**$29** — Bootstrap a month billed monthly, or $290 a year billed annually: the entry price for one user and five profiles.

- **6 plans** — priced per plan, not per seat
- **$10 a month** — each extra user or workspace
- **14-day trial** — of Pro, no card, no free plan

## What SocialBee costs, in short

SocialBee sells six plans, each priced per account rather than per person, and each in two billing periods. The entry plan, Bootstrap, costs **$29 a month billed monthly, or $290 a year billed annually**, and the largest agency plan, Pro150, costs $449 a month billed monthly or $4,490 a year billed annually [1]. Accelerate, Pro, Pro50 and Pro100 sit in between. There is no free plan. New accounts get a 14-day trial of Pro without a card, and the account locks when the trial ends. Paid plans carry a 30-day money-back guarantee, but it covers the first purchase only.

The headline price rarely decides the bill. What decides it is how many social profiles you connect, how many people need a login and how many separate client spaces you keep. SocialBee counts every connected profile toward the plan limit and mixes networks freely, so two Instagram accounts, one Facebook Page and two X profiles count as five. Three add-ons, priced the same on every plan, let you stretch a plan before you move up. All prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, GST and other taxes, which are added at checkout based on your location.

## The six plans and both billing periods

- **Bootstrap**: $29 a month billed monthly, or $290 a year billed annually ($24.20 a month); 5 profiles, 1 user, 1 workspace.
- **Accelerate**: $49 a month billed monthly, or $490 a year billed annually ($40.80 a month); 10 profiles, 1 user, 1 workspace.
- **Pro**: $99 a month billed monthly, or $990 a year billed annually ($82.50 a month); 25 profiles, 3 users per workspace, 5 workspaces.
- **Pro50**: $179 a month billed monthly, or $1,790 a year billed annually ($149.20 a month); 50 profiles, 5 users per workspace, 10 workspaces.
- **Pro100**: $329 a month billed monthly, or $3,290 a year billed annually ($274.20 a month); 100 profiles, 5 users per workspace, 20 workspaces.
- **Pro150**: $449 a month billed monthly, or $4,490 a year billed annually ($374.20 a month); 150 profiles, 5 users per workspace, 30 workspaces.

Every plan includes AI content generation with no monthly cap (fair use; SocialBee says this may change), the content categories that drive the posting schedule, and the mobile apps. The differences come in two kinds. Some are plain capacity: profiles, users, workspaces, categories and content sources. Others are real feature gates, and those matter more, because no add-on buys them. A workspace is a separate space with its own profiles, schedule and members, which agencies usually assign one per client. Running more than one workspace needs Pro or a workspace add-on.

### What Bootstrap and Accelerate leave out

Bootstrap is a one-person plan. It gives you 5 profiles, 1 user, 1 workspace, 10 content categories with up to 1,000 posts each, 10 content sources and 3 months of analytics data. It leaves out CSV upload, the bulk editor, the hashtag organizer, post approvals, internal notes and report export. **Accelerate is where the workflow tools start.** It doubles the profiles to 10, raises categories to 50 with up to 5,000 posts each, allows 30 content sources, keeps 2 years of analytics, and adds advanced analytics, the hashtag organizer, the bulk editor, CSV uploads and the post approval system. SocialBee labels it the most popular plan. It is still one user and one workspace, though, with no internal notes and no report export.

### Pro and the three agency plans

Pro is the first plan built for more than one person. It includes 25 profiles, 3 users per workspace, 5 workspaces, unlimited categories and content sources, PDF export of analytics reports and internal notes on posts. Pro50, Pro100 and Pro150 carry exactly the same features as Pro. What changes is scale: 50, 100 or 150 profiles, 10, 20 or 30 workspaces, and 5 users per workspace instead of 3. SocialBee pitches them at agencies managing many clients. There is no extra feature hiding at the top. If Pro does what you need, the agency plans only add room.

