The short answer: no app, and why that matters less than you think
There is no YouCanBookMe app for iPhone or Android [1]. The help center says YouCanBookMe does not require a separate mobile app, and the vendor's answer is responsive booking pages plus shortcuts. We found no app store listing on any YouCanBookMe page we read. Booking pages are built to work on phones, you can save them to a home screen like an app, and hosts manage bookings through their calendar, email and a mobile browser. A free Chrome extension covers the desktop.
Bookers never need an app. They open a link. Hosts, meanwhile, already carry the two apps YouCanBookMe writes into: the calendar and the email inbox. Every new booking arrives as a calendar event with the details filled in, so much of the daily work happens there. For a host, the most useful mobile tool is often the phone's own calendar app, because each event already holds the booker's answers, the video link and the cancel and reschedule links. The gap only appears when you want to manage the diary yourself away from a desk.
Log in once in your phone's browser, then save your Bookings page to the home screen for one-tap access to reschedules and cancellations.
What your bookers get on a phone
A page built for small screens
YouCanBookMe says over 70% of its bookings happen on mobile [2]. Bookers tap your link, pick a time, answer the form and pay if needed, with no account or download required, and the confirmation lands in their inbox. Booking pages adapt to the screen and follow the device's dark or light mode by default. Day and agenda views suit small screens, since agenda view lists only open times across several days. Booking pages conformed to WCAG 2.2 AA in March 2026, on the new experience, and color themes meet AA contrast. That helps bookers who use screen readers or larger text on their phones.
For repeat clients, the help center suggests adding your booking link to their home screen, where the shortcut opens the page like an app. The browser's add to home screen option does it. For tutoring students or coaching clients who book every week, that shortcut does most of what an app would do. One tap opens your page, and they never have to search for the link again.
Paying on a phone
Bookers pay at booking by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Payment must clear before the booking is confirmed, and a failed payment leaves the slot open. That protects your calendar, since a client who abandons checkout never blocks the slot, but it also means a slow or confusing payment step costs you bookings. Wallet payments make phone checkout fast. Turn them on. Google Pay is enabled automatically, while Apple Pay must be switched on in Stripe settings. On embedded pages, Safari 16 or earlier does not show Apple Pay, so open your embedded page in Safari on an iPhone before launch and check that the button is there.
Set your mobile number in Account settings and add an SMS notification, so new bookings and cancellations buzz your phone like an app would.
Managing bookings as a host, from a browser
Hosts can save their own Bookings page to the home screen too. From there you can view, reschedule, cancel or rebook in the mobile browser, with filters and search by name, email or reference, and Details shows a booker's answers and sent notifications. It is a web page, not an app, so you need a connection. The shortcut works best when you are already signed in. Log in once in your phone's browser, open the Bookings page, save it to the home screen, and check that it opens without asking for a password before you rely on it.
Rescheduling and canceling both live in the booking's menu, and your configured notifications go out automatically; the booker can also reschedule through the link in their email, within any limits on late changes you set. Watch the delete button in your phone's calendar. Deleting the event there also cancels the booking, but sends no email to the client. It feels like canceling. The client receives nothing. So use the Bookings page when the client should know.
Two more actions round out the menu. Rebook creates a new appointment with the same details, which is handy at the end of a session, and a pre-filled follow-up link is another route, since recurring bookings are not supported. You can also mark a no-show from the booking details, from its start until a week after it ends, though no-show tracking in workflows needs Professional. All of this works on a phone. It is a browser, not an app.
Your calendar and inbox do the app's job
The calendar as your inbox
Every booking becomes an event in your linked calendar. The description holds the booker's answers by default, and cancel and reschedule links can be included, so your phone's calendar app shows your day without YouCanBookMe open. It also helps on travel days. The Bookings page needs a connection, but your phone's calendar app keeps synced events offline, including the details YouCanBookMe adds. Check the calendar, not the Bookings page.
Email and SMS alerts in place of push
Without an app there are no push notifications. The substitutes are calendar alerts, email notifications and SMS alerts to yourself. Confirmations, reschedules and cancellations reach you by email if you set notifications to yourself, and a reminder to yourself before each meeting helps. Paid accounts can set unlimited notifications per page; Free sends confirmations only. For texts, set your mobile number in Account settings, add an SMS notification and use the account mobile code. The account mobile number is used for these alerts on all plans. Each text uses credits at $0.07 in the US [3].
At seven cents a credit, fifty alerts a month cost $3.50, our arithmetic. That is a small price for a host who needs to know about new bookings or cancellations at once but does not want an email inbox open on the phone. Pair it with SMS notifications on new bookings and cancellations, and your phone buzzes like an app would. Still, calendar alerts are free. They are usually enough. To text bookers too, buy credits and add a mobile phone question to the form; the field checks that the number can receive texts, and credits are shared across pages.
