**$29** — One lifetime payment that switches on video links, analytics, Zapier and the API; calendars and payments already work on Free.

- **3** — Zapier triggers, no actions
- **0** — configurable webhooks
- **1 / 10 / unlimited** — calendars read on Free, lifetime plans and Pro

## What TidyCal connects to, and what each plan unlocks

TidyCal connects Google, Microsoft 365 and Apple calendars, Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams, Stripe and PayPal, Zapier, SendFox, GA4, Tag Manager and TikTok [45]. On top of that sit a REST API and a read-only MCP server. **It has no webhooks.** In the app, integrations are grouped by type: calendars, video, payments, analytics and automations. Each connection is set once, and booking types then choose what to use. That keeps setup simple, and it also means the real question is not what TidyCal connects to, but which plan switches each connection on.

The answer splits cleanly. Free users can connect 1 calendar, accept Stripe or PayPal payments, import from Calendly, embed their pages and use SendFox. Free cannot auto-create video links, and it has no Zapier, API or MCP. Video conferencing, analytics and automations need Individual Lifetime, Agency Lifetime or Pro, SMS needs Agency Lifetime or Pro, and calendar limits rise with each plan. Read across the table below and the jump from Free to Individual Lifetime is where most integrations switch on, because a single $29 lifetime payment unlocks video links, analytics, Zapier and the API. Agency and Pro mostly add texts, team tools and unlimited calendars. Our [TidyCal pricing guide](/articles/tidycal-pricing) covers the plans themselves.

| Integration | Free | Individual Lifetime | Agency Lifetime | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Calendars read | 1 | 10 | 10 | unlimited |
| Stripe and PayPal | yes | yes | yes | yes |
| Zoom, Meet, Teams links | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Zapier, API | no | yes | yes | yes |
| SMS | no | no | 10 a month | unlimited |
| SendFox | yes | yes | yes | yes |

> 💡 **Use Google for Meet links:** Google Meet links are created on a Google primary or pinned calendar, so keep a Google calendar as primary if you want Meet.

## Calendars: the connection everything else depends on

### Google, Microsoft 365 and iCloud behave differently

Google Calendar connects through OAuth on every plan, changes arrive within minutes through notifications, and free, canceled and declined events do not block time. A host who keeps work and personal life in one Google account gets the smoothest setup, especially with Google Meet. Microsoft 365 also connects through OAuth, but work or school accounts may need IT admin approval. Busy, Tentative, Out of office and Working elsewhere events block time, and **declined invitations still block on Microsoft**. A consultant who declines a client's Outlook invite keeps losing that slot until the event is deleted or switched to Free, which surprises hosts used to Google.

Apple Calendar connects through CalDAV with an app-specific password, on every plan. iCloud is polled rather than notified, at most every two minutes while in use and at least hourly. TidyCal says Calendly stopped new iCloud connections in August 2024, so Apple users fit well here. That is the whole list, though. Proton Calendar and self-hosted CalDAV cannot connect, and there is no separate option for an on-premises Exchange server; Microsoft 365 cloud accounts work, but companies on their own Exchange servers cannot connect. That is a hard stop. When an AppSumo reviewer asked for CalDAV, the team pointed to iCloud passwords.

### How many calendars are checked, and how

Free reads 1 calendar, Individual Lifetime 10, Agency Lifetime 10 and Pro unlimited, while Agency licenses bought before September 1, 2026 read 25. Several accounts can connect, but reading is capped by plan, and after a downgrade to Free, reading caps at 1 when turned on again. An event blocks time only on a reading-enabled calendar when it is set to Busy, and every reading calendar is checked for every booking type. You can resync manually once a minute, and Troubleshoot availability shows why a given slot is blocked.

Bookings are written to the primary calendar on Free, while paid plans can send each booking type to a different calendar. View-only shared calendars can block time but cannot receive bookings, so pick writable ones. The quiet risk is a broken connection. A calendar that disconnects keeps blocking the events it had already synced for 30 days and then stops, so a host who ignores the reconnect warning could find old busy times reopening as bookable slots about a month later. **Watch reconnect warnings.**

## Video links: Zoom, Google Meet and Teams

Automatic video links need a paid plan on every provider, and Free cannot auto-create them. **Zoom** is the most forgiving: the Zoom, TidyCal and calendar accounts need not share an email, rescheduling moves the same meeting, and canceling deletes it unless group attendees still use it. Zoom's waiting room settings still apply. **Google Meet** works with a personal Gmail as well as Google Workspace, creates links on the Google calendar bookings are added to, and keeps the same link on reschedule. Clients can choose Meet or Zoom. Meet does need a Google primary or pinned calendar.

**Microsoft Teams** is the fussy one. It needs a paid plan and a Microsoft 365 Business or Education account [61], and personal accounts usually cannot generate links. Rescheduling replaces the meeting with a new link, and TidyCal emails you when Teams meeting creation fails. A therapist or coach on a personal Outlook.com account should plan on Zoom or Google Meet instead. Team bookings add one more wrinkle. Group bookings and date polls share one Teams meeting per slot, while round robin bookings get their own meeting. For Meet, round robin uses the assigned host's primary calendar, so every host needs a Google primary calendar.