## Add-ons: when buying extras beats upgrading

SocialBee publishes three add-ons, bought inside the app and available on any plan. An extra user costs $10 a month or $100 a year. An extra workspace costs $10 a month or $100 a year. A pack of 5 extra profiles costs $15 a month or $150 a year. These are the add-ons on the pricing page (the help center also describes a $10-a-month X direct-posting add-on, covered below), and they buy capacity only. None of them unlocks approvals, internal notes or report export. Those stay tied to the plan, so a buyer who needs a gated feature has to move up a plan whatever the add-on math says.

The add-ons change the upgrade question from *which plan fits* to *where the crossover sits*. A team that needs one more profile pack or one more login is almost always better off adding it than jumping a tier, because the gap between plans is $20 a month or more. A team that needs several packs and several workspaces should price both routes, since add-ons stack up quickly. We do that for three common setups in the next section, using list prices only.

> 💡 **Price the add-on route first:** One extra user, workspace or profile pack usually costs less than the next plan. Compare both routes before you upgrade, but remember add-ons never unlock approvals, notes or report export.

## What real setups cost

### A solo marketer

A freelancer or owner running five profiles alone fits Bootstrap at $29 a month billed monthly, or $290 a year billed annually. The trouble starts at the sixth profile. Adding one pack of five profiles brings the bill to $29 + $15 = $44 a month, by our arithmetic, or $440 a year on annual billing. The middle plan costs only $5 a month more and brings ten profiles, CSV uploads, the bulk editor, approvals and two years of analytics. For a solo marketer who has outgrown five profiles, Accelerate at $49 a month billed monthly is usually the better buy.

### A three-person team

Bootstrap and Accelerate include one user each. The cheapest route on paper is Bootstrap plus two extra users, $29 + $20 = $49 a month by our arithmetic, but it keeps five profiles and has no approvals, CSV uploads or bulk editor, so most teams of three weigh two routes. The first is Accelerate plus two extra users, which comes to $49 + $20 = $69 a month, or $490 + $200 = $690 a year on annual billing. The second is Pro, which already includes three users per workspace at $99 a month billed monthly or $990 a year billed annually. The gap is $30 a month. For that money Pro adds 15 more profiles, four more workspaces, internal notes and PDF report export. Teams that discuss posts in comments, or send monthly reports to a manager or a client, will feel that difference every week.

### An agency with many clients

Workspaces are what an agency runs out of first. Pro covers five clients in five workspaces; a sixth client means one extra workspace, so $99 + $10 = $109 a month. Now picture twelve clients and 60 profiles. Pro50 covers 50 profiles and 10 workspaces, so the gap is two profile packs and two workspaces: $179 + $30 + $20 = $229 a month, or $2,290 a year on annual billing. Pro100 costs $329 a month billed monthly. Stretching Pro50 to 100 profiles and 20 workspaces would cost $179 + $150 + $100 = $429 a month, so the jump wins well before that. Recheck at every new client. Our guide to [SocialBee for agencies](/articles/socialbee-for-agencies) covers the client workflow behind these numbers.

## Monthly or yearly: what the discount is worth

Annual billing costs ten times the monthly price, which SocialBee describes as two months free and rounds to a 16% saving. In dollars, by our arithmetic, paying yearly saves $58 a year on Bootstrap, $98 on Accelerate, $198 on Pro, $358 on Pro50, $658 on Pro100 and $898 on Pro150. You can switch from monthly to yearly at any time from your account. Annual billing also brings two extras. Concierge Migration, normally $199, is currently free with an annual plan as a time-limited offer. And yearly buyers can email support for a code that unlocks SocialBee University, its training course, at no cost.

The catch is commitment. **The money-back guarantee runs only 30 days from the first purchase**, and SocialBee gives no prorated refunds after that. A yearly plan bought in month one is refundable for a month, then it is spent. If you are not sure the tool fits your team, start monthly for a cycle or two and switch to yearly once the schedule is running. The saving is real, but it only pays off if you stay the full year.

## Discounts for nonprofits and schools

Registered NGOs and educational institutions get 50% off all tool plans by emailing proof of their status to SocialBee [2]. The organization must be registered and must use SocialBee only for its own social accounts, so an agency cannot claim it for a nonprofit client. The discount applies to annual plans too and stacks on top of the regular yearly discount. A registered charity on Pro would pay $495 a year, by our arithmetic. For schools the discount lasts as long as the institution runs its social media on SocialBee; for NGOs, as long as the organization stays true to its cause.

