Brevo's pricing looks simple from a distance, $9, $18 and $499 a month, and becomes a calculation up close. The price is a base fee, plus an email-credit tier, plus add-ons, and the email tier also sets how many contacts you may store. This page lays out every part of it from the vendor's own published catalogue, read on 9 October 2026, and turns it into prices for real list sizes.

brevo pricing and brevo price each draw 880 searches a month in the United States, and the old name still draws more: sendinblue pricing 90. The numbers below apply under either name.

The entry prices

From the vendor's public pricing catalogue, in US dollars [3]:

Plan Monthly Yearly total Included at entry
Free $0 $0 300 emails a day, 100,000 contacts
Starter $9 $97 5,000 emails a month, 500 contacts
Standard $18 $194 5,000 emails a month, 500 contacts
Professional $499 about $5,389 150,000 emails a month
Enterprise custom custom custom

Yearly billing takes 10% off. The catalogue is precise about what the yearly figures mean: "Yearly prices are annual totals for annual billing, not monthly equivalents." [3]

The Professional entry price is built from two lines in the catalogue: a $350 base and $149 for the first 150,000 emails. Together they add up to the "From $499" shown on the pricing page.

Price your contact count into the tier before your sending volume.

## Where the prices come from

The pricing page is a calculator, and its rendered text shows no figures. The prices live in a public pricing API that the vendor documents, and in a Markdown rendering of it that the vendor describes as a "Machine-readable pricing reference generated from the Brevo pricing API" [3].

That Markdown lists seventeen currencies, every credit tier and every add-on, and was generated on 29 September 2026 according to its own header. It is the most complete public price list we have found in this category. You can price a three-year plan before creating an account.

One oddity is worth knowing. The Enterprise plan shows "Custom price" on the pricing page, while the same API returns a monthly price of $1,000 for it [4]. Treat that as a floor the API happens to expose, not as a quote.

Prices differ by currency rather than simply converting. In Argentine pesos, for example, the catalogue lists only Free, Professional and Enterprise, with no Starter or Standard plan at all [3].

Email credits: the main price lever

Above the entry tier, you buy more emails per month. Monthly prices added to the base, in dollars [3]:

Emails a month Starter adds Starter total Standard adds Standard total
5,000 $0 $9 $0 $18
10,000 $8 $17 $17 $35
15,000 $16 $25 $31 $49
20,000 $23 $32 $51 $69
50,000 $47 $56 $79 $97
100,000 $73 $82 $121 $139
150,000 n/a n/a $161 $179
500,000 n/a n/a $411 $429

Starter tops out at 100,000 emails a month and Standard at 500,000.

Emails are a monthly allowance. "Any unused emails expire and won't carry over to the next month." [7] The same credits cover marketing and transactional sends.

## The contact cap inside every tier

Each email tier also caps the contacts you may store [5]:

Monthly emails Contacts stored, Starter and Standard
5,000 up to 500
10,000 up to 1,500
15,000 up to 2,500
20,000 and above up to 500,000

This is the part of Brevo pricing that surprises people. The free plan stores up to 100,000 contacts. The $9 Starter tier stores 500.

So the price of moving to a paid plan depends on how many contacts you already have, not on how many emails you send:

If you have 3,000 contacts and send one newsletter a month, you still pay for 20,000 emails.

Automatic upgrades

On the first three tiers, Brevo raises your plan when you cross the contact cap. "If you reach or exceed that limit, we will automatically upgrade your plan to the next tier." [8] Warnings arrive as you approach it.

The terms limit how far this goes: "There is no more automatic upgrade once your Subscription has reached 20,000 emails." [14]

Adding emails yourself is charged at once and pro rata: "When adding emails to your plan, you are charged immediately, with a pro-rated charge from the date of your purchase to your next billing date." [7] Removing emails takes effect at the next billing date, and only if your contacts fit the lower tier's cap.

The practical consequence: an account near 500, 1,500 or 2,500 contacts should expect its price to move with its list, even if its sending does not change.

⚠️
Watch out

Crossing 500, 1,500 or 2,500 contacts upgrades the plan automatically.

## Add-ons that change the bill

The catalogue lists the add-ons and their prices [3]. The ones most buyers meet:

The add-ons help article covers the full list [21]. For a small team, the two that matter are logo removal and seats: together they often decide between Starter and Standard.

Starter or Standard

Starter gives you sending without a daily cap, back-in-stock alerts and web push, for one user [5]. Standard adds the features most businesses consider core: multi-step automation for unlimited contacts, A/B testing, AI send-time optimisation, advanced reports, a landing page, logo removal and up to three seats.

The price gap is $9 at the entry tier and grows with volume: $37 at 20,000 emails, $57 at 100,000.

