HeyGen for business mostly means one plan: Business, the only self-serve tier with seats, a shared credit pool, SAML/SSO and SCORM export. HeyGen's pricing page lists Business at $149 a month billed monthly, or $119 a month billed yearly ($1,428 a year), for the first seat, plus $20 per extra seat a month.[1] Credits, not the plan price, decide how much video your team gets, so read the credit rates in our pricing guide before you size a workspace. The verdict is simple. Business suits a team that needs shared brand control, single sign-on and one bill. It is a weak buy for raw volume. The 1,500 monthly credits are shared by everyone, and extra seats add none.

What a Business workspace actually buys

The plan sells collaboration, not volume. Every self-serve plan below it is built for one user, so a team either buys Business or runs separate accounts. Here is how the team-relevant plans line up on HeyGen's pricing page.

Plan Price Users and credits What a team gets
Creator $29 a month billed monthly, or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year) 1 user, 600 credits a month 1080p export, 30-minute videos, brand kits
Pro From $49 a month billed monthly, or $41 a month billed yearly ($488 a year) 1 user, 1,000 credits a month (tiers up to 100,000) 4K export, Proofread, 30-minute videos
Business $149 a month billed monthly, or $119 a month billed yearly ($1,428 a year), first seat; $20 per extra seat a month Seats as needed; 1,500 credits a month shared by the workspace SAML/SSO, SCORM, top-up packs, 60-minute videos, 6 videos processing at once
Enterprise Quote only, annual subscription only Seats by contract SCIM, audit log, sub-workspaces, no video length maximum

The shared pool is the number to plan around. By our arithmetic, 1,500 credits cover about 31 minutes of Avatar V at 48 credits a minute, about 48 minutes of Avatar IV with a video look at 31 credits a minute, or about 250 minutes of Speed translation at 6 credits a minute per language. A five-person workspace billed monthly costs $229 a month ($149 plus four seats at $20), and those five people still share the same 1,500 credits. The pricing page shows no yearly price for extra seats. Ask before you commit.

Separate one-user accounts are not a like-for-like comparison. By our arithmetic, on monthly billing 15 Creator accounts cost $435 a month against $429 for a 15-person Business workspace, but the accounts hold 9,000 credits against the workspace's 1,500. Topping the pool up to 9,000 with packs at $5 per 100 credits would add about $375 a month. Per credit, separate accounts always cost less. The workspace buys what they cannot do: shared drafts, one sign-on, a shared brand, 4K and 60-minute videos. If one person just needs more output, a higher Pro tier is cheaper. Business plan credits cost roughly twice as much each, though its top-up packs cost about what Pro credits do.

💡
Toolkit tip
Size the pool in minutes

Convert 1,500 shared credits into minutes for the engine you will use: about 31 minutes of Avatar V or about 48 minutes of Avatar IV with a video look. Measure a pilot month before adding seats.

Admin, sign-in and brand control

Business adds the controls a marketing or training lead actually asks about. Sign-in runs through self-serve SAML/SSO, with HeyGen guides for Okta and Entra ID. Members join by email, by invite link, or by workspace discovery, which only works for company domains, not Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo. Only Super Admins can buy, invite and remove content, and since July 2026 every Super Admin has equal rights, with no single owner account. The other roles are Creator, for making videos, and Developer, for API and LiveAvatar access.

Brand consistency lives in three parts. The Brand System holds logos, colors, fonts and media; the Brand Glossary sets pronunciation and translation rules for product names; Brand Templates fix layouts. Every paid plan has a Brand Kit; on Business it is shared by the workspace, and HeyGen's agency page says Business supports several Brand Kits, one per client. Drafts take comments and shared editing, so a reviewer can mark up a script before anyone spends credits on a render. Lip sync renders only on submission. Review the script, not the finished video.

Throughput matters once several people submit at once. Business runs six videos at a time, twice the Pro limit, and gets faster processing; extra videos wait as Pending. That buffer helps. HeyGen's help center says its regular queue averages just under 24 hours on weekdays, with Monday mornings the busiest. Business is also the only web plan that can buy more credits, as one-time packs or auto-reload from Settings > Plan & Billing.

Personalized sales video runs on a separate wallet

This is the trap most sales teams hit. HeyGen's sales pages pitch one recorded script turned into hundreds of versions, with dynamic fields for prospect name, company and pain point. The HubSpot app does that inside a workflow: install it from the HubSpot App Marketplace, map contact properties to script variables, and each contact added to a list gets a unique video link written back to the record.[2] Clay works the same way as an enrichment action. Both connect with a HeyGen API key.

That key is the catch. Plan credits cannot pay for HubSpot, Clay, Zapier, Make or n8n; those integrations draw on separately purchased API credits, available on any account.[3] API credits sit in a prepaid wallet and expire 12 months after purchase. Your Business pool of 1,500 credits does nothing for a HubSpot campaign. Budget both. See our HeyGen API guide for how the wallet bills.

⚠️
Watch out
CRM campaigns need API credits

Business plan credits cannot pay for the HubSpot, Clay, Zapier, Make or n8n integrations. Those use separately purchased API credits that expire 12 months after purchase.

