Work through the sections in order and write your answers down, because those answers become your plan choice. The first sections size the plan, the middle ones test fit for agencies and AI-minded teams, and the last ones protect your money. **If you need daily rankings, an API or white-label reports, you can stop early**, because Ubersuggest offers none of them today. ## Start with four numbers: sites, people, searches, keywords Ubersuggest sells three tiers, Individual, Business and Enterprise/Agency, and almost every limit scales with them. A project is one website, and the tiers include 1, 7 or 15 projects. Plans include 1, 2 or 5 users, admin included, and daily reports run 150, 300 or 900. Each project tracks 125, 150 or 300 keywords, which multiplies out to 125, 1,050 or 4,500 account-wide by our arithmetic. Extra projects and seats cost $5 a month each, and another 500 daily reports cost $5 as well, so a small overrun can be cheaper than the next tier. - **Sites.** Count every site you report on, including your own, then add one for growth. - **People.** A user cannot stay logged in on two devices at once, and shared logins are not an option: the Terms allow cancellation without refund for sharing one. - **Searches.** Invited users draw on the admin's pool. A researcher who opens 30 reports an hour fills Individual's 150 in five hours, while a team of five on Enterprise sharing 900 gets 180 each, which is enough for steady work but tight during a site migration (our arithmetic). - **Keywords.** Each keyword add-on adds 250 keywords to one project, up to five times. > 💡 **Multiply before you pick:** Write down sites x keywords x users before picking a tier. Extra projects, seats and reports cost $5 a month each, so a small overrun can beat the next tier. ## Rank tracking: can you live with weekly? This is the first real filter. "Daily updates are no longer available" on any plan since September 2025 [159], and the status page says the team is exploring a return, with no date. Weekly works for most small sites, where positions move slowly and content changes monthly. It does not work for news, ecommerce launches or anyone reporting daily to a client, and new keywords show data only after the next weekly run. **If you need daily rankings, stop here.** SE Ranking and Serpstat both track daily. If weekly is acceptable, three more checks decide the tier. - **Mobile.** Paid plans track desktop and mobile; the free plan tracks desktop only. Most local searches happen on phones, so if local search is the business, start at Individual. - **Locations.** Individual tracks 20 locations per project, Business and Enterprise are unlimited, and the free plan gets one. A business with 30 service areas needs Business at least. - **Pixel visibility.** Pixel Rank Tracking shows how far down the page a listing appears, so ads and AI Overviews that push a top-three result below the fold become visible. It is in beta and currently available on Enterprise plans. Nice to have, rarely essential. ## Audits, backlinks and competitor data ### Site Audit and the WordPress plugin Site Audit crawls 1,000, 5,000 or 10,000 pages per project weekly, and the cap applies per project. A 4,000-page store fits Business. A 25,000-page catalog does not fit any single project, so a large store would be audited only in part every week and the rest of its pages would never be checked inside Ubersuggest. WordPress sites get a genuine extra: the plugin runs Site Audit inside wp-admin, applies AI fixes for meta descriptions, titles and H1s with a preview, works alongside Yoast SEO and Rank Math, and recrawls with a one-minute cooldown. Each fix spends credits, and the cost is shown before you generate. ### Backlinks come from Moz Backlinks are where Ubersuggest is thinnest, and the reason is structural. The help center says its backlink data comes exclusively from the Moz API, so Ubersuggest's backlink numbers are Moz's numbers shown in a different interface. Moz Pro itself costs $99 a month on Standard. **If Moz's index is fine for you, Ubersuggest is a cheap way to see it.** Anyone who audits link profiles for a living will find the depth thin, while a monthly look at a competitor's top links is well covered. - **Depth.** Backlink reports show 2,000, 5,000 or 10,000 rows by plan, with new and lost links over 30 days and 3 years of link history on every plan. - **Cleanup.** The home page says there is no toxic-link scoring or disavow-file workflow, which agencies often need. - **Competitors.** Each project compares 5, 10 or 15 competitors, extra competitor domains are a $5 add-on, and keyword gap, top pages and traffic estimates work on any domain. - **Traffic estimates.** Figures for other sites are rebuilt monthly from Google data, and the rebuild can take up to six days, so schedule client reports for the seventh. Connect Google Analytics or Search Console for real numbers on your own site. - **Keyword scale.** Bulk analysis scores 50, 200 or 1,000 keywords at a time, and suggestions cap at 20,000, 50,000 or 100,000 a month, enough for a content team but not for a programmatic SEO project. ## The AI layer: prompts, answers and credits Ubersuggest's AI tools are where it stands out at this price, and also where the plan differences bite hardest. AI Prompt Ideas shows the prompts people ask AI assistants around a keyword, filtered by intent and brand, with 25, 50 or 75 prompt ideas per search by tier and 10 on Lifetime. AI Search Visibility tracks your brand inside AI answers, with a visibility score, share of voice, full answers and sentiment. It is included in monthly and yearly plans, while Lifetime gets a basic version. If AI answers drive your leads, give this section the most weight. - **Engines.