The deal in brief: $29 or $79, paid once
TidyCal sells two lifetime plans on AppSumo: Individual Lifetime at $29 and Agency Lifetime at $79, each paid once, with no renewal and no subscription fee [1]. You buy on AppSumo and activate the plan on your TidyCal account, and AppSumo lists both as refundable up to 60 days. The deal is still cheap, but new buyers in 2026 get less than early buyers did. For a solo host the arithmetic is simple: $29 once covers what Calendly Standard charges for about three months at $10 a seat billed annually. The lifetime plan still carries the 1% Stripe fee and reduced TidyCal branding on every page.
The seller is not a middleman. TidyCal is made by AppSumo and operated by Sumo Group Inc., and AppSumo says it was built as a simpler, more affordable alternative to Calendly, as one of its AppSumo Originals products. Individual Lifetime and Agency Lifetime are sold only on AppSumo, while the Pro subscription is sold only on tidycal.com. Some older lifetime plans were bought directly on tidycal.com and are now legacy. If you want the deal, find the AppSumo product page and buy there directly.
Individual Lifetime: what $29 buys, and what it leaves out
Individual Lifetime is the cheapest paid TidyCal plan [2]. The pricing page shows it against a struck $144 and AppSumo labels the discount 80%, but neither page explains how the list price is set, so treat it as a reference and compare real costs. What matters is the feature list. It adds automatic Zoom, Meet and Teams links, group bookings, the AI booking assistant, custom emails, booking limits, approvals, CSV export, redirects, analytics, API access and 10 calendar connections. The team says its 10-calendar limit has not changed.
Spread over three years, the $29 works out to about 81 cents a month for those features, which is less than one month of YouCanBookMe Individual at $9 billed monthly. The gaps are just as clear. Individual Lifetime has no team seats and no SMS reminders, and buyers since the April 2026 Pro launch get no custom domain. It keeps reduced branding, pays the 1% Stripe fee and does not include priority support. For many solo hosts those gaps are acceptable. For a practice that sells on its own brand, they are not.
Check whether Free already covers you
Free already includes unlimited booking types, paid bookings, packages, recurring bookings and subscriptions. Individual Lifetime is really a purchase of video links, groups, limits, approvals, analytics, the API and 10 calendars, so the question is whether you need any of those today. If Free covers you, wait. Buy when a limit bites.
Individual Lifetime and new Agency licenses read up to 10 calendars, and only reading-enabled calendars count. Pro is unlimited.
Agency Lifetime: $79 for a team of four
Agency Lifetime costs $79 once, shown against a struck $240, as a one-time payment for lifetime access via AppSumo with no recurring fees. It adds everything in Individual plus round robin and collective meetings, a dedicated team booking page and SMS reminders for US and Canadian numbers. It allows unlimited teams, members can join with a free account, and reduced branding stays. Divided across four people over three years, the $79 comes to about 55 cents per person per month, by our arithmetic, against $16 a seat a month for Calendly Teams billed annually. That is a gap of more than $15 per person every month.
The seat count is the fine print. A license bought on or after September 1, 2026 seats 4 members including the owner, which means the owner plus 3 invitees. Pending invitations count toward the limit, and invitations do not expire, so an invite nobody accepted still takes a seat. Clean up old invites. A team of five or more needs Pro, which has unlimited members.
Your purchase date decides your limits
The lifetime deal has changed several times, and the changes follow the purchase date rather than the plan name. AppSumo's deal terms promise lifetime access and all future Lifetime Plan updates, and say that if the plan name changes, the deal maps to the new name. That clause protects buyers against a name change but not against a change in what the plan includes, which is exactly what happened to new Agency licenses in September 2026 when seats, calendars and texts shrank.
| Date | Change |
|---|---|
| 2021 | TidyCal launches |
| Jan 2025 | Team tier: 25 calendars, unlimited members |
| Jul 2025 | Agency plan with round robin, collective, managed types and SMS |
| Apr 2026 | Pro launches; new Individual buyers lose the custom domain |
| Sep 2026 | New Agency licenses capped at 4 members, 10 calendars, 10 SMS |
| Oct 2026 | Lifetime plans pay 1% on Stripe and keep reduced branding |
In January 2025, an AppSumo post launched a second tier for agencies with 25 calendar connections, collective meetings, team pages and round robin, and said members could be invited without limit. The July 2025 Agency plan added Managed booking types and SMS reminders to US attendees. Those limits no longer apply to new buyers.
What changed in 2026
Pro launched in April 2026 as a subscription sold on tidycal.com and became the only plan without branding [3]. Individual Lifetime bought after the launch no longer includes a custom domain, while earlier buyers are grandfathered. Then Agency Lifetime bought on or after September 1, 2026 was capped at 4 members, 10 calendars and 10 SMS segments a month, with no custom domain. Earlier licenses keep unlimited members, 25 calendars, 20 SMS segments and a domain. The date decides everything. A team that bought on August 31, 2026 can still invite unlimited members and connect 25 calendars, while an identical team buying a day later is capped at four people and ten calendars.
