Bubble (bubble.io) charges per app, not per person, and the price depends on whether your project is web, mobile or both. Bubble's Starter plan (Web) is $32 per month billed annually or $39 per month billed monthly, per app, and it is the lowest price that puts a web app live on its own domain. The Free plan is $0 per app on every tab, but it only builds and tests: no live version, no custom domain, Bubble branding. Native mobile costs more. Starter on the Mobile tab runs $42 per month billed annually or $49 per month billed monthly, per project. Enterprise has no published price.

Usage sits on top. Every plan includes monthly workload units (WU), the meter for your app's server work, plus a separate allowance of AI credits for building with the AI Agent. Past its WU allowance, a paid app keeps running and pays overages (on by default) unless you buy a workload tier; switch overages off and it goes offline at the limit until you re-enable overages, buy a tier or the next billing period starts. Our advice is short. Build on Free, launch on Bubble's Starter plan on the tab you really need, and read a full month of workload data before you commit to a year.

Nine prices across three tabs, each one per project

Bubble sells plans at the project level. A project holds a web app, a native mobile app or both, and one plan covers everything inside it, with one database and one workload pool. Separate projects each need their own plan, so ten projects mean ten plans. You pick a tab first (Web, Mobile or Web & Mobile), then a plan, then a billing term. The pricing page lists these figures, each per project [1]:

About these prices

Prices shown are what Bubble lists for visitors in the United States, in US dollars. Your price can differ by country, currency and local taxes such as VAT.

The annual switch on that page advertises savings of up to 20%. No plan gets there. By our arithmetic, Starter (Web) costs $384 a year billed annually against $468 billed monthly, about 18% less, while Growth (Web) costs $1,428 a year billed annually against $1,608 billed monthly, about 11% less. The Starter (Web) prices are recent: Bubble raised them in October 2026, and existing Starter Web subscriptions and trials move to them at their next renewal.

The tab matters as much as the plan. Compared with Web, the Mobile tab adds $10 per month to Starter on both terms and $50 per month to Growth billed annually ($65 billed monthly), per project. If your web and mobile apps share users and data, keep them together. By our arithmetic, two separate Starter projects (one Web, one Mobile) total $74 per month billed annually, against $59 per month for one Web & Mobile Starter project, and only the single project shares a database and a workload pool. Apple charges $99 a year and Google Play $25 one-time on top.

Measure workload before committing

App metrics in the Logs tab show 30 days of workload by page, workflow and element, so you can size a tier on real usage instead of a guess.

What each plan buys besides the sticker price

Free includes 50K WU and 500 AI credits a month, one app editor, 200 database things and 0.5GB of storage. Bubble's Starter plan raises that to 175K WU and 1,000 AI credits and adds the live app, a custom domain, white label, the Data and Workflow API, plugin subscriptions, CSV import and export and 50GB of storage, but still only one app editor. Bubble's Growth plan brings 250K WU, 2,000 AI credits, two app editors, custom branches and two-factor authentication for app users. Bubble's Team plan carries 500K WU, 4,000 AI credits, five editors, sub apps and scheduled deployments.

Editors are a plan feature, not seats you buy, so a second person editing the app means Growth. Enterprise is a conversation with sales: its card lists custom workload units, a choice of hosting location, SSO and payment by invoice or ACH, and the pricing page lists unlimited AI credits on Enterprise. Every self-serve app is hosted in the US. Students, educational institutions and nonprofits can ask for a discount on any plan, but Bubble publishes no amount.

The two allowances never mix. WU pay for running the app, Development work included, and the web and mobile apps of one project draw on the same pool. AI credits pay for Agent edits, page and image generation and test data, while generating a new app and visual editing use none. Running out of one leaves the other untouched [2]. Neither rolls over: WU reset each calendar month, and included AI credits refresh on the 1st.

When an app outgrows its workload allowance

On Bubble's Starter, Growth and Team plans, overages are switched on by default at $0.30 per 1K WU [1], so a busy app stays online and the extra usage is billed afterward [3]. Bubble emails you at 75% and 100% of the allowance, and overages arrive on a separate invoice at each calendar month's end, even on an annual plan. Turn them off and the app goes offline at its limit until you re-enable overages, add a tier or reach the next billing period. Free and Agency apps get neither option.

