Read your audience's active hours, test a few time slots, and keep the ones that win.
For anyone asking: When is the best time to post on social media?
Each one's way of doing it, and the point where it stops.
Best Times shows a color-coded heatmap on the Planner calendar from your audience's activity; click a dark slot to schedule there, or let recurring posts take the best available time. Where it stops: Needs 100 followers and up to 7 days after connecting; Facebook connected after Sep 24, 2024, LinkedIn and YouTube get study-based times.
Optimal Send Times in Compose ranks the top seven send times for the chosen day from each profile's engagement; the Queue with ViralPost publishes queued posts at those times automatically. Where it stops: Profiles with little history get aggregated network and time-zone data; there is no report of when your audience is online.
Recommended times are built from your last 30 days of results and appear as up to three slots a week in the calendar when you turn on recommended times for scheduling. Where it stops: Needs at least three posts with some engagement in 30 days per account; calculated for up to 100 accounts, those with the most followers.
Pick Optimal Times in the Compose box and Sendible schedules at hours learned from your posting history; queues can hold up to three Optimal Times per day. Where it stops: Needs a few weeks of posting data; calculated across all profiles in the account, and queue times do not refresh on their own.
When you schedule a post at a specific time, the editor suggests an hour from your analytics for that account, category and day; a Preset Schedule covers the weeks before data exists. Where it stops: Suggestions appear per post at scheduling time, not as a report of audience hours.
Best Time to Post, switched on from the calendar, ranks your top seven Instagram times from six months of engagement and one TikTok time per day; saved times become Quick Schedule slots. Where it stops: Not for LinkedIn; TikTok needs a Business account and Instagram a Business or Creator profile connected to a Facebook Page.
The composer suggests recommended posting times for a chosen day, based on general engagement data from active accounts, which gives a reasonable first schedule. Where it stops: Not based on your own audience; Insights has no best-time report.
