What SE Ranking costs, in one table

SE Ranking publishes all its self-serve prices in US dollars on one page, add-ons included. This guide lists every price as of October 12, 2026, read from the US, together with the help center's rules on keywords, seats, refunds and cancellation. Annual totals and comparisons are our arithmetic, and the yearly figures below are twelve times the annual monthly rate [1]:

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing, per month Charged per year
Core US$129 US$103.20 US$1,238.40
Growth US$279 US$223.20 US$2,678.40
Enterprise Not published Not published Custom

Monthly or annual

The page has a monthly and an annual toggle, with annual labeled as a 20% saving. Monthly billing has no commitment and can be canceled at any time. Annual billing is cheaper, but it locks the money in, because payments are not refunded. On Core, twelve monthly payments come to US$1,548, against US$1,238.40 on the annual plan, a saving of US$309.60. On Growth, monthly billing costs US$3,348 a year against US$2,678.40 annually, a saving of US$669.60. The discount is exactly 20% on both plans, while rivals' annual savings are a little lower.

There is one condition. Annual plans are billed upfront, in a single payment, to get the discounted rate. If that is a problem for your cash flow, sales can discuss options such as a quarterly payment schedule with an annual commitment. That is not offered at checkout, so ask before buying rather than after. Sales can say no. For a team new to SE Ranking, the safer path is to start monthly for a month or two, see whether the limits hold, and only then switch to the annual plan.

Toolkit tip
Multiply phrases by engines and locations

Price keywords as phrases × engines × locations. 500 phrases on desktop and mobile in two cities already fill Core's 2,000 slots.

Core and Growth: which plan fits

Core, at US$129 a month

Core includes 10 projects, one manager seat, 2,000 keywords and 100 AI prompts tracked daily, 5 domains in AI research, 250,000 audit pages a month and 25,000 API credits with MCP access. Research reports are unlimited. That is enough for a freelancer with up to ten client sites, or an in-house team with one main site and a few competitors. Its pinch points are one seat, six months of history in research, and 50 on-page checks. Seats are the first limit most teams hit: a freelancer with a part-time assistant, or a marketer who shares the account with a developer for audits, is already two people on a plan built for one. Add a seat or move to Growth.

Growth, at US$279 a month

Growth includes 30 projects, three manager seats, 5,000 keywords and 250 AI prompts tracked daily, 15 AI research domains, 2 million audit pages a month and 100,000 API credits. It adds lifetime historical data, guest links, page changes monitoring, 1,000 on-page checks and dedicated customer support. Growth costs 2.16 times Core. For that, it gives 2.5 times the keywords, three times the projects, three seats instead of one, and history that never expires. A team that would otherwise buy two extra seats and 1,000 extra keywords on Core should price Growth before it buys a single add-on, because it may get more for less.

Enterprise, with no published price

Enterprise is listed with custom limits and pricing, flexible terms, full API access and advanced integrations. The help center gives it up to five user seats by default and sells extra keywords to it in steps of 5,000. The price comes only from sales. Get the limits, the term and the renewal price in writing before you sign, because there is nothing on the public page to hold the vendor to later.

Seats and keywords: where the bill grows

Extra seats, at US$16 or US$20

The pricing page shows extra manager seats from US$16 on both plans, while the Users FAQ says extra user seats cost US$20 a month per user. Neither page explains the gap; the likeliest reading is annual versus monthly billing. Seats renew automatically, and blocked users lose access when the seat subscription expires. Either figure is modest. What makes seats matter is how many you need, and on Core that number starts at one.

How a keyword is counted

Extra keywords start at US$22.40 on Core and US$32 on Growth. The help center sells them in steps of 100 on Core, 500 on Growth and 5,000 on Enterprise. They activate instantly, apply to the whole account and follow their own billing cycle, with a minimum commitment of one cycle. The real question is how many you need. Under the current plans, "a keyword counts once for every search engine it is tracked in" [2]. Each additional region or location, and each project the keyword sits in, counts separately too. A search engine here means a combination of engine, country, region and interface language.

