VEED AI is two things under one name. The first is a set of editing assistants (Magic Cut, Edit with Script, Eye Contact Correction, Clean Audio, Remove Silences, Clips) that run on plan rules, not credits. The second is generation: AI Playground models, Fabric 1.0 talking videos, avatars, text to speech and AI Transitions, and every successful generation draws from one AI credit pool per workspace. That pool is thin on the entry plan. Creator, at $25 per editor seat billed monthly or $12.25 a month billed annually, carries 500 credits a month. **One Veo 3.1 clip costs 310.** Budget credits before you pick a plan.

**500 credits** — Creator's AI credits a month on monthly billing: one Veo 3.1 clip at 310 credits.

- **310** — Credits per Veo 3.1 generation (VEED rate table)
- **8 per second** — Fabric 1.0 credits at 720p, up to 30 s a clip
- **1 pool** — AI credits shared by every editor in the workspace

## Two kinds of AI tools, two kinds of limits

The editing assistants are where most people start, and plan rules gate them. Magic Cut is fully available on every plan, Free included, but it works in English only. It removes complete silences, filler words, repeated mistakes and awkward pauses, and its cuts stay editable on the timeline. Edit with Script, which turns a video into a transcript you trim by deleting words, is also on all plans. Neither spends credits. That makes them the cheapest way to judge whether VEED's AI side earns its keep before you pay for anything.

Eye Contact Correction, Clean Audio, Remove Silences and Clips follow a different rule: Free gets one try per account, while Creator, Pro, Studio and Enterprise get them in full. Each has a catch. Eye Contact works best on well-lit, high-resolution talking-head footage and switches off when the gaze strays too far from the camera. Remove Silences cuts only complete silence, so breathing and room noise stay in. Clean Audio has to run on each clip separately. Clips needs between 1 minute and 3 hours of speech and no longer accepts YouTube links, so you download and upload the file first.

AI Agent sits on top of these tools. You open it from the top-right corner of a project and type commands: add styled subtitles, reformat for TikTok or YouTube Shorts, strip pauses and filler words, add royalty-free music, start a screen or webcam recording, or generate a clip from a text description. VEED says the agent is still being improved and that its list of abilities covers only what it does today. Treat it as a faster route to the tools above, not a separate product. Typing beats hunting through panels, but the output is only as good as the tool underneath.

> 💡 **Test with short generations first:** Every successful generation is charged, even one you dislike. Try a 3-second Kling 3 clip at 60 credits before an 8-second one at 160.

## The dashboard, Rephrase and the studios

Since 21 August 2026 every account opens on the VEED AI dashboard. You type a prompt or paste a script of up to 5,000 characters, get an editable script, then generate a video; AI Studio lets you change scenes, characters and subtitles afterwards. Gen-AI Studio, whose tools moved into that dashboard, assembles videos from stock clips, avatars, text to speech and music rather than generating new footage, and opening one of its projects in the editor is a one-way move. New footage comes from AI Playground, which runs Veo, Kling, Seedance, Sora 2, Hailuo and other third-party models. Our [VEED AI video generator guide](/articles/veed-ai-video-generator) walks through each route.

AI Rephrase is the most surgical tool in the set. Inside Edit with Script you select 1 to 20 words, type new text of roughly the same length, and VEED regenerates that audio in the speaker's own voice without a reshoot. It supports 15 languages, runs one rephrase at a time and cannot be cancelled mid-run. Free gets one try; paid plans pay in credits. Other voice work uses ElevenLabs Eleven v4 for text to speech and cloning, with 5,000 characters per generation and **one voice clone per workspace**, which a team sharing several presenters will feel quickly.

## What spends credits, and what stays free

Credits pay for generation. AI Playground video and image models, VEED AI character videos, Fabric 1.0, avatars (regenerating one charges again), text to speech on every plan, subtitle translation, AI Rephrase on paid plans, AI Transitions, AI Background Expand (priced by duration), the AI image generator, AI Asset Templates and dubbing all draw from the pool. OpenEdit's calls to Fabric, background removal and Lipsync spend it too. Auto subtitles do not. They count against minutes instead: 10 a month on Free and a 50-hour monthly fair-use ceiling on paid plans.

The free side is longer than most buyers expect. Creating a project, writing or generating a script, Edit with Script, regular transitions and animations, and VEED AI videos that use a voice but no character cost nothing. Dubbing proofread (Enterprise only) costs no credits either, and a failed dubbing is credited back. The practical consequence is simple: you can draft a whole video in the dashboard, rewrite the script and line up scenes before a single credit moves. Spending starts at the Generate button. It shows the exact cost before you confirm [1].

## How far each plan's credits go

| Model | Credits (VEED rate table) |
|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 | 310 per generation |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | 150 per generation |
| Kling 3 Pro / Standard | 20 per second (3, 5 or 8 s) |
| Seedance 2.5 | 59.2 per second (4 to 30 s) |
| Hailuo 2.3 | 70 per generation |
| Fabric 1.0 at 720p | 8 per second |
| Flux 2 image | 1 per generation |

Set those rates against the allowances and the plans separate quickly. By our arithmetic, Creator's 500 monthly credits cover one Veo 3.1 clip, three 8-second Kling 3 clips at 160 each, or two 30-second Fabric clips at 240 each [2]. Pro's 2,500 a month buy eight Veo 3.1 clips or ten 30-second Fabric clips. Studio's 15,000 buy 48 Veo 3.1 clips. A single 10-second Seedance 2.5 clip costs 592 credits (59.2 a second), more than Creator holds in a month. Image work is the exception. Flux 2 at 1 credit barely dents any plan.