Two edge cases are worth knowing. An unregistered group doing charitable work can write in and ask for an exemption by explaining what it does, though nothing guarantees approval. Government bodies are a different story. SocialBee has a page for public institutions, but it states no government discount, only the standard trial and plans. If you run social media for a public agency, budget at list price.

## Concierge Migration and what it really includes

Concierge Migration moves your setup from another scheduling tool into SocialBee. It costs $199 once; for now it is free with an annual plan, as a time-limited offer [3]. The free version has a time cap: 8 working hours on yearly Bootstrap or Accelerate, and 16 hours on yearly Pro. By CSV file, 8 hours usually moves about 150 to 500 posts. Larger libraries need paid post packs, starting at $39 for 100 more posts by CSV. Manual, post-by-post migration moves far fewer posts and has its own packs. Most migrations finish in 3 to 10 working days.

Three conditions deserve attention before you sign up. The team needs the login for your old tool, shared through LastPass. SocialBee recommends keeping the old subscription active until the migration is checked, so you pay for both tools for a while. And **the 30-day money-back guarantee does not apply when SocialBee performs the migration**. In practice, a free migration on an annual plan removes your refund. Migration is optional, though. The bulk import tools let you move content yourself and keep the guarantee intact.

## The trial, the guarantee and renewals

### The 14-day trial

The trial gives full access to Pro for 14 days, without a credit card. When it ends, posting stops and the account locks until you choose a paid plan. Your settings, schedule and content are kept, and posting resumes once you pay. Because the trial runs on Pro, it shows features that Bootstrap and Accelerate do not include, such as internal notes and report export. Note which ones you relied on before you pick a cheaper plan. Our [SocialBee free trial guide](/articles/socialbee-free-trial) walks through what to test in those two weeks.

### What the 30-day guarantee covers

SocialBee gives a full refund if you ask within 30 days of your initial purchase, on monthly and yearly plans alike [4]. It does not cover renewals. It does not cover migrations done by the SocialBee team. There are no prorated refunds for cancellations in the middle of a month, in the middle of a year or after a renewal has been charged. Billing errors and overpayments can be refunded. Requests go by email to the success team, and every refund is at SocialBee's discretion. The guarantee is worded generously, but it is narrow in practice.

### Auto-renewal, pausing and cancelling

Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel, charged to the payment method you used at purchase. FastSpring processes the payments, so the charge may appear on bank statements as FS* SocialBee Labs SRL, and it emails a reminder one month before a yearly renewal. SocialBee accepts cards, PayPal and Amazon Payments. From the billing page you can pause a plan for 1 to 3 months, which stops the schedule and all posting, or cancel it. A cancelled plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.

> ⚠ **Refunds stop after 30 days:** The money-back guarantee covers only the first purchase, never renewals or a migration done by SocialBee, and there are no prorated refunds. Test monthly before you commit to a year.

## Which published figures to trust

SocialBee's own pages do not all agree, so it helps to know which numbers are current. The pricing page still shows a birthday sale, code SBDAY2026, that cut prices in half for three months and ran until June 10. **That offer is over.** SocialBee's terms say it can revoke expired discount codes and has no duty to keep pricing information up to date. The homepage FAQ also lists outdated yearly totals of $292.32, $493.92 and $997.92, and one feature page repeats $997.92. The current yearly prices are $290, $490 and $990, as the pricing table, plan cards, about page and help center all show.

Two more traps sit outside the price table. Older customers sometimes mention lifetime plans, but no lifetime deal is sold now. X is less clear. The pricing page lists X among the direct-publishing networks, yet the help center describes direct X posting as a $10-a-month add-on. Its pages disagree on whether that add-on applies only to old lifetime plans. If X matters to your plan, confirm the cost with SocialBee before you buy.

> 💡 **Ignore the birthday sale:** The pricing page still shows the SBDAY2026 offer, which ended June 10. Budget with the current list prices from the pricing table and help center.