** The home page FAQ names ChatGPT and Gemini on paid plans plus Google AI Overview on Enterprise, and says Perplexity, Claude, Grok and Copilot are not tracked today. The pricing page lists ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overview with no split by plan, so ask support in writing. - **Refresh.** AI tracking refreshes monthly on Individual, every two weeks on Business and weekly on Enterprise, so only Enterprise shows a launch campaign within days. - **Prompts.** Individual tracks 10 prompts per brand, Business 15 and Enterprise 20. With 3 responses per prompt on Enterprise, a brand gets 60 answers per weekly refresh (our arithmetic). Ten prompts is a sample, not a census. - **Credits.** Monthly credits run 250, 500 or 1,000, and a full Content Studio article costs 100, so Individual can generate two articles a month, Business five and Enterprise ten, before keyword refreshes eat into the same pool (our arithmetic). - **Content.** Content Studio drafts full articles with titles, a featured image and Markdown or PDF export, and AI Writer sells word packs of $9, $24 and $99 a month. > 💡 **Use the chat apps early:** Connect Claude or ChatGPT on day two of the trial. The MCP server and chat apps are the product's strongest edge and work even on a free account. ## No API, but MCP and the chat apps Ubersuggest has no public API and no webhooks, and the pricing FAQ says no API access plans are available at the moment [194]. Dashboards fed by scripts, Looker Studio pipelines and custom reporting are out. Without an API, every number has to be read in the app, exported by hand or pulled through an AI assistant. That works for a monthly report on five sites, but not for a dashboard that refreshes fifteen client accounts every morning. That rules out many agencies. The AI assistant route is real, though. The MCP server exposes 42 tools to AI clients such as Claude, Cursor, Windsurf and Codex over OAuth 2.0; it is conversational, not a REST API, and its calls draw on the same daily reports and credits as the app. An official ChatGPT app and a Claude plugin with nine skills also put Ubersuggest data inside those assistants, and both work on a free account. **If you already think in chat, this is the product's strongest edge.** Our [Ubersuggest API guide](/articles/ubersuggest-api) covers what the MCP route can replace. ## Agency, team and compliance checks Agencies hit the hardest stops here. The home page says plainly that Ubersuggest does not offer white-label reporting, branded client portals, an account switcher or SSO today, and reports export as CSV and PDF, so client-facing branded reports need another tool. For a freelancer whose clients never see the dashboard, that may not matter. The checks below cover team sharing and procurement. - **Client logins.** Invited users count against seats, cannot edit projects and draw from the admin's search pool. Giving a client a seat means paying $5 a month and sharing your workspace. - **Roles and alerts.** Invited users cannot edit projects, connect Google tools, buy add-ons, delete AI brands or see billing, and they do not receive project notifications by email. Anyone who must change project settings, connect Search Console or receive alerts has to be the admin. - **Certifications.** No SSO is offered, and the help center says Ubersuggest does not currently hold publicly available SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certifications. Procurement teams that require either will stop here. - **Data residency.** Customer data is stored in the United States on AWS us-east-1, and region selection is not offered. EU-only data residency rules rule it out. ## Billing: monthly, yearly or Lifetime Monthly billing comes with a trial and can be canceled any month. Yearly Individual costs $192 upfront against $348 for twelve monthly payments, but the Terms say annual fees are non-refundable, outside the EU, UK and Brazilian rules [6]. If you would stop within six months, monthly is cheaper, since six months cost $174 (our arithmetic). Lifetime costs ten monthly payments once and cannot be refunded, downgraded or transferred. **Start monthly and decide after a month.** Our [Ubersuggest pricing guide](/articles/ubersuggest-pricing) has the full tier-by-tier cost. ### The Lifetime bet Lifetime pays for itself against monthly billing after ten months and against yearly billing after about eighteen, since $290 divided by $192 a year is 1.51 years (our arithmetic). The bet is that the product, its terms and your needs stay the same for longer than that, and two of the three are outside your control. The Terms define Lifetime as lasting for as long as Ubersuggest exists, at the discretion of Neil Patel Digital, and let the owner change features. Daily tracking was removed for every plan in 2025, and Lifetime buyers were not exempt. The AI side is cut too: prompts run on demand only, you get 10 prompt ideas per search and fewer credits, and fuller AI needs a monthly Lifetime AI Add-On. Lifetime is an SEO plan, not an AI plan. Finally, "Lifetime subscriptions are not transferable to any other entity", including another email address you own, and deleting the account removes the plan for good. Register it with a permanent address. ### Add-ons, currency and discounts Seven add-ons cost $5 a month each, and AI Writer packs run from $9 to $99. Add-ons bill monthly even on yearly and Lifetime plans and are never refunded, so list the ones you need before choosing a tier; sometimes the next tier is cheaper. The pricing page localizes by IP, and from Europe it served euros. The currency is locked in at checkout, so compare the local price with the $29, $49 and $99 list first. Students and registered non-profits get 20% off monthly plans, and the student discount lasts 12 months before renewing at full price. ### Three first-year bills A blogger on Individual yearly pays $192. A freelancer on Business monthly with one extra user pays $648. A small agency on Enterprise yearly with three extra users pays $837, because the $15 a month for seats is billed monthly on top of the $657 upfront plan fee (our arithmetic). Add your own add-ons on top, remembering that they bill monthly whatever the plan. ## The trial, cancellation and your data Use the 7-day monthly trial on the tier you would actually buy. Add your real site, keywords and competitors, connect Claude or ChatGPT on day two, wait for one weekly ranking update, and decide on day six. The trial converts to a paid month on day seven unless you cancel in Account & Billing, and once a paid cycle starts, the charge is non-refundable. Eight of 21 negative reviews in our Trustpilot sample mention billing. Set two reminders. > ⚠ **Cancelling deletes your history:** Cancelling removes rankings and historical data except the oldest project with 25 keywords, and resubscribing does not bring it back. Export first. - **Refund rules.** EU and UK customers keep a 14-day statutory cancellation right, minus a reasonable charge for services used. Brazilian customers get 7 days. Everyone else gets the trial and nothing after it. - **Cancelling.** Access continues to the end of the cycle. Save the confirmation email, because some reviewers report charges after canceling. - **What you lose.** Cancellation removes rankings and historical data except the oldest project with 25 keywords, and resubscribing does not bring them back. Export first. - **The three-year limit.** Project rank tracking runs for a maximum of three years from creation, then stops, and recreating the project starts a new collection. Export yearly. ## Support, reviews and pages that disagree Paid plans include email support, and no phone line is listed, so plan around email turnaround rather than a quick call. They also include a 20-hour step-by-step SEO course with templates and worksheets and monthly live Q&A sessions. For beginners, that is real value: working through the course over a month takes about forty minutes a day (our arithmetic). Experts can skip it. **What users rate it, by platform** | Platform | Rating | Reviews | As of | |---|---|---|---| _Rendered from our current record; these are other platforms' user scores, separate from our own Toolkit Score._ Ratings are steady across the review platforms, but our own Trustpilot sample is bimodal, with 74 five-star and 20 one-star reviews out of 100. In the same sample, 34 of 78 positive reviews praise support while 8 of 21 negative ones criticize it. Read the one-star reviews before you buy. Ubersuggest's own pages also disagree: our dossier found 8 contradictions and 22 outdated pages, the biggest being the home page promising daily rank tracking while the help center says daily updates are gone. Trust pricing.md and the newest help page, and get answers from support in writing. ## When a rival fits better **Ahrefs Starter** costs $29 a month, the same as Individual. It is monthly only and runs on credits, with 50 tracked keywords in Rank Tracker, and Ubersuggest's own comparison page credits Ahrefs with an extensive backlink index. **Semrush SEO** costs $139 a month and tracks 500 keywords daily across 5 websites, which is daily tracking and a larger suite for $110 more a month than Individual (our arithmetic). If budget allows and rankings drive revenue, Semrush is the safer pick. **SE Ranking Core** costs $129 a month with 2,000 keywords tracked daily and a 14-day trial with no card, and **Serpstat Individual** costs $50 a month billed annually, with daily updates. Both fix Ubersuggest's biggest gap. Both cost more. **Mangools Basic** costs $49 a month for 200 tracked keywords and **Moz Pro Standard** $99 a month for 300; neither is cheaper per year than Ubersuggest Individual. The status page says a return is being explored, with no date. **Does Ubersuggest have an API?** No public API and no webhooks. An MCP server with 42 tools, a ChatGPT app and a Claude plugin give conversational access instead, drawing on the same reports and credits. **Is Ubersuggest Lifetime worth it?** It pays for itself against yearly billing after about eighteen months, but it cannot be refunded or transferred, its AI features are limited, and the Terms let the owner change features. **Where does Ubersuggest's backlink data come from?** From the Moz API, exclusively, so its backlink numbers are Moz's numbers shown in Ubersuggest's interface. ## The bottom line Ubersuggest is a strong buy if you track one to fifteen small sites, weekly rankings are enough, and you want AI answer tracking and AI assistant access at a low price without needing an API or white label. Count sites, keywords, users and searches first. Confirm that weekly tracking, Moz backlink data and the missing API are all acceptable. Then start monthly, keep or cancel by day six, and only after that consider yearly or Lifetime.