A plumbing company in three cities

Take a plumbing company that tracks 500 keywords on Google desktop and Google mobile in two cities. That is 500 × 2 × 2, or 2,000 counted keywords, all of Core's limit. A third city would push it to 3,000 and require either Growth or about ten 100-keyword packs on Core. At the entry price of US$22.40 per pack, ten packs would add at least US$224 a month to a US$129 plan. That is why Growth at US$279, with 5,000 slots, three seats and lifetime history, becomes the cheaper answer as soon as a business tracks more than two or three locations. This is the catch. Count combinations, not phrases.

Two more rules keep the count higher than you expect. Inactive projects still count toward your account limits, so deactivating a project does not free space; only deleting keywords or the project does. Deleted projects can be restored for 30 days. Deleting keywords also does not reset the daily limit on adding new ones, so clearing a list and rebuilding it on the same day can run into a wall.

⚠️
Watch out
Inactive projects still count

Deactivating a project does not free keyword space; only deleting keywords or the project does.

The Agency Pack, and why it forces annual billing

The Agency Pack is the add-on agencies buy for white label and client features. It comes in three sizes, billed annually only:

Agency Pack size Price per month Charged per year
30 projects US$69 US$828
50 projects US$99 US$1,188
100 projects US$129 US$1,548

The pack works only with annual Core, Growth or Enterprise plans, and it is billed annually together with the main subscription. Trial accounts get it free during the trial. So an agency on monthly Growth cannot buy white label at all; it has to commit to a year first. That turns the monthly-first advice on its head for agencies. If white label is the reason you are buying, use the trial to test the pack properly, because the next step is a year of the plan and a year of the pack paid upfront. Our SE Ranking for agencies guide covers the agency setup itself.

AI Search and API credits

AI Search packages and checks

The plans already track some AI prompts. The AI Search add-on extends those limits, and it comes in three packages:

AI Search package Month-to-month Billed annually, per month
200 checks US$89 US$71.20
450 checks US$179 US$143.20
1,000 checks US$345 US$276

The pricing page labels the same packages as prompts rather than checks, but the help center defines the unit as one prompt on one AI platform. That difference matters. Twenty prompts on three engines use 60 checks per refresh, not 20. When checks run out, you cannot add prompts until the limit renews or you upgrade, and prompts in paused projects still count against the prompt list. Size the package by multiplying prompts by engines, the same way you multiply keywords by engines and locations.

The API add-on, the standalone API and the Wallet

The API add-on costs US$45, US$149 or US$555 a month for the pricing page's 3M, 12M or 60M credits, annual billing only. The API pricing page, however, describes the US$45 add-on as 250K credits a year [3]. Two official pages disagree on what the cheapest add-on buys, and the difference decides whether the add-on or the Wallet is the cheaper way to run a few large exports. Confirm the credit count in writing before paying a year upfront.

The standalone API costs from US$179 a month, annual billing only, and needs no platform subscription. A pay-as-you-go Wallet costs US$50 for 250,000 credits. Purchased credits never expire, while credits in annual plans expire at the end of the cycle. Wallet suits one-off projects. Plans suit steady use. The credits already inside each plan are another muddle: the help center gives Core 25,000 a month and Growth and Enterprise 100,000, the position tracking page says Core includes 100,000, and product pages give Growth 300k. The pricing page, which we treat as authoritative, says 25K and 100K. Our SE Ranking API guide goes deeper on the API itself.

Get credit counts in writing

Two official pages disagree on what the US$45 API add-on buys. Confirm add-on credit counts in writing before paying a year upfront.

The smaller extras on the page

Each plan includes 25 or 50 articles in Content Marketing, with extra articles from US$39.20, and three Local Marketing locations, with extra locations from US$18.40. Those are the entry prices shown; larger packages are priced at checkout. SE Ranking now owns Planable, a social media management platform covering nine social platforms, including YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn. Planable starts at US$33 a month, with 20% off when bundled with SE Ranking, and the bundle is sold through sales. It only matters if your team also schedules social posts.

Some tools are paid from an account balance rather than the plan: Keyword Grouper, Search Engine Autosuggest, Search Volume Checker and Parameter Checker. Money on that balance is meant only for these extra tools and cannot pay for a subscription. The balance is topped up through Stripe from the Billing page, and every charge appears under Balance transactions. The help center publishes the rule but not a price list for these tools, so content teams that cluster several thousand keywords a month should run one grouping job during the trial and note what it consumed.