The last change reached existing buyers too. AppSumo reviewers in October 2026 complained that early lifetime plans now pay 1% on bookings and lost branding removal, and the team replied on October 12 that some features can no longer be supported on lifetime plans. The Terms were updated on August 24, 2026, and they let TidyCal add or change platform fees at any time. Meanwhile, the deal page still promises all future Lifetime Plan updates, and a May 2022 update said lifetime updates come at no extra cost. Promises and practice differ.
What a lifetime plan really costs
Both lifetime plans pay a 1% platform fee on Stripe payments [4], covering bookings, recurring sessions, subscriptions and storefront sales, and Stripe's own fees come on top. PayPal payments carry no fee, and Pro removes it. Clients pay the fee by default, but lifetime owners can choose to cover it in Settings, Bookings; the setting applies account-wide, and Free users cannot do this. For an early buyer who processes $2,000 a month through Stripe, the fee adds $20 a month to client totals by default, or $240 a year if the host absorbs it, which is more than twice the $99 that Pro costs.
Branding, domains and calendar limits
Both lifetime plans show reduced TidyCal branding, and only Pro removes it; the website footer shows a smaller credit on lifetime plans. Clients still see TidyCal. Custom domains need Pro, or an Agency license bought before September 1, 2026, and Individual licenses bought before the April 2026 Pro launch keep one. New lifetime buyers see an upgrade prompt instead. Plan your URL. Calendars are the other limit to count. Individual Lifetime and new Agency licenses read up to 10 calendars, Agency licenses bought before September 1, 2026 read 25, and Pro is unlimited. Only reading-enabled calendars count, so count those before buying.
Texts, support and the API
New Agency licenses get 10 SMS segments a month to US and Canadian numbers; older ones get 20. A segment is 160 standard characters or 70 with emoji, and when the allowance runs out, texts are skipped while emails still go. Lifetime plans get email support with a typical 8-hour response. Priority support is Pro only. There is no phone line. Lifetime plans include API access, and Zapier works on both. MCP is less clear: the help article says any paid plan can connect an AI assistant, while the MCP docs say Pro is required. Test it first.
Lifetime plans keep the 1% Stripe fee and reduced branding; only Pro removes both.
Lifetime or Pro?
Over three years, Individual Lifetime costs $29 and Pro billed yearly costs $297, by our arithmetic. The $268 difference buys a custom domain, no branding, priority support, unlimited calendars and texts and no platform fee. A host who needs only one of those, such as the domain, is effectively paying for all of them. A team of up to 4 pays $79 once on Agency Lifetime or $99 a year on Pro, so for four people three years of Pro cost $218 more than Agency. Small teams favor lifetime.
The fee break-even
If you absorb the 1% fee, Pro's $99 a year equals the fee on $9,900 of yearly Stripe sales, by our arithmetic. Below that, lifetime plus the fee costs less. Above it, Pro wins. A coach taking $500 a month through Stripe pays $60 a year in absorbed fees, well under Pro, while a practice taking $1,500 a month pays $180, which makes Pro at $99 the cheaper option by $81 a year. Clients pay the fee by default anyway, so the break-even only matters if you choose to absorb it.
Running Pro on top of a lifetime plan
You do not have to choose forever. A lifetime owner can subscribe to Pro and keep the lifetime plan; Pro features apply while it is active, holders of both pay no platform fee while Pro runs, and Agency plus Pro removes all branding. When Pro ends, the account reverts to the lifetime plan underneath, with data preserved. A custom domain stops serving until an eligible plan returns, the fee returns and branding goes back to reduced. Nothing is deleted. Our TidyCal pricing guide covers Pro in full.
Lifetime against Calendly and YouCanBookMe
Calendly Standard costs $360 over three years billed annually, by our arithmetic, against $29 once for Individual Lifetime. Over three years the gap is $331 for one person, and it grows to $2,225 for a team of four on Calendly Teams against $79 once for Agency Lifetime. Price favors TidyCal. Calendly answers with a mobile app, webhooks and routing, while TidyCal adds packages, subscriptions and a storefront. Our TidyCal vs Calendly comparison covers the rest.
YouCanBookMe Individual costs $97.20 a year billed yearly, against the same $29 once for TidyCal Individual Lifetime. YouCanBookMe adds webhooks on its higher plans, and TidyCal adds packages and subscriptions. After one year, TidyCal is $68.20 cheaper, and because the lifetime price never renews, every later year adds to that lead.
Buying, activating and refunding
The deal is only for TidyCal users without an existing paid account, and TidyCal is not part of AppSumo Plus, so a Plus membership does not unlock it. Open the TidyCal product page on AppSumo, choose the Individual or Agency plan and pay once. There are no codes and no stacking, and the license must be activated within 60 days. TidyCal has no affiliate program of its own.