Free is a tasting menu, and only in some regions. Where offered, its 50 credits a month equal about 6 seconds of Fabric at 720p. Separately, users outside India, Pakistan and Bangladesh get 3 free Fabric generations of up to 10 seconds, and new workspaces in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and most of the EU get 3 free character videos in VEED AI. Avatars are not offered at all in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan or the Philippines. Those grants show whether the output suits you. They say nothing about what a month of real production costs.

> 💡 **Draft before you press Generate:** Projects, scripts and Edit with Script cost no credits, so finish the script and scene plan in the VEED AI dashboard first.

## The rules of the credit pool

One pool serves the whole workspace, so every editor draws from the same balance. Monthly plans refresh in full at renewal and unused credits expire. There is no rollover. Annual plans receive the year's credits at once (6,000 on Creator, 30,000 on Pro, 180,000 on Studio) and reset once a year [3]. That difference matters for bursty work: an annual Creator workspace could spend 19 Veo 3.1 clips' worth in one launch month, where a monthly one stops after the first. Credits have no cash value and are non-refundable.

Credits are charged only on successful generations. A failed job is free and refunded automatically. A result you dislike is charged anyway, and so is a clip you never use [4]. That rule rewards short test runs: try a 3-second Kling 3 clip at 60 credits before committing to an 8-second one at 160. On the web there are no one-off top-ups. To get more credits you move to a higher-credit variant of your plan, which works like any other upgrade; top-ups exist only in the separate iOS Lite app.

> ⚠ **Unused credits simply expire:** Monthly plans reset credits at each renewal and annual plans once a year; nothing rolls over and credits are non-refundable.

The variants are where the pricing turns odd. Creator's credit tiers run from $35 to $125 per editor seat a month on monthly billing, or $267 to $1,347 a year on annual billing. Pro's run from $55 to $145 a month, or $312 to $852 a year. Studio's run from $89 to $179 a month, or $585 to $1,665 a year. Creator with 2,500 credits costs $45 a month, the same as base Pro. Base Pro carries those 2,500 credits plus 4K export, multiple Brand Kits and translation in volume, and on annual billing it costs $265 a year against $387 for that Creator tier.

## Picking a plan for your AI workload

Match the plan to the generation you expect, not the feature list. If your AI use is cleanup, Creator at $25 per editor seat billed monthly, or $12.25 a month billed annually, unlocks Eye Contact, Clean Audio, Remove Silences and Clips in full. Its 500 credits go to occasional voiceovers and AI transitions; the exact cost of each shows on the Generate button. For regular AI video, Pro at $45 per seat billed monthly, or $22.08 a month billed annually, is the realistic floor. Studio, at $79 per seat billed monthly or $38.75 a month billed annually, adds custom templates and 15,000 monthly credits. Pick by credits first.

Seats multiply the bill. Every workspace member, including pending invites, is billed as a seat, while the credit pool stays shared by the workspace. Three Pro editors cost $135 a month on monthly billing or $795 a year on annual billing, by our arithmetic. Upgrades reset the billing period and VEED refunds nothing once you have used it, so the [VEED pricing guide](/articles/veed-pricing) is worth reading before you move up. Developers should note that the VEED API runs on separate prepaid credits ($1 = 100 credits), and editor credits never pay for API jobs; our [VEED API guide](/articles/veed-api) covers its rates.

## FAQ

**Does VEED use my videos to train its AI?**

VEED's privacy policy says content uploaded on the Free plan is used to develop its products, including training AI models; mobile uploads are excluded. Upgrading to a paid plan or deleting the account is how you object.

**Can I try VEED's paid AI tools on a free trial?**

No. VEED offers a Free plan rather than a trial of its self-serve plans; the only free trial is for Enterprise, with at least 3 users.

**Do VEED AI credits work in the mobile apps?**

VEED's iOS and Android apps use the same account as the web, and on Android paid plans carry a fixed credit allowance at web prices. The separate iOS Lite app is billed through Apple, so check in that app whether your web plan's credits apply there; one-off credit top-ups exist only in Lite.

**Which languages do VEED's AI tools handle?**

Magic Cut works in English only, AI Rephrase supports 15 languages, auto subtitles transcribe 100+ languages and subtitle translation covers 50+ languages on Pro and above.

## The bottom line

VEED's AI is strongest where it costs least: Magic Cut and Edit with Script on every plan, and the cleanup tools in full from Creator. The generative side is broad, with Veo, Kling, Seedance and VEED's own Fabric in one editor, but it is metered tightly, credits expire, and disliked results still cost. Start on Free, test the assistants, then size your plan by how many clips you will generate each month. Pro is the floor for steady AI video.