Workload tiers suit steady extra demand. Tier 1 adds 200K WU for $26 per month with an annual plan or $29 per month with a monthly plan, per app; Tier 2 adds 750K WU for $89 or $99 per month; Tier 3 adds 2.5M WU for $269 or $299 per month; Tier 4 adds 6M WU for $539 or $599 per month. Inside a tier, further overage drops to between $0.15 and $0.10 per 1K WU. The tier follows the plan's cadence, so the annual tier price needs an annual plan and binds for that plan year.

Here is the break-even. By our arithmetic, 100K extra WU in one month cost $30 at the default overage, and Tier 1 wins once your extra need passes about 87K WU a month on an annual tier, or about 97K WU on a monthly tier. Below that line, plain overage costs less, so occasional spikes do not justify a tier. At scale the gap widens: by our arithmetic, Tier 4's 6M WU would cost $1,800 at the default rate.

The meter counts server work only. Bubble's manual gives starting costs of 0.15 WU per page load, 0.5 WU per thing written and 0.6 WU per server-side workflow action, while showing an element or setting a custom state costs nothing. Editing uses no WU except bulk operations and CSV work. App metrics in the Logs tab break the last 30 days down by page, workflow and element.

⚠️
Watch out
Overages off takes the app offline

On Bubble's Starter, Growth and Team plans, disabling overages stops the app at its workload limit until you re-enable them, add a workload tier or the next billing period starts.

Add-ons outside the plan price

AI credit packs are one-time purchases on paid plans only: 1,000 credits for $10, 2,000 for $20, 5,000 for $50 and 10,000 for $100, or $0.01 per credit at every size by our arithmetic. Purchased credits expire six months after purchase, belong to one app and are final. A Free app that runs dry waits for the 1st or upgrades. Extra file storage costs $3 per 100GB each month on Starter, Growth and Team, and plugin subscriptions follow your plan's billing frequency.

Agencies sit on a different meter. The Agency account costs $78 per month per seat billed annually, or $936 a year per seat by our arithmetic, and each team member needs a seat; Bubble publishes no monthly figure. Bubble's Agency page lists unlimited apps in development with Growth plan features, and Agency apps include 1,000 AI credits a month; nothing on the account can go live. To launch, the project transfers to the client, who buys an app plan. Agency orders cannot be canceled or refunded.

Toolkit tip
Keep shared apps in one project

A web app and a mobile app with the same users and data fit one Web & Mobile project, which shares one database and one workload pool; separate projects each need their own plan.

Annual terms, the trial, refunds and canceling

The only trial is 14 days of Bubble's Starter plan, for new apps, started within 10 days of creating the app. It places a $1 hold on your card, released within 5 to 10 business days, and converts to paid Starter automatically unless you cancel. Changing plan during the trial ends it at once. Growth and Team have no trial, and the trial is not available to users in India.

No refunds apply. Bubble's Terms say subscription charges are non-refundable and a paid month cannot be refunded or credited, converted trials included [4]. An annual plan renews for another year unless you cancel at least 30 days before the anniversary, and canceling early does not end the commitment. If you might stop within the year, the monthly term is safer despite its higher rate. Switching between paid plans is instant and prorated with credit for unused days.

Canceling means choosing Free in the App Plan tab. The paid plan runs to the end of its period, and the live app keeps consuming WU until then, so overages can accrue unless disabled. Afterward the app loses paid features, its custom domain included. See is Bubble free for what Free still allows, and the Bubble buyer's checklist for the gates to check before paying.

Frequently asked questions

Watch out
Annual plans bind for the year

Bubble's plans are non-refundable, and canceling an annual plan early does not end the full-year commitment; it renews unless canceled at least 30 days before the anniversary.

The bottom line

Bubble's price is a per-project decision with a usage meter attached. The tab fixes the base, workload decides whether the bill stays flat, and the annual term trades a saving of roughly 11% to 18% for a commitment you cannot unwind. Start on Free, launch on Bubble's Starter plan on the tab your app needs, measure a month of workload, then choose between overage and a tier. Our Bubble review covers what the platform does well and where it stops.
