team is the only Buffer plan with more than one user and with approvals. Every total below is ours, worked from each pricing page, and each is given on both billing terms. We assume every client or brand has exactly six profiles. Real accounts are rarely that tidy, so treat these as reference points and rerun the sums with your own list.

### Six profiles: one brand

A single brand with six profiles fits Sendible's Core plan. On the per-channel side, six channels on Essentials come to $36 a month billed monthly, or $360 a year billed yearly, by our arithmetic, against $357 a year for the flat plan. The two are almost level for one person. Add a reviewer and the picture changes. Core has no approvals, so the flat route moves to Plus at $99 a month billed monthly. Six channels on the per-channel Team plan cost $72 a month billed monthly, or $720 a year. **At this size the per-channel route is the cheaper team tool**, by $27 a month on monthly billing and $289.80 a year on yearly billing.

### Eighteen profiles: three clients

Three clients with six profiles each fill Sendible's Plus plan exactly. Eighteen channels on the per-channel Team plan come to $152 a month billed monthly, or $1,520 a year billed yearly, since the eight channels above ten drop to the lower rate. The flat plan costs $1,009.80 a year. That puts the per-plan route ahead by $53 a month on monthly billing and $510.20 a year on yearly billing. The crossover sits early. By our arithmetic, the flat Plus price beats the per-channel Team price from nine channels up to its 18 profiles on both billing terms.

### Forty-two profiles: seven clients

Seven client workspaces fit Sendible's Premium plan, which also adds content libraries, campaigns, branded reports and multi-step approvals. Forty-two channels on the per-channel Team plan come to $231 a month billed monthly, or $2,310 a year billed yearly. The flat plan costs $2,029.80 a year. The gap narrows here, to $32 a month on monthly billing and $280.20 a year on yearly billing, because the per-channel rate keeps falling while each extra block of six costs a full workspace.

### Ninety profiles: fifteen clients

Fifteen workspaces fill Sendible's Elite plan. Ninety channels on the per-channel Team plan come to $335 a month billed monthly, or $3,350 a year billed yearly. The flat plan costs $3,049.80 a year, so it stays ahead by $36 a month or $300.20 a year. Between these reference points the lead can flip: by our arithmetic, Buffer Team is slightly cheaper in parts of the range from about 50 to 75 profiles and from about 110 profiles, for example $287 against $299 a month at 66 profiles. At this scale, the price gap is small. What separates the two is the feature list: dynamic fields, role-based permissions and the white-label option sit only on one side. Our [Buffer pricing guide](/articles/buffer-pricing) walks through the per-channel tiers in more detail.

## A no-cost tier against a 14-day trial

Buffer has a Free tier with no card. It covers three channels and one user, ten scheduled posts per channel at a time, 100 ideas, the AI Assistant, Insights with 30 days of history and the community inbox with five AI reply suggestions a week. It also includes API access with one key and 3,000 requests a month. A lifetime cap of eight unique channels per network applies. That makes Buffer easy to start with and slow to outgrow for a hobby account. Its paid features come with a 14-day trial on the Team plan, one per account: with a card on file it converts and charges, without one the account drops to Free. Nonprofits get half off paid plans.

Sendible has no no-cost tier. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial, and no card is needed to start. The pricing FAQ says you are asked for a credit card at the end, and a card added during the trial is billed automatically. During those two weeks you cannot add users or profiles to the subscription, and posting is limited to 20 posts a day per workspace. **There are no refunds for prepayment or proration**, so a yearly payment is a firm commitment. Nonprofits get 15% off monthly or 25% off yearly. Test the real workflow inside the trial, then pay.

> ⚠ **Sendible prepayments are final:** Sendible gives no refunds for prepayment or proration, and a card added during the trial is billed when it ends. Settle your plan before paying yearly.

## Where Sendible pulls ahead for agencies

Sendible's case rests on features an agency touches every week. **Client Connect** lets clients link their own social accounts through a secure widget, with no password sharing, and it gained TikTok, Bluesky and Threads in 2025. Approvals are tiered. Plus brings assignment and simple approvals, Premium adds custom multi-step workflows, and reviewers can approve by email without a login. Premium also brings content libraries, campaigns and branded reports through the Report Hub. Elite adds dynamic fields, which swap names or cities into one bulk post, and advanced role-based permissions.

