This checklist is for anyone about to pay for Visme. Each item is something we found on Visme's own pages
that changes what you pay, what you can export, or how you leave. Read it before the checkout window, not
after. Prices are in US dollars, as read on 9 October 2026, and every number we calculated is marked as ours.

## Before you start designing

1. **Decide whether you need a file at all.** Basic cannot download anything: the help center's limits page
lists downloads on Basic as not allowed [113]. You can still publish a Basic project as a link, with the
Visme logo on it [2]. If a link is enough, Basic may be all you need.

2. **Know which format you need before you pick a plan.** JPG, PNG and PDF are on Starter; MP4, GIF and HTML5
start on Pro [113]; editable PowerPoint is on Pro [2]; SCORM and xAPI are Enterprise only [3].
Most buyers who regret their plan bought by price and discovered the format later.

3. **Test the template on Basic, but stop early.** In our 100-review sample, 14 of the 40 negative reviews
describe finishing the work before meeting the download paywall [109]. Build one page, try to download it,
and see which plan the export asks for.

4. **Check the Basic limits on what you import.** Basic uploads are capped at 10 MB per image, SVG or PDF,
Basic cannot upload video at all, and audio is capped at 5 MB [113]. A deck full of your own media will hit
those limits before it hits the slide cap.

5. **Mind the slide cap.** Basic allows 50 slides or pages per project [2]. The help center's limits page
also caps Basic at 10 actions and 10 file labels [113].

> 💡 **undefined:** Write the renewal date in your calendar the day you buy.

## Picking the plan

6. **Compare Starter and Pro on export, not on templates.** Both include all premium templates and assets
[2]. Pro adds editable PowerPoint, HTML5, video and GIF, the Brand Kit, analytics, privacy controls and
most integrations [2]. If nobody needs those, Starter is enough.

7. **Price both billing periods.** Starter is US$29 a month or US$147 a year per person; Pro is US$59 a month
or US$297 a year [2]. The cards show the annual price as a monthly figure, so read the yearly total.

8. **Do the break-even.** By our arithmetic, twelve months of Starter at the monthly rate cost US$348 and of
Pro US$708. Annual is cheaper once you stay about five months.

9. **Ignore the 50% label.** Visme's FAQ says annual billing saves up to 50% [3]; by our arithmetic the
saving on the published prices is 58% on both Starter and Pro.

10. **Check storage against your media.** Basic has 500 MB, Starter 1 GB and Pro 10 GB on the pricing page
[2]. The help center's limits page lists Pro at 5 GB on new plans [113], so confirm the figure on
your own account. Storage can be raised to 50 GB or 200 GB per user; we found no published price [113].

## Buying for a team

11. **Ask about the Pro team bundles.** Three users cost US$119 a month or US$864 a year; five users cost
US$159 a month or US$1,440 a year [2]. By our arithmetic, that is US$24 per person a month on the annual
bundles, below the single-user US$24.75.

12. **Count active users before upgrading.** On a paid workspace every active user needs a paid seat, and at
upgrade you pay for all currently active users or remove some first [73]. People invited without a free
license stay inactive until an admin pays for them [73].

13. **Decide who is Admin.** Admins can see and edit every project in the workspace; members see only what is
shared with them [72]. On Enterprise, custom roles narrow that further [72].

14. **Remember uploaded assets are shared.** Any photo, logo, icon, video or audio uploaded by one user is
usable by everyone in the workspace [72]. Visme suggests a separate workspace for confidential content
[72].

15. **Know the free workspace ceiling.** A free workspace can have up to 10 active users [73]. Beyond that,
the workspace must be upgraded.

> 💡 **undefined:** Run your real export on Basic before paying, to see which plan it needs.

## Enterprise requirements

16. **List what must be Enterprise.** SSO, enforced 2FA, the audit log, custom roles, approval workflows, SCORM
export, data segregation and a dedicated customer success manager are Enterprise-only [3]. If any one is
mandatory for you, price Enterprise from the start.

17. **Count to ten.** Enterprise starts at 10 users [2], and volume discounts apply from there [3].

18. **Ask about AI controls.** Only Enterprise workspace admins can manage or disable AI features for their
teams [3]. On lower plans, every user has the AI tools.

19. **Ask for viewer-level analytics in the demo.** Standard analytics show views, time and completion, with
visitor IP and location [75]. Per-viewer and per-slide data through a registration form requires
Enterprise [76].

## AI and data

20. **Check the credit allowance.** Basic has 10 AI credits a month, Starter 200, Pro 500 and Enterprise
unlimited, assigned per user in shared workspaces [70]. We found no way to buy extra credits.