HeyGen no longer emails personalized videos itself; it generates them and returns links, and you send through your own CRM or email tool. The sales page says built-in analytics track views and watch time to rank follow-ups. HeyGen's customer story says the agency Videoimagem produced over 50,000 personalized videos for AB InBev from one template and saw up to three times the engagement. Treat that as the vendor's account. It is not a benchmark.

Marketing, ads and internal comms

For marketing teams the day looks different. HeyGen's marketing page says one project exports to 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1 for YouTube, Reels and the Instagram feed. Batch Mode makes many single-scene avatar videos in one run, each with its own script, avatar and voice, which suits a product line or a content calendar. HeyGen's UGC ads page says finished ads upload straight to Meta Ads Manager and TikTok Ads Manager. Its UGC avatar page advises labeling scripted AI testimonials as ads, not customer reviews, and cites the FTC's 2024 rule on fake testimonials.

Localization is where the shared pool drains fastest. Translation bills per minute per target language, so a five-minute video into five languages is about 25 billable minutes. HeyGen's customer story says trivago localized ads across 30 markets and saved three to four months of post-production. Proofread, the script review step for translations, is on Pro, Business and Enterprise. Only spoken audio is translated. On-screen text stays as it was, so plan separate slides or captions for each market.

Internal comms teams use a different feature: the executive's Digital Twin. Business includes five Custom Video Avatar slots (ten in some regions). Each twin needs an on-camera consent clip recorded by the person depicted, reading HeyGen's text and a code. Nobody can record it for the CEO. Uploading a pre-recorded consent video is Enterprise-only. Presentations in PowerPoint, Google Slides or PDF can become avatar-narrated video, and exports are plain MP4 files for an intranet, Slack or Microsoft Teams. Business output can be used commercially, unlike the Free plan, which is personal and non-commercial only.

Toolkit tip
Review scripts, not renders

Lip sync renders only on submission, so put draft comments on the script stage. A rejected render still spends credits.

Where Business ends: agencies and large companies

Agencies run into a hard wall here. Sub-workspaces, the layer for managing separate clients or departments under one parent, are Enterprise-only.[4] Parent-managed sub-workspaces cannot buy their own credits or seats; self-managed ones bill separately. Sub-workspaces cannot see each other, and deleting one permanently deletes its avatars and credits. On Business, an agency gets one shared workspace with a Brand Kit per client. That works until clients need walls between them.

Enterprise also adds SCIM provisioning, team-member MFA, an audit log with CSV export, proofreader seats that use no paid seat, and invoice billing. It is sold annually only, under HeyGen's Master SaaS Agreement. That contract says HeyGen uses customer data only to perform the agreement, with no model training, deletes data within 60 days of termination, and caps liability at 12 months of fees. Renewals run for the same term unless either side gives 30 days' notice.

Below Enterprise, the data terms are weaker. HeyGen's Terms license your content, including for model training; its Trust page says non-Enterprise users can opt out, and face data from custom avatars is used for training only with your separate consent. Read our safety review before uploading client footage. All customer data is stored in the US, on AWS. HeyGen says it is SOC 2 Type II compliant, with the report available on request. It lists no ISO 27001 and offers no HIPAA BAA, so it does not suit patient data.

Live sales agents are a separate purchase

Real-time avatars that talk to prospects live on LiveAvatar, which is not part of any HeyGen plan. It runs at its own address with the same HeyGen sign-in, but has its own plans, credits and avatar slots, and HeyGen avatars do not carry over. LiveAvatar's help pages list Essential at $99 a month, with 20-minute sessions, and its Business plan at $475 a month, with 60-minute sessions and full API access. Putting an agent on a website takes code; there is no copy-paste embed.

A custom LiveAvatar needs at least two minutes of continuous chest-up footage plus its own consent clip, and processing takes about a day. HeyGen's customer story says Copient AI runs more than 2,500 hours of sales training through LiveAvatar. If live role-play is the goal, budget it as a second product. Your Business seats will not cover it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I try HeyGen Business before paying?+

There is no self-serve free trial of a paid plan. The Free plan is the way to test HeyGen, but its output is for personal, non-commercial use only.

What happens to unused Business credits?+

On monthly billing, unused credits roll over one extra billing cycle. On yearly billing, credits arrive monthly and accumulate until the annual renewal; cancelling to Free or pausing wipes the balance.

Does HeyGen Business include a nonprofit or education discount?+

HeyGen publishes no student, education or nonprofit discount. Nonprofit inquiries go to HeyGen's partnership team by email.

Can Business members work from the mobile app?+

HeyGen has iOS and Android apps, but its mobile help says the app cannot switch between workspaces for team (workspace) and Enterprise users, so Business members should plan to work in the browser. Advanced AI Studio edits and LiveAvatar are desktop-only too.

The bottom line

HeyGen Business is a good buy for a team that needs SSO, shared drafts, brand rules and one bill, and a poor one for a team that just needs more video. Its 1,500 credits are shared and seats add none. HubSpot and Clay campaigns bill to a separate API wallet. Agencies needing client walls and anyone needing a no-training contract must go to Enterprise. Size the credit pool against your real minutes first, then decide on seats.