White label is the sharpest difference. Sendible sells it as a paid option on Elite and Enterprise only: Elite with white label costs from $349 a month in total, and Enterprise with white label from $800 a month in total, per the pricing FAQ, about $50 above each plan price. It rebrands the dashboard, domain, reports and system emails. Our [white label guide](/articles/sendible-white-label) covers setup. If your clients must never see a vendor's name, ask Buffer directly whether it offers anything similar. Buffer's pricing page lists branded reports on its Team plan only, and its help center describes a PDF export with your own cover logo on any paid plan; either is a lighter promise than a rebranded app.

| Feature | Sendible | Buffer |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Users | Unlimited on every current plan | One on Free and Essentials; unlimited on Team |
| Approvals | Simple from Plus; multi-step from Premium | Team plan only |
| Inbox sentiment | Priority Inbox (Facebook Pages, Instagram, LinkedIn pages, YouTube comments) | No sentiment analysis |
| Branded reports | From Premium | Team on the pricing page; cover-logo PDF on any paid plan per the help center |
| Single sign-on | Enterprise | Not mentioned |

Buffer answers with simplicity. Team gives unlimited members, approval workflows, access levels per channel, community permissions and required two-factor sign-in. The queue, calendar and drafts are quick to learn, threads post natively on X, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon, and a guest mode lets someone draft without an account. For a small team that approves a few posts a week, that is often all the process it needs.

## Inbox coverage: comments, messages and gaps

Sendible's Priority Inbox gathers comments and messages with **sentiment** for Facebook Pages, Instagram and LinkedIn pages, plus YouTube comments [3]. It lags one to two hours while sentiment is analyzed, and it pulls engagement from roughly the last four days of posts. It leaves out X, TikTok, Google Business Profile and personal LinkedIn profiles. Sendible's own pages disagree on Instagram direct messages, so confirm before relying on them. Social Feeds show each profile in real time, without sentiment. Facebook messages can be answered only within 24 hours.

Buffer's community inbox covers comments across ten networks, though not Pinterest or Substack. It adds mentions, in beta, for X, personal LinkedIn profiles and Instagram (Facebook Login connections only), a comment score, AI reply suggestions and saved replies. It does not handle Instagram direct messages or Story replies, and Buffer offers no sentiment analysis or social listening. So the split is clear. Buffer reaches more networks for comments. Sendible reads the mood on fewer of them.

## Reports, history and exports

Sendible offers quick reports on every plan and a Google Analytics 4 connection. Custom branded reports of up to 30 modules come through the Report Hub from Premium, with two per workspace on Premium and three on Elite, and scheduled report emails apply to those custom reports only. Reporting data is kept for **90 days as standard**, and longer history needs exports. There is no Google Business Profile reporting, X reports were removed in late 2023, and Bluesky has no reporting yet. For an agency, the strength is the client deliverable: a branded PDF that lands in an inbox on a schedule.

Buffer rebuilt its analytics as Insights, which replaced the old Analyze tool on October 7, 2026. Free keeps 30 days of history. Essentials adds unlimited history, reports and custom UTM parameters, and paid plans export to CSV, Markdown or PDF with AI takeaways; the help center describes a PDF with your own cover logo on any paid plan, while the pricing page lists branded reports on Team only. Insights has no custom report builder, demographics or best time to post yet, and no Google Business Profile analytics. **Buffer keeps more history; Sendible builds richer client reports.** Neither covers Google Business Profile numbers.

> 💡 **Check Google Business numbers elsewhere:** Neither tool reports on Google Business Profile, so plan to read those numbers in Google's own tools.