> ⚠ **Teams needs a business account:** Teams links need a Microsoft 365 Business or Education account. Personal accounts usually cannot generate them, so plan on Zoom or Meet instead.

## Payments: Stripe, PayPal and the 1% fee

### Stripe is the main rail

Stripe connects through OAuth on every plan, and new booking types default to Stripe since March 2026. Subscriptions, recurring charges, storefront sales and cancellation fees all need Stripe. TidyCal uses Stripe automatic payment methods, so any method enabled in your Stripe dashboard, such as Klarna or Amazon Pay, appears on one-time paid bookings without touching TidyCal. Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Klarna and Amazon Pay need domain registration, which TidyCal handles, while recurring bookings skip redirect methods such as iDEAL and Bancontact. ACH bank transfers work for subscription booking types priced in US dollars, with ACH Direct Debit active in Stripe. TidyCal holds the slot while an ACH payment processes, and bank verification can take 1 to 2 business days.

### PayPal, Venmo and one processor per booking type

PayPal connects with your PayPal email, and PayPal offers Venmo to eligible US buyers. Additional payment methods are not available on PayPal booking types, and PayPal cannot run subscriptions, so it suits single sessions. Each booking type uses one processor. Both can be connected and chosen per type, but a client cannot choose between them at checkout, so a host who wants to offer card payment and PayPal for the same session has to publish two clearly named booking types. Each booking type also has its own currency from a fixed list, with a default set in Settings, and clients pay in that currency.

### Where the fee applies

The 1% platform fee applies to Stripe payments on Free and lifetime plans [37]. PayPal carries none, no fee applies where Stripe does not allow platform fees, and Pro removes it. **Processor choice affects cost.** A host who sells only single sessions can save the fee by switching to PayPal, but anyone selling subscriptions, storefront items or cancellation fees must stay on Stripe. If a Stripe card is declined, the slot is held about four hours, the client gets a link by email, and a Payment failed badge appears on the booking. PayPal payments that cannot create a booking are refunded automatically. There is no payment test mode.

## Automations: Zapier, SendFox and the missing webhooks

### Zapier triggers and what they send

Zapier needs Individual, Pro or Agency, and it offers three triggers: Booking Created, Booking Updated and Booking Canceled [48]. No actions are listed. It is the main automation route, and it carries more of the load than usual because TidyCal has no built-in Salesforce, HubSpot or Mailchimp integration. A Zap can create or update a CRM contact when a booking is created, use the Booking Updated trigger for changes and handle cancellations separately. Mailchimp, ConvertKit and other email tools also go through Zapier. Expect some maintenance. All booking question answers arrive in a single questions field, so a coach with five intake questions needs a formatter step to split them before they reach separate CRM fields.

### SendFox, the native email tool

The direct email marketing integration works only with SendFox. It works on all TidyCal plans but needs a paid SendFox account, and TidyCal points mailing-list emails to it. Contacts are sent as soon as the booking form is submitted, even before a session takes place, and poll voters are sent too. So every booker and voter flows into your mailing list automatically. **Make sure the form asks for marketing consent.**

### No webhooks, so developers poll

TidyCal does not offer configurable webhooks, and the integrations page mentions none. Zapier or the API are the alternatives, both on paid plans, so developers must poll for changes. That costs requests. Polling once a minute to catch new bookings uses 1,440 requests a day within a limit of 60 a minute, which works for one account but becomes a real constraint for an agency watching many hosts at the same time. TidyCal's integrations page also lists ApiX-Drive, ViaSocket and Support Board, third-party connectors that add routes beyond Zapier. TidyCal does not run them, so check each one's own pricing and support.

> 💡 **Load ad pixels through Tag Manager:** There is no native Meta pixel or Google Ads setting. Load them through Google Tag Manager on a paid plan.

## Analytics and ad tracking

GA4 needs a paid plan. TidyCal sends six built-in events, including view_booking_page, select_date and booking_complete, and the GA4 ID must be G- plus 10 uppercase characters. Tags load on booking and confirmation pages, while account pages are excluded. With events running from page view to completed booking, a host can see how many visitors open the booking page, pick a date and finish, which shows where a paid campaign loses people. Tag Manager also needs a paid plan, and it runs on booking pages, booking type pages, reschedule pages and confirmations, including embeds. Test tags in preview mode, then publish.

There is no native Meta pixel or Google Ads setting, so those load through Tag Manager. The TikTok Events API sends a server-side Schedule event on each booking, with the attendee email hashed with SHA-256 before sending, which gives TikTok advertisers a clean signal. Others can skip it. Embedded booking pages send a bookingComplete message to the parent page, so your site can listen for it and fire conversions. The embed opens redirects in the full window, and UTM parameters are not shown on bookings, so track them on your side.