Video calls from a phone
Unique Zoom, Teams or Meet links appear in the calendar event, the confirmation and the reminders, and YouCanBookMe also puts the link in SMS messages. On a phone, you tap the link in the event to join, and both sides join from the same link. To start a call as host, stay logged into the Zoom account you connected. The passcode can be embedded in the link if your Zoom setting allows it. Otherwise add it with a shorthand code in your notifications, so a booker joining from a phone never has to hunt for it.
Sharing your link from a phone
Copy your link and paste it into texts, chats or social posts. The link is the same everywhere, single-use links suit one-off invitations, and shorter is better on small screens. The start-up guide also suggests a Book Now button in your email signature. It is the simplest mobile sharing habit, since every email you send from your phone then carries the link.
For in-person businesses, each booking link can have a printable QR code for cards, posters or receipts. Clients scan it with their phone camera and land on the page. For tutors, trainers or market stalls, a printed code often beats a typed link, because a client can finish booking on the spot. The Linktree integration puts your page on your Linktree profile on all plans and tracks clicks and referrals, but if you rename the page or change the link, update Linktree by hand. Any LinkedIn user can add the booking link as a custom button on their profile, while LinkedIn's own Book an appointment button is for LinkedIn Premium users.
The Chrome extension: the desktop half
The YCBM Chrome extension gives quick access to your booking links, on all plans [4]. It is a desktop browser extension, so think of it as the desktop half of a mobile-light setup. You install it from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your YouCanBookMe account, and your booking pages then appear in the extension menu. It copies links without leaving your current tab, which speeds up replies in Gmail, Outlook on the web and chat tools. That matters. YouCanBookMe says 71% of users share booking links by email.
Since August 2023 the extension can insert suggested times straight into emails, up to 9 dates and times. The recipient clicks a time to book, and YouCanBookMe claims clickable times raise booking rates by 13%. This is the most phone-friendly feature, even though it lives on the desktop, because someone reading your email on a phone can tap a time and finish without scrolling a calendar. The extension also creates single-use links that expire after one booking and shows upcoming bookings without opening the dashboard. The product update mentions Chrome only, and we found no Firefox or Safari extension; on other browsers, use bookmarks and the Bookings page.
What you give up without an app
The real limits
You cannot get native push notifications or manage bookings offline, every action needs a connection and a login, and alerts must come by email or SMS. Editing on a small screen is awkward. Make big changes at a desk. Booking page settings live in the web dashboard, and while you can edit them in a mobile browser, forms, notifications and availability are easier on a laptop. Team admin works in a mobile browser in a pinch, but is safer on a computer. None of these gaps affects bookers. Together, though, they mean a host who runs the business from a phone depends on several alerts rather than one place to work.
Common problems, security and support
Two problems come up in the help center. The first is wrong times: the page time zone must match your calendar's time zone, and a calendar set to UTC is a common cause, so fix the calendar or set the page zone by hand. The second is missing wallet buttons on embedded pages. Test both before launch. For security, turn on two-factor authentication with an authenticator app on your phone before you share your link widely; data travels encrypted with TLS 1.2. Support works through the Bailey assistant and email, with replies promised within 24 hours, Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm EST.
Deleting a booking's event in your phone's calendar cancels it without emailing the client. Use the Bookings page when the client should know.
Rivals that do have apps
If managing the day from a phone is the deciding factor, the comparison is simple. Calendly, Cal.com, Setmore and Zoho Bookings all list mobile apps on their pricing pages, while YouCanBookMe relies on the browser and the phone's calendar. If you reschedule clients from the road all day, compare them before you commit. Our YouCanBookMe alternatives guide compares these tools on more than the app; here is what each one offers on mobile.
- Calendly lists a mobile app and browser extension among its features, including on its free plan, and includes 250 SMS credits per seat on paid plans.
- Cal.com's free plan for individuals lists a mobile app and a browser extension, plus unlimited calendars and event types. For a solo host who wants an app, it is a free option.
- Setmore offers iOS, Android and desktop apps on its Free plan, which covers up to 4 users. For staff who work from phones all day, it is worth a test.
- Zoho Bookings lists a browser extension and a mobile app for all user roles. It suits teams already on Zoho, and its free plan covers one user.
A mobile setup that works
Whether the missing app matters comes down to how you work. It matters if you reschedule clients from the road or want push alerts, and it matters little if you work at a desk and your calendar app already shows your day. A quick test answers it. For one week, write down every time you needed to change a booking away from your desk. If the list stays short, the setup below covers you without a dedicated app, and our guide to using YouCanBookMe walks through the first-time setup step by step.

The bottom line
There is no YouCanBookMe app, and for most bookers it does not matter, since over 70% of bookings already happen on phones through the link. The missing app is a real gap for hosts on the move. With a home-screen shortcut, calendar alerts and SMS to yourself, most people manage, and the Chrome extension covers the desktop. If phone-first management is essential to your working day, test Calendly, Cal.com or Setmore, which fit better. We could not confirm whether YouCanBookMe plans a native app, and we did not test the mobile Bookings page ourselves.