## AI, API and MCP

Sendible's AI Assist runs on OpenAI and is text only: captions and post ideas, with no usage limit. It lives in the main Compose box, not the inbox, bulk importer, content library or Chrome extension. There are no AI replies and no AI images. Buffer spreads AI wider. Its AI Assistant is on every plan, also built on OpenAI, and it adds AI alt text, AI reply suggestions in the inbox and AI takeaways in Insights. Both list Anthropic and OpenAI as AI sub-processors.

The developer story is lopsided. Sendible describes API access for software partners and large organizations, but no public API documentation exists on its site or help center, and it mentions no MCP server. Its Zapier integration, in beta since January 2026, creates posts from apps such as Airtable and Notion. Buffer publishes a GraphQL API with keys or OAuth, an official MCP server, a command-line tool and rate limits by plan. Keys run one, three and five from Free to Team. It has no webhooks or media upload endpoint. **If you want an AI agent to queue posts, Buffer is ready.** Sendible is not.

## Ratings and who should pick which

**What users rate it, by platform**

| Platform | Rating | Reviews | As of |
|---|---|---|---|

_Rendered from our current record; these are other platforms' user scores, separate from our own Toolkit Score._

Review sites rate Sendible well, and TrustRadius is the coolest of them. On Trustpilot, low-star comments center on billing, refunds, support and cancellation, which matches the strict no-refund rule. Sendible scores 3.65 on our Toolkit Score. Buffer scores 3.92. The gap comes mostly from integrations and the developer platform, ease of use and value, with AI and documentation adding smaller amounts, while Sendible leads on capability. Sendible's strongest marks in our scoring are sentiment, capability and value.

Pick Sendible if you run an agency or a multi-location brand with nine or more profiles, several reviewers, clients who approve by email and a monthly branded report to send. Unlimited users and flat plans reward that shape. Pick Buffer if you are a creator, a small business or a lean team with a handful of channels, if you want a no-cost start, or if an AI agent or your own code must post through an API. On security, Sendible offers single sign-on on Enterprise, while Buffer runs a bug bounty and mentions no single sign-on. Neither names a SOC 2 or ISO certificate on its site.

## FAQ

**Is Sendible cheaper than Buffer?**

It depends on size and team. For a team that needs approvals, Buffer's Team plan is cheaper for up to eight channels by our arithmetic, and Sendible's Plus plan is cheaper from nine to 18 profiles on both billing terms, with Sendible still ahead at 18, 42 and 90 profiles; Buffer Team edges ahead again in parts of the range from about 50 to 75 profiles and from about 110. A single user on Buffer Essentials pays less than Sendible at almost every size.

**Does Sendible have a free plan like Buffer?**

No. Sendible offers a 14-day trial with no card to start and asks for a credit card at the end. Buffer has a Free tier for three channels and one user.

**Which tool is better for agencies?**

Sendible, for most agencies: workspaces per client, Client Connect, approvals by email without a login, branded reports from Premium and a paid white-label option on Elite and Enterprise. Buffer's Team plan suits small agencies with simpler approval needs.

**Do Sendible and Buffer have an API or MCP server?**

Buffer publishes a GraphQL API, an official MCP server and a command-line tool. Sendible describes API access for partners and large organizations but has no public API documentation and mentions no MCP server.

**Which inbox handles Instagram direct messages?**

Buffer's community inbox does not handle Instagram direct messages. Sendible's own pages disagree on them, so confirm with Sendible before relying on that.

**How many users do Sendible and Buffer include?**

Sendible includes unlimited users on every current workspace plan; some older accounts are still on legacy per-user plans. Buffer includes one user on Free and Essentials and unlimited team members on Team.

## The bottom line

Buffer is the better start and the better fit for small setups: a Free tier, a cheap per-channel Essentials plan, a public API with an MCP server and AI spread across the product. Sendible becomes the cheaper team tool from about nine profiles, by our arithmetic, and stays ahead at 18, 42 and 90, though Buffer Team edges ahead in parts of the range from about 50 to 75 profiles and from about 110. It adds what agencies sell to clients: Client Connect, approvals by email, branded reports and paid white label. Choose by your shape. Count profiles per brand, decide whether clients approve and see reports, then price both. Remember that Sendible prepayments are never refunded.