## The API and MCP server for developers

The REST API needs a paid plan and uses a personal Bearer token or OAuth. It lists 19 operations for bookings, booking types, contacts, store orders and teams, allows 60 requests a minute and accepts ISO 4217 currency codes. **It cannot create paid bookings.** The MCP server lets AI assistants such as Claude read bookings, booking types, availability and busy times. It is read-only and uses OAuth, not API keys. TidyCal's own pages disagree on access: the docs say Pro is required, while help says any paid plan. Our [TidyCal API guide](/articles/tidycal-api) goes through authentication and endpoints in depth.

## Team bookings, custom domains and account security

Team booking types raise the question of whose account is used. On team booking types, Zoom and Teams links use the creator's connection, Google Meet links come from the calendar the booking is added to, and Teams uses the owner's connected Microsoft account. On a round robin type that offers Zoom, the meeting is created with the creator's Zoom connection even when another host takes the session, so agree on whose account runs team meetings before publishing. Paid team bookings use the creator's Stripe or PayPal account, while on Managed types payments go to each member's own account, and Free members can accept payments there. Zapier and the API follow each member's own plan.

Custom domains change a few things too. reCAPTCHA does not work on custom domains, and mutual availability is hidden there. The store runs on the custom domain where the plan includes one, and analytics tags still load on booking pages. Test after switching. Security of connected accounts works the same everywhere. For Zoom, TidyCal stores only encrypted tokens and meeting URLs and removes the tokens on disconnect. It says it never shares your calendar with anyone else, and uses calendar data to prevent conflicts; bookers never see your calendar. Review connected apps yearly.

## The gaps, and how rivals compare

The missing pieces cluster around sales teams. TidyCal has no built-in Salesforce or HubSpot integration, no routing forms and no two-way CRM sync, though contacts can be exported as CSV on paid plans. It accepts Stripe and PayPal, not Square or Venmo directly, so businesses on Square must switch processors. Calendly's comparison says TidyCal has no browser extension. The Calendly importer works on every plan and only reads from Calendly, bringing event types, bookings and invitees, with an optional sync that checks Calendly every 15 minutes for 365 days ahead; prices and reminders do not carry over. There is no importer for Cal.com, Acuity Scheduling, Zoho Bookings or SavvyCal, and no CSV contact import, so those switches are manual.

The rivals go further in exactly those places. **Calendly** lists custom webhooks, HubSpot, Mailchimp and Zapier on paid plans, Salesforce on Teams, and tracking with Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel. A sales team that wants every booking to update Salesforce and send a webhook gets that there, while on TidyCal the same flow needs Zapier and still has no real-time push. Our [TidyCal vs Calendly comparison](/articles/tidycal-vs-calendly) covers the full trade.

**YouCanBookMe** lists webhooks and API access, integrates with HubSpot and Salesforce and takes Stripe, while TidyCal adds PayPal and SendFox. **Acuity** takes Stripe, Square, PayPal and Venmo and documents webhooks. On the public feedback board, users have asked for Cloudflare bot protection instead of Google's captcha and for payment timing options to come back, but votes are anonymous and no dates are promised.

## Setting up and testing in the right order

Order avoids confusion. Connect your main calendar first, then Stripe or PayPal, then the video provider, then analytics, and finally Zapier or SendFox, making a test booking after each step. Once everything is connected, book yourself and pay with a real card, since there is no payment test mode. Check the calendar event and the video link, then the GA4 event and the Zapier run, and refund the test in Stripe before you go live. If something misbehaves, reconnect and resync the calendar first; Microsoft work accounts may need admin approval, and iCloud needs an app-specific password.

> ⚠ **Declined invites block on Microsoft:** On Microsoft calendars, declined invitations still block time in TidyCal until the event is deleted or set to Free.

## FAQ

**What does TidyCal integrate with?**

Google, Microsoft 365 and iCloud calendars; Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams; Stripe and PayPal; Zapier; SendFox; GA4, Tag Manager and TikTok; a REST API and an MCP server.

**Does TidyCal have webhooks?**

No. TidyCal offers no configurable webhooks; use Zapier or poll the API on a paid plan.

**Which TidyCal integrations work on the Free plan?**

One calendar, Stripe and PayPal payments, the Calendly importer, embedding and SendFox. Video links, analytics, Zapier, the API and MCP need a paid plan.

**Does TidyCal integrate with HubSpot, Salesforce or Mailchimp?**

Not natively. TidyCal has no built-in Salesforce, HubSpot or Mailchimp integration, so those flows go through Zapier on a paid plan.

**Can TidyCal take payments through Square?**

No. TidyCal accepts Stripe and PayPal only, and Venmo appears only through PayPal for eligible US buyers.

**Does TidyCal charge a fee on payments?**

A 1% platform fee applies to Stripe payments on Free and lifetime plans. PayPal carries none, and Pro removes it.

## The bottom line

TidyCal covers the essentials: calendars, video, Stripe, PayPal and basic analytics, with calendars and payments free and video links, analytics and Zapier from a single $29 lifetime payment. It falls short on webhooks and CRM sync, and Zapier fills some of those gaps on paid plans. Solo hosts will be fine. Sales teams will not. A coach, tutor or consultant who books into Google or iCloud, takes Stripe or PayPal and meets on Zoom or Meet will find everything needed, while a sales or recruiting team will run into the missing webhooks and CRM sync early in setup.
