# TidyCal App: There Is No iOS or Android App. Here Is How to Run TidyCal From Your Phone

> Does TidyCal have an app? No native iOS or Android app. How to log in, manage bookings, get notified and share your page from a phone, what the mobile web app lacks, and which rivals have apps.

**0** — Native TidyCal apps for iOS or Android: the web app, in a mobile layout, is the app.

- **15 min** — to enter the code that verifies a new phone
- **1 day + 1 hour** — default client email reminders, every plan
- **US and Canada** — only mobile numbers that receive SMS

## The short answer: there is no TidyCal app

There is no TidyCal app for iOS or Android, and TidyCal's own help center says so plainly [56]. **The web app is the app.** TidyCal runs in your phone's browser with a mobile layout, hosts manage their bookings there, and clients book through the same pages they would open on a laptop. Third-party comparisons say the same thing, and TidyCal's comparison with Calendly lists the missing native app as one of the differences. Nothing on the roadmap changes that. Feature requests go to a public board where users vote anonymously, with no guaranteed delivery dates, so if you want an app, voting there is the only lever you have.

What TidyCal has shipped instead points elsewhere. Recent additions include a website builder, subscriptions, a storefront and booking reviews, the October 2025 update focused on reviews and calendar reliability, and the Pro plan launched in April 2026. An app has not appeared. The practical question, then, is not whether one is coming but whether the phone browser, your calendar app and email cover what you actually do on the move. For most hosts who plan their week at a desk, they do, and the rest of this guide shows how to set that up.

## Signing in on a phone without friction

Open TidyCal in your phone's browser, sign in, and bookmark the page on your home screen, because there is no separate app login to look for. You can sign in with an email and password, where passwords need at least 8 characters, or with Google or LinkedIn. **The sign-in method matters more on a phone than on a desktop.** A new browser triggers a 6-digit code by email, which you have to enter within 15 minutes, and only then is the phone trusted. Google or LinkedIn sign-in trusts the device automatically and skips that code. One caution: changing your account email later disconnects Google sign-in, so pick the method you will keep using.

> 💡 **Sign in with Google:** Google or LinkedIn sign-in trusts your phone automatically, so you skip the emailed device code.

### Device codes and what to do when one does not arrive

Device verification is on by default on every plan [97]. Codes expire after 15 minutes, and up to 3 resends are allowed per hour. You can switch verification off, but that weakens security. Keep it on. If a code does not arrive, check your spam folder first, wait, and then resend. Reset links work for 60 minutes if you need to start over, and support is reached at support@tidycal.com. One more case catches lifetime buyers: licenses are matched to accounts by email, so if your plan still shows Free on the phone, check that your AppSumo and TidyCal emails match. Activation is instant once they do.

### If a phone is lost or shared

Settings has no password field; passwords change only through the reset email, and a notification email follows the change. Trusted devices can be listed and removed under Settings, and each device is identified by a random cookie per browser. **Removing a device does not end its open session.** A password reset does, because it logs out every other session. So the safe sequence after losing a phone is a password reset first, then removing the device, then signing in again on the new phone. It takes minutes. On a shared phone, simply do not stay signed in.

## Running your day from the phone browser

Most daily tasks work in the mobile layout, and the dashboard adapts to the small screen. Bookings appear both in TidyCal and on your primary calendar, so your phone's calendar app shows them with no extra setup. Inside TidyCal, a Payment failed badge marks declined cards, which makes the bookings list worth a glance each morning before you open the calendar.

### Approving, canceling and rescheduling

Manual approval holds the slot until you accept or reject it. Requests never expire. Rejecting a request emails the client with an optional reason, but paid requests are charged at request time, so a rejection needs a refund in Stripe. Cancellations deserve the same care. **Always cancel inside TidyCal, not in your calendar app.** Deleting the event from the phone's calendar feels like canceling, yet the booking stays active in TidyCal and the client still expects the session. Canceling a paid booking does not refund it automatically either, so refunds follow in Stripe or PayPal, and hosts cannot delete bookings themselves.

Rescheduling has no payment step. Zoom and Google Meet keep the original link, while Teams meetings cannot be edited, so TidyCal replaces them with a new one. A coach who moves a Teams session from a phone should confirm the new link with the client. A rescheduled round robin booking may change host, and a recurring series cannot move as a whole, so you move one session at a time.

### Booking for a client and sharing your link

After a phone call, you can create a booking on behalf of a guest on every plan. The guest confirms through an emailed link, the slot is held meanwhile, and invites expire after 2 days by default. Sharing works the other way round: copy a booking type's link and send it through your own email app, a text message, X or LinkedIn. TidyCal stopped sending link emails for you in September 2026, so the copy-and-paste route is now the only one.