21. **Price an AI Designer draft.** Each AI Designer generation costs 2 credits; the writer, resize and image
tools cost 1 each [2]. File uploads as source material for the AI Designer are premium-only [70].

22. **Know where prompts go.** Under the Terms, inputs to Visme's AI products are shared with third-party
providers such as fal.ai and OpenAI [4]. Keep sensitive personal data out of prompts, which the Terms
also ask [4].

23. **Disclose AI where it matters.** The Terms ask for reasonable disclosure when AI materially contributes to
content, and say lack of disclosure alone will not suspend an account [4].

> ⚠ **undefined:** Education plans are for personal, non-commercial use.

## Publishing and privacy

24. **Assume published means public.** By default a published project is public, and Google can eventually
index it [114]. Set it to private or password-protect it from the Share panel if it should not be found.

25. **Know that links update.** A published link stays the same after every edit, and viewers always see the
latest version [114]. That is useful, and it means a careless edit goes live at once.

26. **Know which formats keep links.** PDF and HTML5 keep hyperlinks; PNG, JPG, MP4 and GIF do not [114].

## Compliance

27. **Do not use it for health data.** Visme's healthcare page says "Visme is not a HIPAA-compliant platform"
and that it should not be used for protected health information [23].

28. **Test accessibility yourself.** The accessibility page offers alt text, a checker and captions [26]; an
older FAQ on the SCORM page says Visme is not 508 compliant [24]. Check the exported file.

29. **Ask for security documentation.** Enterprise customers can request questionnaires and infrastructure
details [3]. We found no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 claim on the pages we read.

> ⚠ **undefined:** Visme is not a HIPAA-compliant platform.

## Education and nonprofits

30. **Use an academic email.** Students pay US$48 a year and educators US$96 a year, with a .edu email or by
contacting support [2] [65].

31. **Read the commercial-use clause.** Education plans are for personal use only and may not be used for
commercial purposes [4].

32. **Get the nonprofit price in writing.** The structured data says 25% off after verification [2]; the
help center says a discounted rate based on the number of users [65].

## Mobile purchases

33. **Buy on the web.** The iOS app lists Starter at $149.99 and Pro at $299.99, a little above US$147 and
US$297 on the web [110]. Cancel app-store subscriptions in the store, not in Visme [67].

## Billing and renewal

34. **Calendar the renewal date on the day you buy.** Plans renew automatically on the monthly or yearly
anniversary until canceled [4].

35. **Expect no refund.** The help center says Visme does not refund early termination once a payment is
received [68]. Upgrades mid-cycle may be prorated; nothing else is [4].

## Leaving

36. **Cancel on desktop and click the email link.** Settings cannot be managed on mobile, and the subscription
isn't canceled until you click the confirmation link sent by email [66].

37. **Download before the end date.** After canceling, the account becomes Basic, which cannot download
[113]. Links and embeds tied to a canceled workspace may stop working [3].

38. **Delete only after canceling.** "Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone." [115] It requires canceling a paid plan first and a
second email confirmation, and when an Administrator deletes their account, all users and their projects go
with it [115].

## Exports and file limits

39. **Check video export against your canvas.** MP4 export works for projects sized 1366×1366 pixels or
smaller, and GIF export for 1500×1500 or smaller [3]. A large poster cannot become a video without
resizing.

40. **Check video length.** Visme says its MP4 exports run up to 10 minutes [24]. Longer recordings have
to be split or edited elsewhere.

41. **Know what PowerPoint export loses.** Editable PPTX export keeps the slides but not the animations
[3]. If the animation is the point, export HTML5, which keeps animations and opens offline in a browser
[69].

42. **Check upload limits on paid plans too.** Images, SVGs and PDFs are capped at 25 MB on paid plans, images
at 1600×1200 pixels, video at 100 MB (200 MB on request) and audio at 5 MB on Starter and 30 MB on Pro
[113]. Visme also limits uploads to 10 files per minute [113].

43. **Count animated graphics.** Every plan allows up to 50 animated graphics per project [113]. Heavy
animated decks reach that faster than you would think.

44. **Know the background remover limits.** It works up to 3 times per asset and 30 times a day on plans that
include it [113], and each use spends an AI credit [71].

## Forms

45. **Match form responses to your traffic.** Visme Forms take 1,000 responses a month on Starter and 5,000 on
Pro; Enterprise is custom [2]. A busy landing page can pass 1,000 in a week.

46. **Count your form integrations.** Basic can link one tool to Visme Forms, Starter three and Pro ten
[117]. A form that feeds a CRM, a spreadsheet and an email tool already needs three.

