Bolt.new (Bolt) sells four plans and meters usage in tokens rather than messages; Free and Pro are individual accounts, and Teams is billed per member. Free costs $0 a month and gives 1M tokens a month with a 300K daily limit. Pro starts at $25 per month billed monthly, or $18 per month billed yearly ($216 a year), for 10M tokens a month on one individual account. Teams starts at $30 per member per month billed monthly, or $27 per member per month billed yearly ($324 a year per member). Enterprise is quoted on request.[1] Our read: start on Free, learn how fast your project burns tokens, then pick the smallest Pro level that covers a normal month. Promo codes exist, but only from Bolt, its partners or approved events.

What the four Bolt plans include

The Free card covers public and private projects, hosting on a free bolt.host address with up to 10 GB of bandwidth and 333,333 web requests a month, and a 10MB upload limit. Sites carry Bolt branding. Bolt's card describes Free as permanent and says no card is needed at sign-up. Free has no custom domain, no private published sites, no Supabase connection and no Max agent; our guide on whether Bolt.new is free walks through those gaps.

Pro is where Bolt becomes a tool for shipping. It removes the daily token limit and the branding, lets you share sites privately, raises uploads to 100MB and hosting to 30 GB and 1 million web requests a month, shared by every site on the account, with optional pay-as-you-go beyond it up to a cap you set (Bolt publishes no rate). It also adds custom domains, SEO boosting, expanded database capacity, AI image editing and a choice of database provider. Unused tokens roll over. The Max agent, which reasons more deeply and burns more tokens, unlocks on paid plans. Support is email only, weekdays in business hours, with no promised response time.

Teams adds centralized billing, team access management, admin controls, private NPM registries and design system knowledge, and adding your own design system needs a paid Teams plan. Enterprise layers on SSO, audit logs, a dedicated account manager, 24/7 priority support and custom SLAs, plus flexible billing and procurement options. Bolt publishes no Enterprise price and no Enterprise token amount, so the only route to a figure is a demo with sales. Ask early.

Toolkit tip
Measure your token burn first

Free's 1M tokens a month, capped at 300K a day, show how fast your own project spends tokens before you commit to a paid level.

⚠️
Watch out
Annual plans downgrade only at renewal

A yearly Bolt plan can move up at any time but can only move down at the next annual renewal, which may be up to a year away.

The token levels hidden behind the Pro and Teams cards

The cards show only the entry level. A selector on the same pricing page raises Pro or Teams from 10M up to 900M tokens a month, with no step between 540M and 900M. The levels from 120M to 540M climb in even steps, and we show a sample of them below rather than every row. These are list prices per month on both terms, Teams per member:

About these prices

Prices shown are what Bolt.new lists for visitors in the United States, in US dollars. Your price can differ by country, currency and local taxes such as VAT.

Tokens a month Pro, billed monthly Pro, billed yearly (per month) Teams per member, billed monthly Teams per member, billed yearly (per month)
10M $25 $18 $30 $27
26M $50 $45 $60 $55
55M $100 $90 $110 $100
120M $200 $180 $210 $190
300M $500 $450 $500 $450
540M $900 $810 $900 $810
900M $1,500 $1,350 $1,500 $1,350

The ladder is not linear. By our arithmetic, a million tokens on Pro 10M costs $2.50 billed monthly or $1.80 billed yearly, while from Pro 120M upward the rate flattens at about $1.67 billed monthly and $1.50 billed yearly. Teams 10M works out, by our arithmetic, to $3.00 per million tokens per member billed monthly and $2.70 billed yearly. From 180M upward the Teams and Pro levels cost the same per month, so the Teams premium shrinks to nothing at volume.

Tokens are not messages. The selector estimates about 100 messages for 10M tokens, but that figure is Bolt's guess, not an allowance. Most tokens go on Bolt reading and syncing your project files, so the same prompt costs more as a project grows. In the help center's quickstart, a small sample app used about 204K tokens for its first build and about 70K for a minor title change. Some actions cost nothing: Code view edits, terminal commands, restoring a version, the Publish button and the security audit button.

⚠️
Watch out
Canceling forfeits rolled-over tokens

When a canceled paid plan reaches the end of its billing period, every allocated token, rollover included, is lost unless you re-subscribe before it expires.

Monthly or yearly billing: who actually saves

Bolt advertises savings of up to 28% with yearly billing, and that ceiling holds only on Pro 10M. Over twelve months, by our arithmetic, Pro 10M costs $300 billed monthly against one $216 yearly charge, a saving of $84. By our arithmetic every higher Pro level saves 10%: Pro 26M costs $600 billed monthly over a year against $540 billed yearly, and Pro 55M costs $1,200 against $1,080. Teams saves far less than Pro 10M. By our arithmetic, Teams 10M costs $360 per member billed monthly over a year against $324 per member billed yearly, which is 10%; at 26M the gap is about 8%.

A yearly plan is one up-front charge of twelve times the yearly monthly rate, while tokens still arrive monthly on your billing anniversary. The trap sits on the way down. An annual plan can only move to a higher annual plan, and any downgrade waits for the next annual renewal, possibly a year away. Pay yearly once your normal month is predictable. Until then, monthly is the cheaper mistake. A monthly downgrade takes effect at the start of the next cycle, so a wrong guess costs one month, not up to a year.