## Where the mobile menu falls short

The mobile layout covers most of the app. Settings keeps all eight of its sections, including Profile, Bookings and Trusted devices, on every plan, and the TidyCal app offers a Light, Dark or System appearance that does not touch your public booking page, which has its own dark mode. The gaps sit in the More menu, which lacks links to Polls, Store and Payments [68]. Those pages still work by direct URL. Date polls, available on all plans, are reached on mobile through their direct address, voters can use any phone, and the host then picks the final time.

The selling side needs bookmarks too. The storefront lives at tidycal.com/your-link/store and its Sales page is read-only, while the payments history page has no sidebar link at all. Refunds happen in Stripe or PayPal anyway. A host who runs date polls or sells workbooks will want three bookmarks on the phone: polls, the store and payments. One more caution applies to editing your website page on a phone. **Website changes are not saved automatically**, so a long edit on a small screen is easier at a desk.

> ⚠ **Three pages hide on mobile:** The mobile More menu has no links to Polls, Store or Payments. Bookmark their direct addresses on your phone.

## Getting alerts without push notifications

TidyCal has no app, so it sends no push notifications. Your mail and calendar apps do the alerting instead, and the calendar is usually the quicker of the two. Bookings are written to your primary calendar, and Google and Microsoft calendars update within minutes via notifications, so setting your calendar app to alert you about new events works on any phone. Email depends on how often your inbox refreshes. Apple iCloud is slower, because it is polled rather than notified: at most every two minutes while in use and at least hourly otherwise. A host who adds a personal appointment in Apple Calendar may see that slot stay bookable for a short time. You can resync manually once a minute.

### Host reminder emails: keep one alert, not two

TidyCal also sends hosts notification and reminder emails before bookings. The host reminder setting moved to Settings, Bookings in August 2026, and hosts can switch off their own reminders on every plan while client reminders keep going. Keep them on if you rely on email. If your calendar app already alerts you, turn the host emails off. One alert is enough. Two become noise.

> 💡 **Let your calendar alert you:** Bookings land on your primary calendar, so turn on new-event alerts in your calendar app and switch off host reminder emails if you get both.

### Zapier and an AI assistant as stand-ins

Hosts on paid plans can rebuild something close to push alerts with Zapier, which offers three TidyCal triggers: booking created, updated and canceled. A simple Zap can turn every new booking into a phone notification through another app, at the cost of a Zapier account and some setup time; note that form answers arrive in one field. SendFox, by contrast, connects natively on every plan and receives booking contacts as soon as the form is submitted, but it needs a paid SendFox account and suits newsletters, not alerts.

TidyCal's MCP server is the other stand-in, and it is the closer one to a mobile dashboard. It lets Claude and other MCP clients read your bookings and availability, so an AI assistant app on your phone can tell you which slots remain this week and who is booked next. It is read-only, though, and cannot book or cancel, and TidyCal's own pages disagree on which plan it requires.

## What your clients get on their phones

Clients need no app. That holds on every plan. They see your booking page in their browser, with times converted to their own time zone, and they can pick another one. Hosts who travel should check their own time zone setting before a trip, because limit periods follow the host time zone, and a 12-hour or 24-hour format is selectable. Pages and emails appear in your chosen language, from 40 language options set once per account, with Arabic and Hebrew running right to left; your own text is not translated, and the landing page stays in English. Themes and dark mode carry over to the phone.

### Paying from a small screen

Clients pay at booking through Stripe or PayPal, and embedded pages accept the same methods. Stripe wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay are registered automatically, so they appear without host setup and spare the client from typing card details on a phone. PayPal offers Venmo to eligible US buyers. Groups work too. Each group attendee pays separately, unless guest invites are used, in which case the primary booker pays once for everyone, with guests per attendee capped at 10. Packages let clients pick a set number of dates and pay upfront. Recurring bookings default to weekly for 8 sessions, each charged before it starts, and only bookers can cancel a whole series.

### Reminders that reach the client's phone

Every plan sends clients email reminders 1 day and 1 hour before the booking, paid plans can customize up to two times, and attendees cannot opt out. A reminder whose time has already passed is skipped. Confirmation pages offer buttons for Google Calendar, Outlook, Office 365 and Yahoo Calendar, or an .ics download, so clients without a connected calendar are still covered. Text reminders are narrower, and the limits bite for international practices. A practice with clients in both Toronto and London will see texts reach only the Canadian clients, while the London clients rely on the two email reminders. The rules:

- SMS reminders need Agency Lifetime or Pro [89].
- They reach only US and Canadian mobile numbers; landlines cannot receive them.
- They are one-way, so clients cannot reply, and recipients can stop them by replying STOP.
- You can send up to two per booking type, and each package date gets its own.
- The booking form has no built-in phone field, so add a required Phone number question.