## How the price compares with rivals

Social media tools price on very different units, which makes headline figures misleading. SocialBee charges per plan, with users and workspaces bundled. Buffer charges per connected channel. Hootsuite and Sprout Social charge per seat. Metricool charges per bundle of brands, Later per social set, and Sendible bundles workspaces with unlimited users. Here are the entry plans on each tool's own pricing, with both billing periods where the vendor publishes them.

| Entry plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | What the price covers |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| SocialBee Bootstrap | $29 a month | $24.20 a month billed annually | 5 profiles, 1 user |
| Buffer Essentials | $6 per channel a month | $5 per channel a month billed annually | unlimited channels, 1 user |
| Hootsuite Standard | no published monthly rate | $99 per seat a month billed annually | up to 10 social accounts |
| Metricool Starter | $25 a month | $20 a month billed annually | up to 5 brands |
| Later Starter | $25 a month | $18.75 a month billed annually | 1 Social Set (8 profiles, one per platform), 1 user, no add-ons |
| Sprout Social Essentials | $99 per seat a month | $79 per seat a month billed annually | up to 5 social profiles |
| Sendible Core | $35 a month | 15% off with annual billing | 1 workspace, 6 profiles, unlimited users |
| RecurPost Starter | $9 a month | $90 a year | 2 accounts, 1 user |

Entry prices hide how each bill grows. A price per seat multiplies with every person who needs a login, and a price per channel multiplies with every profile you connect. A price per plan stays flat until you hit a limit, then moves in steps. Steps are easier to budget. For one person and a handful of profiles, the cheapest entry plan usually wins. For a team of three or more, the unit that grows fastest in your own setup matters more than the starting figure, so count people and profiles before you compare.

A few differences go beyond price. Buffer, Metricool and Later keep free plans, while SocialBee, Hootsuite and Sprout Social do not. RecurPost undercuts SocialBee on small plans, yet RecurPost charges $20 a month for an extra team member against $10 a month on SocialBee. RecurPost's comparison page says that for ten clients, 50 accounts and five people, SocialBee Pro50 at $179 a month comes out cheaper than RecurPost at $249 (its head-to-head page puts a similar setup at $239). Our [SocialBee alternatives](/articles/socialbee-alternatives) guide weighs these tools on more than price.

## FAQ

**How much does SocialBee cost?**

Bootstrap costs $29 a month billed monthly or $290 a year billed annually, Accelerate $49 a month or $490 a year, and Pro $99 a month or $990 a year. The agency plans run up to Pro150 at $449 a month or $4,490 a year, before tax.

**Does SocialBee have a free plan?**

No. New accounts get a 14-day trial of the Pro plan without a credit card, and the account locks when the trial ends until a paid plan is chosen.

**Is there a SocialBee discount?**

Yearly billing costs ten times the monthly price, about 16% off. Registered NGOs and educational institutions get 50% off all tool plans for their own social accounts, by emailing proof of status; it stacks with the yearly discount. The SBDAY2026 birthday code has expired.

**Does SocialBee give refunds?**

Only within 30 days of the initial purchase, on monthly or yearly plans. Renewals and migrations done by the SocialBee team are not covered, and there are no prorated refunds.

**How much do extra users cost on SocialBee?**

An extra user costs $10 a month or $100 a year on any plan. An extra workspace costs the same, and a pack of five extra profiles costs $15 a month or $150 a year.

**Which SocialBee plan is best for a small team?**

Pro includes three users per workspace, five workspaces, internal notes and report export for $99 a month billed monthly or $990 a year billed annually. Accelerate with extra users costs less but has no internal notes or report export.

## The bottom line

SocialBee is fairly priced for what it does, and its per-plan model is kind to small teams. Bootstrap at $29 a month billed monthly suits one person with five profiles. Accelerate at $49 a month is the better buy once you need more profiles, CSV or approvals. Pro at $99 a month is where a team of three gets notes and report export, and the agency plans add room, not features. Use the add-ons ($10 a month per user or workspace, $15 a month per five profiles) to delay upgrades. Start monthly, because the guarantee covers only the first purchase, for 30 days, and renewals are never prorated. Ignore the expired birthday sale and the old FAQ totals, and confirm the X cost before you count on it.
