Softr prices its plans per workspace, not per person. Free costs $0. Basic is $25 per month billed monthly or $19 per month billed annually. Pro, with 50 AI credits a month, is $119 per month billed monthly or $99 per month billed annually. Business is $395 per month billed monthly or $329 per month billed annually, and Enterprise is quoted on request. [1] Each plan price includes a set number of builders, app users and AI credits; the bill grows through extra builders, extra app users, AI credit add-ons and extra custom domains. Our verdict: most small teams with outside clients end up on Pro, because Basic stops at five Team and five Client users and cannot buy more.
Five plans, each billed to one workspace
One subscription attaches to one workspace, and every new workspace starts on Free. Listed prices exclude tax. The yearly price is a single upfront charge for 12 months: $228 a year for Basic, $1,188 a year for Pro and $3,948 a year for Business. The grid shows what each plan includes before any add-on, with the plan's own AI credits. Read it column by column, because the allowances usually decide the plan before the headline price does.
Prices shown are what Softr lists for visitors in the United States, in US dollars. Your price can differ by country, currency and local taxes such as VAT.
| Per workspace | Free | Basic | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Billed monthly, per month (with included AI credits) | $0 (5 credits) | $25 (10 credits) | $119 (50 credits) | $395 (100 credits) | Custom |
| Billed annually, per month (with included AI credits) | $0 (5 credits) | $19 (10 credits) | $99 (50 credits) | $329 (100 credits) | Custom |
| Builders included | Up to 3 | 1 | 2 | 3 | Custom |
| App users included | 5 in total | Team 5 + Client 5 | Team 10 + Client 50 | Team 30 + Client 100 | Custom |
| Records per workspace (Softr Databases) | 5,000 | 50,000 | 500K | 1M | Custom |
| Workflow actions a month | 500 | 2,500 | 10,000 | 25,000 | Custom |
| Custom domains included | None | 1 | 1 | 1 | Custom |
Two rows need a caveat. The record limits apply to Softr Databases only; an app that reads from an external source follows that source's own limits instead. The workflow row is a hard ceiling: once a workspace spends its monthly actions, workflows pause until the count renews or the plan goes up. Every action inside a loop counts once per item, while triggers and flow-control steps such as Wait, Branch and Filter do not count. Free also carries a Softr badge, Basic shows light branding, and branding disappears from Pro up.
When a workspace uses its monthly workflow actions, workflows pause until the limit renews or the plan is upgraded; loop actions count once per item.
Builders, Team users and Client users
Builders work in Softr Studio on apps, databases and workflows; app users log in to what those builders publish. Free allows up to three builders and sells no extra ones. On Basic, an extra builder costs $6 per builder per month billed monthly or $5 per builder per month billed annually. On Pro it costs $12 per builder per month billed monthly or $10 per builder per month billed annually. On Business it costs $24 per builder per month billed monthly or $20 per builder per month billed annually.
App users fall into two groups that never share an allowance. Team users share a business email domain with any builder in the workspace; everyone else is a Client user, and Gmail, Outlook and other free email domains always count as Client. A consultancy whose builders sign in with the company domain will see its own staff as Team users and every customer as a Client user. Free skips the split and gives 5 app users in total. Softr counts unique emails across all published apps, so one person in three apps counts once.
Only Pro and Business can add app users beyond the allowance. On Pro, an extra Team user costs $3 per user per month and an extra Client user $1 per user per month; on Business, the same users cost $5 and $2 per user per month. [2] Softr checks counts once a day, emails the owner when the workspace goes over, and bills the extra users, prorated, after a 7-day grace period. Those charges are billed monthly even on an annual plan. If that payment keeps failing, every user beyond the included allowance is deactivated until payment is resolved.
Basic is the trap. It includes Team 5 + Client 5 and cannot buy a single extra user, so a sixth client login forces an upgrade. By our arithmetic, moving from Basic to Pro adds $94 per month billed monthly or $80 per month billed annually. Pro and Business also stop at a per-plan limit for extra users; past it, new users can still be created but stay deactivated until space frees up or the workspace upgrades. Check both ceilings before you invite a large client list, and ask about Enterprise, whose limits are custom.
Team users share a business email domain with a builder; Gmail and other free domains are always Client users, and the two allowances never pool.
AI credits and custom domains on top
Every plan includes one monthly pool of AI credits shared by all AI features: the AI Co-Builder, the Vibe Coding Block, Ask AI, Database AI Agents, Softr Agents and AI steps inside workflows. Plan credits reset monthly and never roll over. Editing in the visual editor spends none, and neither does Softr's MCP server. A workflow AI step on Softr's built-in models spends AI credits and also counts as a workflow action, so heavy AI automations draw on two allowances at once.