Pro for one builder, Teams for every member

Free and Pro are individual plans tied to one named person, and sharing a login to stretch limits breaks the Terms. Teams is billed per member. At 10M tokens, by our arithmetic, a Teams seat costs $5 more per month than Pro billed monthly ($60 a year, 20% more) and $9 more per month billed yearly ($108 a year, 50% more). At 26M and 55M the premium is $10 per member per month on both terms, by our arithmetic. A three-member team at 10M pays, by our arithmetic, $90 per month billed monthly ($1,080 a year) or $81 per month billed yearly ($972 a year).

Each paid member receives the level's monthly tokens, and tokens stay with the member who received them. The card's promise of shared capacity means team controls rather than one common balance, and a member without a paid seat can view projects but cannot prompt. On shared projects, whoever sends the prompt pays from their own tokens. By our arithmetic, five members at 10M pay $150 per month billed monthly ($1,800 a year) or $135 per month billed yearly ($1,620 a year), so yearly billing saves that team $180 a year.

Seats follow their own clock. On a monthly Teams plan, a removed member's seat stays occupied until the period ends and can be reused from the next renewal. On an annual Teams plan, a vacated seat stays occupied until the next monthly billing anniversary. The removed member loses their tokens immediately, and a new member added without a reusable seat pays for a full seat and gets the full monthly allotment (on an annual Teams plan, newly upgraded members get tokens at the next monthly billing anniversary).

Toolkit tip
Edit code without spending tokens

Code view edits, terminal commands and version restores use no tokens, so save prompts for work only the agent can do.

Rollover, reloads, upgrades and cancellation

Unused paid tokens stay valid for two months from the start of the billing cycle that issued them, only while the subscription is active, and the oldest tokens are spent first.[2] Bolt's example: tokens issued in early July last until early September. Free tokens never roll over, and the monthly bar resets on the 1st. Extra tokens, called reloads, are sold only on the top monthly Pro level or any annual Pro plan. Reload tokens never expire, but Bolt publishes no reload price.

Upgrades apply at once and are prorated, and they never cost you unused tokens. Moving from Pro 26M to Pro 55M on monthly billing, Bolt's help center says, charged $50 and added 29M tokens on the spot. Its annual example moves Pro 10M ($216 a year) to Pro 26M ($540 a year) in June for $189, covering seven remaining months.[3] Switching from monthly to the same level billed yearly waits for renewal; switching to a higher yearly level charges the full annual price immediately and resets the renewal date.

You can cancel any time and undo it before it takes effect. The plan and its tokens last to the end of the period. After that, every allocated token, rollover included, is gone unless you re-subscribe before it expires. Subscriptions are non-refundable except where the law requires, and AI usage already consumed stays non-refundable even when the output disappoints.[4] Domain purchases are final. Since November 2026, Link by Stripe handles billing and adds VAT or sales tax where your region requires it.

Promo codes, referrals and the discounts that do not exist

There is no standing public promo code. Coupon codes come from Bolt through its social channels or email, or from authorized partners, and you apply one when you upgrade or first subscribe. Any code we printed here would be invented. The referral program is more dependable: a friend you refer gets 20% off a paid subscription, and you earn 15% of their revenue, up to $50 per referral, paid in cash through Bolt's partner Cello. Paid referral rewards are not available on Free, and Bolt runs no affiliate program.

Event organizers have one more route. Through the Build with Bolt Events program, organizers of approved hackathons, demo days or workshops with 10 to over 1,000 attendees apply online; Bolt reviews each request within a week and, if it selects the event, emails free Bolt Pro promo codes for the organizer and every attendee. Not every event gets support. Beyond that, the list is short: no paid-plan trial, no student or educator discount and no nonprofit or startup pricing. Users must be 18 or older.

One plan now belongs to history. Lite was a $9-a-month Forge-only plan that closed to new sign-ups in October 2026; existing subscribers keep it, but nobody new can buy it, and it never included the Max agent or custom domains. Weighing Bolt against a builder that bills per workspace in credits? Our Bolt.new vs Lovable comparison sets the two billing models side by side without converting one unit into the other.

Frequently asked questions

Can I pay for Bolt.new with PayPal or a bank transfer?+

No. Pro and Teams accept only credit and debit cards. Checkout through Link can show your local currency, in which case the charge can vary with the exchange rate.

What happens to my custom domain if I drop back to Free?+

The domain stays in your account and live sites stay online, but on Free you can no longer republish to it or reconnect it. A Free site also picks up the Bolt badge once the downgrade takes effect and you republish.

Does Bolt charge extra automatically when my tokens run out?+

Bolt publishes no automatic overage charge for tokens. On a paid plan you can buy a reload where eligible or move to a higher level; on Free you can keep editing in Code view, and AI prompts resume when the daily bar refreshes, or on the 1st of the month if the monthly 1M tokens are used up.

Can I delete my account while I am still subscribed?+

No. An account with an active subscription cannot be deleted until the subscription is canceled, and deletion cannot be undone.

The bottom line

Bolt's pricing is fair when you size it honestly and expensive when you guess. The entry price looks small, but tokens drain faster as a project grows, so the level you need depends on your codebase, not on the message estimate. Spend a few weeks on Free, then buy Pro 10M or the next level on monthly billing until your usage settles; switch to yearly once a downgrade is unlikely. Choose Teams for admin controls and design systems, and remember each member's tokens stay their own.