Activation always starts on AppSumo. There is no field in TidyCal for typing a code: licenses match accounts by email and activate instantly. A buyer who signed up with Google using a work address should buy on AppSumo with that same address, or change one of the two emails before activating. If your plan still shows Free, an email mismatch is the likely cause. Fix the email, then refresh the plan page and check Your plan in Settings. Activating a lifetime code does not cancel Pro.
TidyCal applies one lifetime plan per account, so two Individual licenses never make Agency. Upgrade the existing license on AppSumo instead.
Upgrades, downgrades and one license per account
TidyCal applies one lifetime plan per account and does not stack codes, so buying two Individual licenses does not create Agency. Upgrading happens on AppSumo, at a price AppSumo sets, and you upgrade the existing license rather than buying a second code. An upgrade bought today brings today's Agency limits of four seats, ten calendars and ten texts, not the unlimited seats and twenty-five calendars described in the 2025 announcement. AppSumo also allows downgrades between the two tiers within 60 days of purchase. Downgrading removes team features, SMS and round robin.
Refunds, legacy licenses and invoices
AppSumo handles refunds for AppSumo purchases, and there is no refund button inside TidyCal for them. A refunded license returns the account to Free: data stays, paid features stop, and the limit of one calendar applies when you turn reading on again. Sixty days is long enough to run two full months of a real practice through TidyCal. That is far more testing time than the seven days Pro buyers get before refunds stop.
Legacy licenses bought directly on tidycal.com work differently. They have a 60-day self-service refund, their owners see an upgrade button for $50, and they can downgrade from Agency to Individual for a $50 partial refund within 60 days; Stripe emails their receipts. For AppSumo purchases, AppSumo issues the invoice, so download it at purchase. Accountants will ask.
What buyers say about the deal
AppSumo shows a large volume of ratings that lean heavily toward five tacos, but AppSumo owns TidyCal, so we do not count that figure in our sentiment score. A seller's rating on its own storefront is the least independent signal there is, so weigh the other platforms first. Trustpilot paints a far less rosy picture, which is why we report both.
The recent complaints cluster on changes. An October 13, 2026 reviewer with an early plan complained about the new 1% charge on client bookings, an October 6 reviewer said branding removal had changed, and another lost features after upgrading until support fixed it. The team replied on October 12, 2026 that a few features can no longer be supported on lifetime plans, including complete branding removal. It confirmed the Individual calendar limit of 10 has not changed.
Who should buy, and who should skip
Buy Individual Lifetime if you are a solo host who needs automatic video links, group sessions, booking limits, approvals or more than one calendar, and a 1% fee on Stripe is acceptable. Buy Agency Lifetime for a team of up to 4 people that needs round robin, collective meetings and a team page, especially if a few texts a month to US or Canadian clients help. Skip the deal if clients must not see TidyCal branding, if you need a custom domain or no platform fee, or if you dislike terms that can change. Pro answers all three for $99 a year.
The practical risk is not that TidyCal disappears but that terms keep moving, as the 2026 changes to domains, seats, texts, branding and fees showed. The price is low. So is the guarantee. The safe way to judge the deal is to price today's features against today's alternatives, then protect the purchase with a short checklist:
- Confirm your account has no paid plan.
- Use the same email on AppSumo and TidyCal.
- Count calendars and team members.
- Decide whether clients will accept the 1% fee.
- Check whether you need a custom domain.
- Use the 60-day refund window to test everything you need.
- Screenshot the plan card and deal terms, save the AppSumo invoice and note your purchase date, since limits follow it.
Licenses are matched by email. A different address on AppSumo and TidyCal is the likely reason a plan still shows Free.
Frequently asked questions
Is the TidyCal lifetime deal worth it?+
For a solo host who needs video links, group sessions and up to 10 calendars, $29 once is hard to beat. Value it for today's features, since terms changed in 2026.
Can I get a refund on the TidyCal lifetime deal?+
AppSumo lists both lifetime plans as refundable up to 60 days, and refunds go through AppSumo. A refunded license returns the account to Free.
How many team members does Agency Lifetime include?+
A license bought on or after September 1, 2026 seats 4 members including the owner, and pending invitations count toward the limit. Earlier licenses keep unlimited members.
Do lifetime plans pay the 1% platform fee?+
Yes. Both lifetime plans pay 1% on Stripe payments, which owners can choose to absorb. PayPal payments carry no fee, and Pro removes it.
Why does my TidyCal plan still show Free after buying?+
Licenses are matched by email, so a mismatch between AppSumo and TidyCal is the likely cause. Fix the email, then refresh the plan page.
Is there a TidyCal coupon code for the deal?+
No. The AppSumo deal uses no codes; TidyCal's own coupons are for hosts to discount their clients' bookings.
Our verdict on the lifetime deal
The TidyCal lifetime deal remains one of the cheapest ways to run a paid booking business [2], but it is no longer the near-everything deal early buyers got. Buy it for what it does today, and add Pro when branding or the fee starts to matter. For a solo coach, tutor or consultant who needs video links, group sessions and more than one calendar, $29 once remains the cheapest route we found. Teams of five or more and anyone who needs a custom domain should go straight to Pro.