47. **Plan your own confirmation email.** Today the person who submits a Visme form receives no notification,
only an on-screen confirmation; auto-responses are listed as coming soon [94].

## Presenting and recording

48. **Check the recording limit.** Presenter Studio records up to 3 minutes on Basic and up to 45 minutes on
paid plans [113]. A full webinar will not fit in one take.

49. **Use the desktop app or Chrome.** Visme's troubleshooting page recommends Chrome or the desktop app to avoid
unintended saving or rendering problems [77]. Set that standard for the team on day one.

## Data and charts

50. **Test live data before you rely on it.** Charts and tables linked to Google Sheets update when the sheet
changes, but the live page must be refreshed to show it [3]. Power BI and Tableau are embedded, not
connected [3].

## Analytics and governance

51. **Know who sees which numbers.** Admins see analytics for every project in the workspace; members see only
their own published projects [75]. Data exports as CSV [75].

52. **Plan approvals before you scale.** On Enterprise, approved content that is edited later can be sent back
through review before republishing [3], and links can be given expiry dates [3].

## Housekeeping

53. **Be careful with delete.** Deleted projects are permanently removed and cannot be recovered [69].
There is no trash folder to fall back on.

54. **Do not wait for a lifetime deal.** Visme plans are monthly or yearly subscriptions only, and the help center answers the lifetime-license question with a plain no [69].

55. **Read support reviews as well as billing reviews.** In our sample, 21 of the 60 four- and five-star
reviews praise support by name or speed [109]. Use chat early: it is the part of Visme customers rate best.

## Setting up for the first month

56. **Build the Brand Kit before anyone designs.** On Pro and above, the Brand Kit stores logos, colors, fonts
and guidelines, and the Brand Wizard generates branded templates from them [81] [82]. Doing it
first saves reformatting every early project by hand.

57. **Decide whether you need your own address.** A custom subdomain for published projects is an Enterprise
feature [2]. On lower plans, published links sit on Visme's own domain.

58. **Check translation needs early.** Visme can translate projects into and from over 190 languages [26].
If you publish in several languages, test one project end to end before building twenty.

59. **Budget AI voices like any other AI tool.** Text-to-speech offers six voices with automatic language
detection [28], and AI credits are shared across all AI features, so narration draws down the same
allowance as AI designs [32].

60. **Plan quizzes outside Visme for courses.** SCORM files from Visme cannot grade a learner's test, so
graded quizzes belong in the LMS [24]. Visme's xAPI tracking statements are set up with your customer
success manager [24].

61. **Connect social accounts if you will schedule.** The scheduler publishes to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn,
Twitter, Pinterest and Slack from the Visme calendar, with drafts saved for team approval [48].

62. **Try the microsite builder on a real page.** It launched on 21 April 2026 and publishes responsive pages
with public or private access [10]. Test how your analytics and forms behave on it before a launch.

63. **Respect the AI Designer page limit.** AI Designer generates up to 10 pages of content per project
[70]. Longer reports are built in parts or extended by hand.

64. **Install the desktop app for offline work.** The Mac and Windows apps promise better performance and
offline creation [12]. That matters for anyone presenting from venues with poor connections.

65. **Check embeds before presenting offline.** An HTML5 download keeps animations and interactions, but
embedded YouTube videos and other third-party content still need an internet connection [69].

66. **Tell viewers what analytics collect.** Visme's analytics record each viewer's IP address, location,
time spent and source on public projects [75]. Check that your own privacy notice covers it before
sending tracked decks to clients or candidates.

67. **Treat education plans like any other subscription.** They are billed annually in US dollars and renew
automatically, so a student who graduates has to cancel before the next billing date to avoid the next charge
[65]. Basic also limits charts and data widgets, which matters for assignments built on data [2].

## The five checks that matter most

If you read only five lines: Basic cannot download; annual saves 58% and breaks even at about five months;
team bundles are cheaper per person; refunds are not given; and canceling is done only by the email link.

## FAQ

**Which Visme plan should a small team buy?**

A Pro team bundle: 3 users at US$864 a year or 5 at US$1,440, if anyone needs editable PowerPoint or HTML5.

**Can I get a refund from Visme?**

Visme's help center says it does not refund early termination once a payment is received.

## What we could not verify

Visme does not publish the price of storage upgrades, Enterprise prices, or prices for six or more Pro users
[113] [2]. Its AI image page does say unused credits do not carry over: the count returns to zero every
month [30]. Ask sales for the three missing prices, and keep the answers with your purchase record.