Add-on packs are sold on every plan, Free included, at the same price on both billing terms: +$10 per month for 100 credits, +$20 for 200, +$50 for 500, +$100 for 1,000, +$200 for 2,000 and +$500 for 5,000. By our arithmetic that is $10 per 100 credits a month at every size, or $0.10 per credit, so a bigger pack buys no discount. Add-on credits roll over for one month. At zero, AI features pause with no overage charge until credits renew or an add-on is bought, while the no-code editor keeps working. [3]
Read the plan cards slowly. With a pack selected, a card's monthly figure includes the add-on, so the same dollar amount can show up for several plan, credit and term combinations: $119 per month is Pro billed monthly with 50 credits, Pro billed annually with 250 credits, and Basic billed annually with 1,010 credits. Check all three together. Basic, Pro and Business each include one custom domain, and Free has none. An additional custom domain costs $15 per month billed monthly or $13 per month billed annually, charged when you connect it rather than bought in advance.
Basic includes Team 5 + Client 5 and sells no extra users; one more login past either allowance means moving to Pro.
What the yearly toggle saves
Softr labels yearly billing 2 months off. The real saving differs by plan. By our arithmetic, annual billing saves $72 a year on Basic, $240 a year on Pro and $792 a year on Business. By our arithmetic, twelve months on monthly billing cost $300 for Basic, $1,428 for Pro and $4,740 for Business, so the annual price is 24% lower on Basic and about 16.8% and 16.7% lower on Pro and Business. The label holds for Pro and Business at about two months; Basic saves about 2.9 months.
Not every line follows the toggle. By our arithmetic, extra builders cost $1 per builder per month less on annual for Basic, $2 less for Pro and $4 less for Business, and an extra custom domain costs $2 per month less. Extra app users ignore the term and are billed monthly, and AI add-ons cost the same either way. Annual is one charge paid upfront, refundable only within 30 days of the first payment, so pick it only when you are sure the workspace will keep the plan. Non-profits and education institutions get 50% off, claimed through Softr's form on the pricing page.
Features that decide the plan
Gates matter more than limits. Pro is the first plan without Softr branding, and it adds a custom email sender, advanced permissions, three custom user groups, Email OTP and Google sign-in for app users, custom code and the embed block. App users on Pro can call APIs, comment, export CSV and PDF, edit inline and sign documents. Workflows gain the webhook trigger, Call API and Run code. Live chat support starts here, and ClickUp, monday.com and Supabase connect as data sources from this plan.
Business adds what larger client bases tend to ask for: an installable mobile app (PWA) with push notifications, two-factor authentication for app users, domain-restricted signup, global search, global data restrictions, ten custom user groups and bring-your-own AI key. HubSpot and SQL databases connect from Business as well. By our arithmetic, the step from Pro to Business adds $276 per month billed monthly or $230 per month billed annually. Softr ships no App Store or Google Play apps on any plan, so the PWA is the only mobile route.
Enterprise is quoted, not listed. It is the only route to SSO with SAML or OpenID, SCIM, IP whitelisting, audit logs, access to Softr's SOC 2 report, custom agreements and SLAs, and payment by invoice. Salesforce and Snowflake connect only there. If one of these is a hard requirement, the price conversation starts with sales, and no public figure exists to plan against. Budget the time for that conversation.
Extra app users on Pro and Business are billed monthly even when the plan is billed annually, and AI credit add-ons cost the same on both terms; the yearly saving applies to the plan, extra builders and extra custom domains.
Plan changes, cancellation and refunds
Only the workspace owner manages billing. Switching from monthly to annual happens in Plan and Billing. Upgrades bill extra users immediately, while downgrades wait for the next renewal. Canceling keeps the plan to the end of the paid cycle; after that the workspace returns to Free and paid-only features stop. When the user count drops mid-cycle, nothing is refunded, and unused extra-user packs fall away at the next renewal. Time downgrades around renewals.
Refunds are narrow. Softr refunds in full within 14 days of the first payment on a monthly subscription and within 30 days of the first payment on a yearly one, requested by email to support. The promise covers only that first payment. Tax is added at checkout based on your billing country and whether you buy as a company or an individual. Customers who joined before the August 2024 pricing change kept their older plans, but AI credit add-ons are not sold on those legacy plans. The free trial needs no card and can be extended once by choosing a plan; our guide to whether Softr is free covers it with the Free plan's limits.
Frequently asked questions
Do builders count as Softr app users?+
No. Softr says builders in your workspace can be added as app users without counting toward the app-user limit, and deactivated users are not counted either.
Can I pay for Softr by invoice?+
Only on Enterprise, where Softr accepts payment by invoice (PO, wire transfer or ACH). Basic, Pro and Business are paid by credit card.
Can I add a promo code after subscribing?+
No. Softr's help center says promo codes must be entered at checkout before subscribing and cannot be applied afterwards.
What happens to my data if my Softr agreement ends?+
Under Softr's Terms, content, apps and personal data are deleted after an eight-week grace period, during which you can request your data by email.
The bottom line
Softr's price list is simple at the top and detailed underneath. The plan price covers a whole workspace, so a small team pays one figure for its builders, users and credits; the cost climbs when you add builders, outgrow an app-user allowance, run out of AI credits or need a Business-only feature such as the PWA or app-user 2FA. Count your Team and Client users first, list the gated features you need, then pick the lowest plan that holds both. Our buyer's checklist walks through those checks in order.