### Other ways clients find and book you

Embedding your booking page on your website works on every plan; the embed resizes itself, accepts payments and shows a responsive page on phones. Every account can also publish a landing page with 10 sections in one of 4 themes, with hero images resized to 1200 by 1200 pixels at most. The public directory lists booking types by category on every plan, with ratings and starting prices, and acts as a small marketplace clients can browse from a phone. After the session, review requests arrive by email, clients rate 1 to 5 stars from any phone, only first names show publicly, and reviews publish immediately.

## If you really need an app: what the rivals offer

**Calendly** offers iOS and Android apps to book meetings, get notifications and change availability, and its pricing page lists the mobile app on every plan, Free included. It charges per seat, though. For a five-person team, Calendly Teams billed annually runs $960 a year against $99 for TidyCal Pro, so the team has to decide whether push alerts and changes on the go are worth about $861 a year. Our [TidyCal vs Calendly comparison](/articles/tidycal-vs-calendly) covers the rest of that trade.

**Setmore** lists iOS and Android apps on its pricing page, and its Free plan covers up to 4 users, so a solo host who mainly wants an app can get one there. Moving means giving up TidyCal's packages, subscriptions and storefront, which Setmore's pricing page does not list at all. **YouCanBookMe** also has no native app and points to responsive booking pages, so switching there gains nothing. TidyCal's own comparison says **Cal.com** offers a mobile app, but we did not verify that on Cal.com's pages, so test it first if an app is the reason to move.

## Do you need an app at all?

Start with what you actually do on the phone. Checking bookings works through your calendar app, and approving requests, canceling and booking for clients all work in the browser. What an app adds is push alerts and quick availability changes. **Hosts who change availability several times a day from a phone, or who want an instant push alert for every booking, should switch**, because Calendly's apps offer both and TidyCal offers neither. Hosts who check bookings once in the morning and once at night can skip it. The browser, the calendar app and email reminders cover them, and price then decides. If you stay, a short routine makes the phone browser feel close to an app:

- Bookmark the dashboard, polls, store and payments pages on your home screen.
- Sign in with Google or LinkedIn to skip device codes.
- Turn on calendar alerts for new events.
- Keep either host reminder emails or calendar alerts, not both.
- Add a Phone number question if you text clients.
- Test one booking from your own phone.

> ⚠ **Removing a device is not enough:** Removing a trusted device does not end its open session. After losing a phone, reset your password first, which logs out every other session.

## FAQ

**Does TidyCal have an app?**

No. TidyCal has no iOS or Android app; it runs in the phone browser with a mobile layout, and no app is promised on its roadmap.

**How do I get TidyCal booking notifications on my phone?**

Bookings are written to your primary calendar, so your calendar app notifies you; TidyCal also sends host emails, which can be switched off. Paid-plan hosts can also route Zapier triggers to an app that sends phone alerts.

**Can I cancel a TidyCal booking from my phone's calendar?**

No. Deleting the calendar event does not cancel the booking, so cancel inside TidyCal, and refund paid bookings in Stripe or PayPal.

**Do my clients need an app to book?**

No. Clients book and pay in their browser on every plan, with Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, and get email reminders 1 day and 1 hour before.

**Does TidyCal send text reminders?**

Yes, on Agency Lifetime or Pro. Texts are one-way and reach only US and Canadian mobile numbers, and the booking form needs a Phone number question.

**Which scheduling tools have a mobile app instead?**

Calendly offers iOS and Android apps on every plan, Free included, and Setmore lists iOS and Android apps too. YouCanBookMe, like TidyCal, has no native app.

## The bottom line

TidyCal has no app and promises none. For a host who plans at a desk, the phone browser, email and calendar alerts are enough, and clients need nothing installed on any plan. Phone-first hosts who need push alerts should look at Calendly or Setmore. The trade-off is clear in money terms: a solo host keeps TidyCal Free or a $29 license without an app, or pays $120 a year for a Calendly Standard seat billed annually to get one, along with routing and webhooks a solo host may never use. Everyone else can stay, and our [guide to using TidyCal](/articles/how-to-use-tidycal) walks through the full setup.