Beyond the 20% annual discount and the Planable bundle, the pricing page lists no standing discounts. There is a coupon field at checkout, but affiliates may only promote coupons generated by SE Ranking itself, so treat codes from coupon-aggregator sites with care. One perk is real: annual subscriptions come with free migration. Assisted migration covers Semrush, Ahrefs, AgencyAnalytics, AccuRanker and Serpstat, with project, keyword and ranking-history imports. On monthly plans, migration is self-serve, with support for problems.

The trial: free, but not complete

The trial runs 14 days and needs no credit card. It does not renew into a paid subscription, you are not charged when it ends, and it expires automatically [4]. That makes it the safest trial among the big SEO suites. It is also generous: 10 projects, 3 manager seats, 750 keywords tracked daily, 20 AI prompts, 10 research reports a day, three months of history, 10,000 audit pages and 100,000 API credits, with the Agency Pack and AI Search included. That is enough to rebuild a real client project and see the counted keywords for yourself.

What it leaves out matters just as much. Keyword database expansion, MCP access, additional client seats and extra limit purchases are not available on the trial, and one Trustpilot reviewer complained that half the tool said upgrade during the trial. If MCP is your reason for buying, the trial will not show it. Plan the trial around the things you can test: your real keyword list, engines and locations, the reports your clients see, and the AI checks you would actually run.

Refunds, downgrades and canceling

The refund policy leaves little room: "Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where the service wasn’t delivered as promised (or where a special promotion specifies otherwise)." [1] The Terms allow a refund for poor service within 14 bank days, and extra keywords get no partial refunds. Treat every payment as final. Downgrades do not change that. You can switch plans at any time and the system calculates the difference, but when you move to a cheaper plan the unused balance is credited to your Stripe account for future SE Ranking purchases. It is not paid back.

Add-ons bought separately are canceled one by one in Billing, while add-ons bundled with the main plan cancel with it. On annual plans, Content Marketing, extra keywords and the AI add-on cannot be canceled manually and need a support request, so ask support in writing well before the renewal date. After canceling, access lasts until the end of the paid period. Projects then stay stored for 60 days, inactive, and after that the data in the account is deleted. Export rankings and reports before the 60 days run out if you may need them.

⚠️
Watch out
Downgrades give credit, not cash

Payments are not refunded, and moving to a cheaper plan only credits the unused balance to your Stripe account for future purchases.

Payments, taxes and currencies

Billing now runs through Stripe. PayPal is not available there. Customers who paid by PayPal through 2Checkout must switch to cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link or bank transfer. Bank transfers need extra verification and take several days, so start at least two weeks before renewal. Stripe bills in four currencies: USD, EUR, GBP and JPY. Customers who used to pay in another local currency are converted into one of these, and prices on the page are in US dollars when read from the US. To avoid VAT, pay as a company and enter a VAT ID at checkout.

What a real bill looks like

Three setups show how the list price turns into a yearly bill. A freelancer on monthly Core pays US$129 a month, or US$1,548 a year. An agency on annual Growth with the 30-project Agency Pack pays US$2,678.40 plus US$828, or US$3,506.40 a year. An in-house team on annual Core with the entry AI Search package pays US$1,238.40 plus US$854.40, or US$2,092.80 a year. Against the two best-known rivals, the entry plans compare like this, with yearly totals by our arithmetic from the three pricing pages:

Entry plan, October 2026 Monthly Billed annually, per year Rank tracking Trial
SE Ranking Core US$129 US$1,238.40 2,000 keywords, daily 14 days, no card
Ahrefs Lite US$129 US$1,290 750 keywords, weekly None
Semrush SEO US$139 US$1,407.96 Daily Free plan

The pattern is clear. Core matches Ahrefs Lite on the monthly price but tracks more keywords, daily rather than weekly, and it undercuts Semrush on both billing options. The trials differ too: Ahrefs offers none, and Semrush answers with a free plan instead of a trial. For the full picture beyond price, read our SE Ranking review.

The bottom line on price

SE Ranking's list prices are the lowest of the three major suites for comparable limits, and the page shows nearly every price, add-ons included. The real cost rises with locations, seats, AI checks and agency features, and nothing is refunded. Price your actual setup during the trial, counting keywords by engine and location and prompts by AI platform. Then decide between monthly and annual, and read the add-on menus again before you pay.
