For most marketing teams, Riverside earns its place on the Grow plan, at $45 a month billed monthly or $34 a month billed annually. Grow is where social scheduling, cross-posting, video embeds, newsletters and live streaming switch on. Webinars with registration and the HubSpot sync need the Webinar plan, at $99 a month or $79 a month billed annually, capped at 100 registrants. Salesforce, Marketo, lead capture on embeds and webinars up to 10,000 registrants are Business only, on a custom quote. Pro is one user, and every extra collaborator below Business costs an add-on seat. Our verdict: strong for a team that turns interviews and webinars into clips, weaker as a demand-gen platform below Business.

Picking the plan your team will actually use

Plans are priced per account, not per person. Pro is for one person, and sharing a login is not allowed. Collaborators on Pro, Grow and Webinar need the Editor seat add-on at $19 a month or $168 a year, one editor per seat, and it cannot be added during a trial. Business adds editors at no extra cost. Here is how the tiers line up for marketing work, with the period on every price.[1]

Plan Price What a marketing team gets
Free $0 720p with a watermark, one-off 2 hours of separate tracks, 1 AI clip
Pro $35 a month, or $24 a month billed annually 1 user, 4K, no watermark, branding (logos, colors, fonts), caption presets, direct publishing, 15 h of separate tracks a month
Grow $45 a month, or $34 a month billed annually Social scheduling and analytics, embeds, newsletters, live streaming, 20 h a month
Webinar $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually Webinars with registration (100 registrants), CRM sync, branded lobby, 25 h a month
Business Custom quote, no trial Salesforce, Marketo, embed lead capture, 10,000 registrants, roles

A three-person team that runs webinars pays the $948 yearly base plus two seats at $168 a year, which comes to $1,284 a year by our arithmetic. The same team without webinars pays $744 a year. The webinar step costs $540 a year on annual billing, or $54 a month on monthly billing. That gap buys registration pages, polls, Q&A and the CRM sync, so it pays back only if webinars feed your pipeline.

The break-even depends on what you buy. On the Grow and Webinar base plans, nine months billed monthly still costs less than one year billed annually ($405 against $408, and $891 against $948), and the tenth month tips it over. On Pro, and for editor seats, annual billing already wins at nine months ($315 against $288, and $171 against $168), so a Grow team with two seats pays $747 monthly against $744 annually by then, by our arithmetic. Refunds are narrow: the published refund policy covers Pro and Grow, with a full refund on request within 24 hours of a monthly purchase or 14 days of a yearly one. It does not mention the Webinar plan, other fees are non-refundable, and the Riverside pricing breakdown covers the rest.

Watch out
The registrant cap bites at join time

The Webinar plan lets more than 100 people register, but extra registrants hit an event-is-full screen when they try to join.

Webinars as a lead source: what syncs, and where

The Webinar plan is the first tier with webinars: registration pages, Q&A, polls, post-event surveys, recurring sessions and webinar series. The form always asks for first name, last name and email, plus custom fields such as phone, country or a checkbox. Blocking email domains, requiring a company address and editing the consent notice are Business only.

The 100-registrant cap behaves oddly. Registration is not blocked above it. The host just sees a warning. The limit bites at join time, when extra registrants hit an event-is-full screen. That is the worst moment to discover it, so watch the count and move up to Business before a big launch. You can preload an audience by uploading a CSV of up to 5,000 rows for an upcoming live webinar, and the columns match a Zoom export.

HubSpot works with the Webinar and Business plans and every HubSpot plan, connected once for the whole account.[2] Registration and attendance data syncs every 15 to 30 minutes before the event, then once more after it ends. Only one HubSpot account can be connected, and it builds a single static list by registrant status. Each new webinar overwrites the custom contact properties written by earlier ones. Survey answers never reach the CRM. They export as CSV.

Salesforce and Marketo sit on Business, and only the account owner or admins connect them. Salesforce follows the same rhythm as HubSpot. Each webinar becomes a Salesforce Campaign and each registrant a Lead, linked without duplicates. Marketo matches leads on email only and does not create programs or custom fields for you. Business also adds webinar webhooks for six events, from registration to no-shows, for live webinars only.

On-demand replays extend the funnel. The Webinar plan can publish five on-demand webinars, with no cap on their registrants or viewers, and you can track and export those registrants. Riverside sends no confirmation or reminder emails for them, though, and embedding one on your own site with a script needs Business. Our Riverside webinars guide covers setup step by step.

From one recording to a week of social posts

On Pro and up, Riverside generates a default bundle after each recording: a Magic Episode, Magic Clips, hooks, show notes and, on Grow and up, a draft newsletter. You can switch each one off per asset. Magic Clips need more than 3 minutes of transcribed content and typically yield about 2 clips per 5 minutes, each 30 to 90 seconds long. Riverside still calls the feature experimental. Every recording gets one automatic set; Pro, Grow and Webinar can generate 2 more, Business 4 more.