Two rules of thumb. If you need automation for more than the free plan's 2,000 contacts, or more than one person in the account, choose Standard. And if you would buy the logo removal on Starter, Standard is cheaper anyway at the entry tier.

Starter makes sense for a single person sending newsletters and simple campaigns to a modest list, who does not mind the "Sent with Brevo" footer or will pay to remove it.

⚠️
Watch out

Prepaid credits are lost on a downgrade.

## Professional: the 2.8x step

Professional starts at 150,000 emails and $499 a month, with ten seats, WhatsApp and push channels, contact scoring, AI segmentation, analytics dashboards, ten landing pages and phone support [5].

The step is large. Standard at 150,000 emails costs $179. Professional at the same volume costs $499, 2.8 times more. You pay the difference for seats, channels, data features and support, not for sending.

Professional has stricter exit terms. A yearly Professional plan is cancelled through a support ticket [10], and the terms require written notice of non-renewal at least fifteen days ahead [14].

For most small and mid-sized businesses, Standard with a few add-ons covers the need. Professional earns its price when you need ten or more seats, phone support, or the data features.

Annual billing

Yearly billing takes 10% off the base and credit tiers. Starter is $97 a year, Standard $194.

The trade is commitment. The terms state that subscriptions are "non-cancellable by You prior to the end of your ongoing Subscription", with no refunds "for any prepaid or unused fees" [14]. A yearly plan cannot be paused; pausing is available only on monthly plans on current pricing [11].

Take the yearly plan when your list and sending are stable. For a growing list, monthly billing keeps you able to move between tiers without losing money.

Downgrades and refunds

There is no downgrade button. "To downgrade a paid subscription, you first need to cancel it." [9] When the plan ends, you stay on Free or buy a lower plan.

Prepaid credits are lost in a downgrade: "If you downgrade and still have prepaid credits, you will lose these credits." [9] Use them before you move.

Refunds are not offered for prepaid or unused fees under the terms [14]. And if you hold more contacts than a lower tier allows, you must delete contacts before you can select it [7].

The cheapest exit is therefore planned: reduce contacts, use up prepaid credits, and cancel before the renewal date.

What it costs for real accounts

Four examples, monthly, from the published catalogue [3]:

A newsletter with 1,000 subscribers, weekly. About 4,300 emails a month, but 1,000 contacts require the 10,000-email tier. Starter: $17. With logo removal: $29. Standard: $35.

A small business with 2,500 contacts, two campaigns a month and automations. About 7,000 emails, but 2,500 contacts require the 15,000-email tier, and automation for more than 2,000 contacts needs Standard. Standard: $49.

An online shop with 8,000 contacts sending weekly. About 35,000 emails a month, which falls in the 40,000-email tier. Standard: $89.

A marketing team of 12 sending 150,000 emails. Professional at $499 includes ten seats. Extra seats on Professional come as a pack of five at $156.60 a month in the catalogue, so twelve people cost $655.60.

How it compares on price

At the entry level, Brevo is the cheapest paid plan in our email set at $9, against $12 for both MailerLite Comfort and Constant Contact Lite.

The comparison changes once contacts grow. A 2,500-contact list costs $25 on Brevo Starter or $49 on Standard, against $33 on MailerLite Comfort, which includes automation and logo removal at that price [26]. At the other end the comparison flips. A 50,000-contact list sending one newsletter a month needs the 50,000-email tier on Brevo, $97 on Standard, against $319 for MailerLite Comfort at 50,000 subscribers. Pricing by emails rewards large lists that send rarely; pricing by subscribers rewards small lists that send often.

The rule that falls out of it: count both your contacts and your monthly sends before comparing. A large list that sends rarely favours Brevo. A small list that sends often favours a vendor that prices by contacts and includes a generous sending allowance.

Frequently asked questions

How much is Brevo per month?+

Starter from $9, Standard from $18 and Professional from $499, each rising with monthly email volume. Free is $0 with 300 emails a day.

Does Brevo charge by contacts?+

Not directly. It charges by monthly email volume, but each volume tier caps the contacts you may store, so contacts often decide the tier.

Is Brevo cheaper annually?+

Yes, by 10%: Starter $97 and Standard $194 a year at entry. Yearly plans cannot be cancelled before term or refunded.

## The short version

Brevo publishes every price it charges, in a catalogue built for machines. Starter is $9, Standard $18 and Professional $499 at entry. The email tier you choose also sets your contact cap: 500, 1,500, 2,500, then 500,000. Choose the tier by contacts first and emails second, buy Standard if you would pay for logo removal or need automation, and plan any downgrade before your renewal date, because the way down is a cancellation and prepaid credits do not survive it.