Clip defaults are saved per studio and cover aspect ratio, layout, duration, brand, pause removal, filler words and audio cleanup. Co-Creator, the built-in AI agent, uses the same defaults when you ask it for clips. Saved caption presets need Pro or higher, and a preset can become the default for every clip. Defaults beat fixing forty clips by hand.

Scheduling and cross-posting start at Grow.[3] Cross-posting is on by default, each platform gets its own post, and a platform missing a required field, such as a caption, is outlined red until you fill it in. LinkedIn and Facebook posts allow one video or image each. The catch is authentication. If someone logs out of LinkedIn, Facebook or YouTube, the scheduled posts for that account are removed and never published.

Social analytics, also Grow and up, report views, likes, comments and shares on published posts. Views are missing for X and LinkedIn, and shares for YouTube, because those platforms do not expose them. Numbers appear only for posts published after you re-authenticate the accounts.

💡
Toolkit tip
Set clip defaults before launch

Save aspect ratio, layout, brand and a caption preset per studio so every Magic Clip comes out on-brand.

Owned channels: embeds, newsletters and live streams

Embeds start at Grow and carry no limit on simultaneous or total viewers. The embed code never changes when you replace the video, and deleting the original recording does not break it. Embed analytics show visits, plays, play rate, average playtime, engagement, top country and a retention curve. Domain restrictions apply account-wide; they block playback on unapproved sites but do not stop anyone from copying the code.

Lead capture on an embedded video is Business only.[4] The form appears when a viewer presses play; email is required. Name is optional. Leads export as CSV with completion rate and last-viewed date. Below Business, embeds build awareness, not lists.

Newsletters, also on Grow and up, can be written from scratch or generated from a recording. Paid plans cap subscribers at 10,000 (100 on a trial), counting imported, manual and API subscribers, and an import that would exceed the cap fails as a whole. One send reaches up to 50,000 active subscribers. Emails go from a no-reply address on your Riverside subdomain, so readers cannot reply, and the Riverside website hosting them is not indexed by search engines. Treat it as a companion to your email platform, not a replacement.

Live streaming starts at Grow, to unlimited destinations at up to 1080p, for 8 hours per stream at most, with a delay of roughly 20 to 30 seconds. LinkedIn takes one destination and needs a scheduled event.

Team roles, review and brand control

The brand kit runs on Pro and higher and holds logos, colors, text styles, captions, media, intros and outros. Only Business can lock it, so editors apply the brand but cannot change it. Review links need no account for the reviewer, which suits agency clients and legal sign-off. Password protection and expiry dates on those links are Business only.

Roles are also a Business feature: owner, admin, director and editor, with directors limited to their assigned productions. On Grow and Webinar, account members can join a session as internal producers, running it without being recorded. Inviting an outside producer needs Business. Separate-track downloads are capped at 15, 20 or 25 hours a month on Pro, Grow and Webinar, with no rollover, and live streams count.

⚠️
Watch out
Logouts cancel scheduled posts

If a team member logs out of LinkedIn, Facebook or YouTube, Riverside removes that account's scheduled posts and never publishes them.

What the customer stories do and do not prove

Riverside says Chili Piper produces about three customer case studies a month with it. Intuit, it says, uses Riverside for customer interviews, virtual event clips and internal leadership Q&As across more than 14,000 employees. Riverside also reports that Spotify drew three times more viewers to a webinar. These are vendor case studies, not independent results. What they do show is the pattern Riverside fits best: recorded conversations with customers and experts, cut into many short assets.

Frequently asked questions

Can people watch a Riverside session without registering?+

Yes. The audience link, on every plan, lets up to 100 people watch inside Riverside with no registration, but it is a separate session type from webinars and records no registrant data.

Does Riverside train its AI on our customer interviews?+

Its Privacy Policy (June 2026) and Terms (October 2026) allow Riverside to use recordings, transcripts and AI prompts to train its own models. Only Business customers can opt out, by written agreement.

Is there a free trial for marketing teams?+

Pro, Grow and Webinar have a 14-day trial that needs a card and charges the full price on day 15 unless you cancel. Business has no trial, and editor seats cannot be added during a trial.

Can we import a registrant list from another webinar tool?+

Yes, for upcoming live webinars: one CSV at a time with up to 5,000 rows, and the columns match a Zoom export.

The bottom line

Riverside is a content engine first and a webinar platform second. Grow covers the clip, schedule, embed and newsletter loop, with paid editor seats for every collaborator. Webinar adds registration and HubSpot for teams that stay under 100 registrants. Anything that pushes leads into Salesforce, Marketo or a gated embed means Business. Price the seats, check the registrant cap against your biggest event, and pick monthly billing for programs under nine months, or under ten on a Grow or Webinar plan without seats.
