Figma publishes every list price it charges for seats, Enterprise included, on one page. That makes it more transparent than most of its category. The harder part is reading the page correctly: prices are per seat, not per plan, the Professional card opens on annual billing, and the AI that most new users try first sits on a second meter whose price the page does not show.
All prices below were read from the US-served pricing page on 9 October 2026, in US dollars, before tax [2]. Annual totals and comparisons are our arithmetic.
The price table
| Plan | Full seat | Dev seat | Collab seat | Billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free | — | — | — |
| Professional | $20/mo, or $16/mo billed annually | $15, or $12 annually | $5, or $3 annually | monthly or annual |
| Organization | $55/mo | $25/mo | $5/mo | annual only |
| Enterprise | $90/mo | $35/mo | $5/mo | annual only |
View seats are free on every paid plan [90]. The page notes that anyone on a paid plan can let others view and comment without buying extra seats [2].
Pay annually only for seats you will keep all year.
Tax, for one. Figma's tax page says prices shown on the website do not include sales tax or value-added tax [141]. In the US, Figma adds sales tax only in the states it lists, among them New York, Texas, Pennsylvania and Washington; buyers in a state not on the list see no sales tax [141].
Currency is the other. New subscriptions can be paid in US dollars, euros, British pounds, Canadian dollars or Japanese yen [140]. Organization and Enterprise customers can change currency through sales, and Figma converts any credit balance at current exchange rates [140]. Tax comes on top.
Monthly or annual on Professional
The Professional card loads with "Annual selected" and shows US$16 per Full seat [2]. Switching the card to monthly shows US$20 [2]. Read the card twice. Over a year, monthly billing costs US$240 per Full seat against US$192 annually, a saving of US$48, or 20%.
The saving is the same 20% on a Dev seat, US$180 against US$144. On a Collab seat it is 40%: US$60 against US$36. Organization and Enterprise have no monthly option at all [2]. Annual is the only door.
Ask for the AI credit rate in writing before enabling pay-as-you-go.
A Full seat is the only seat that edits Figma Design files, and the only one with full Figma Make [92]. A Dev seat adds full Dev Mode to FigJam and Slides. A Collab seat covers FigJam and Slides. A View seat can view, comment, export and see redlines [3].
Figma Design cannot be bought on its own; the pricing FAQ says it comes only inside the Full seat [3].
Starter, the free plan
Starter costs nothing and keeps one folder: three Design or Sites files, three FigJam files and three Slides files, plus unlimited drafts [129]. It has 30 days of version history and no Dev Mode [129].
AI on Starter is 500 credits a month, with a daily cap of 150 [94]. That is enough to try Figma Make, not to build with it. Starter is a trial.
Mid-year seats on annual Professional bill at the monthly price.
Professional is one team, unlimited files, team libraries and Dev Mode [128]. A Full seat includes 3,000 AI credits a month; Dev and Collab seats include 500 [94]. Professional plans can connect up to 10 custom domains for Sites and Make [101].
Only credit cards are accepted for new Professional upgrades, according to the upgrade guide [137]. The pricing FAQ also lists debit cards and SEPA direct debits [3].
Over Starter, Professional adds restricted folders, prototype-only sharing, viewer restrictions that block copying or exporting, and password protection on shared files [128]. Each plan can have an unlimited number of members and collaborators; only the seats cost money [128].
Dev Mode used to be sold separately
When Dev Mode launched in 2023, Figma said developers would be able to buy Dev Mode access alone for US$25 a seat a month on Organization and US$35 on Enterprise [76]. On Professional it was included in the full design seat [77].
Those two figures survive today as the Organization and Enterprise Dev seat prices [2]. What changed in 2025 is that the Dev seat also gained FigJam and Slides, and Professional got a Dev seat of its own at US$12 a month annually [2].
Moving people to View seats refunds nothing.
In 2022 Figma said unlimited shared FigJam whiteboards started at US$3 per editor [7]. The November 2024 pricing page said Figma Slides would be free on Starter in early 2025 and cost US$3 or US$5 a month depending on the paid plan [4].
From March 2025 both were folded into every paid seat [5]. For teams that bought FigJam seats for non-designers, the Collab seat at US$3 a month annually on Professional is the same price under a new name.
Organization
Organization is billed annually: US$55 per Full seat a month, which is US$660 a year, plus US$25 Dev and US$5 Collab [2]. Full seats carry 3,500 AI credits [94]. Seats added during the year are prorated to the end of the term and appear on the next quarterly invoice [91].
Figma's own worked example: a Full seat approved on 15 September in a term renewing on 1 January costs US$195.29 for the remaining 108 days [91]. Our check of that figure: US$660 times 108 over 365 is US$195.29. The arithmetic holds.
Enterprise
Enterprise is US$90 per Full seat a month, US$1,080 a year, plus US$35 Dev and US$5 Collab, billed annually [2]. Full seats carry 4,250 AI credits [94]. Governance+, the Enterprise-only security add-on, has no published price [2].
Education and Government
Verified students and educators pay nothing for the Education plan, which mirrors Professional features and includes 3,000 AI credits a month per person [97]. Figma for Government is a separate offering for agencies with no public price [89]. There is no nonprofit discount [3].
Three example teams
These are our calculations at list price.
| Team | Seats | Professional, annual | Professional, monthly | Organization | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo designer | 1 Full | $192 | $240 | $660 | $1,080 |
| Product squad | 2 Full, 3 Dev, 5 Collab | $996 | $1,320 | $2,520 | $3,720 |
| Ten designers | 10 Full | $1,920 | $2,400 | $6,600 | $10,800 |
Seats are the bill. The squad row shows why seat mix matters more than plan: ten people for under US$1,000 a year on annual Professional, because only two of them design.
Price history
The archived pricing page of 6 November 2024 showed US$15 per Full seat a month on Professional, US$45 on Organization and US$75 on Enterprise [4]. Enterprise launched in 2022 at US$75 per editor a month [7].
The current figures took effect at each customer's first renewal on or after 11 March 2025 [5]. By our arithmetic the rises are 33%, 22% and 20%.
How seat approval drives the bill
Since the 2025 change, admins approve seat upgrades by default, and a person waiting for approval can use the requested seat for up to three days [5]. The default setting is "Manually approve, unless seat is available", which grants any unassigned seat automatically [138].
Auto-approve buys a new seat whenever none is free [138]. Approved seats are prorated onto the next invoice [90]. Approval is the brake.
Seats added during an annual term
On annual Professional, extra seats are billed on a separate monthly subscription at the monthly price [90]. They stay monthly until an admin adds them to the annual plan or removes them [3].
By our arithmetic, a Full seat added halfway through the year costs US$120 over six months at US$20, against US$96 for the same half-year at the annual rate.
Figma's help center walks through the fix. A team with 10 annual Full seats adds 5 monthly seats in July, then in October buys 7 more annual seats: the 5 monthly seats convert to annual and 2 new seats sit ready for new joiners [90]. Adding annual seats mid-term is charged as a prorated fee on the next monthly invoice [90].
Figma's own monthly example
The Professional billing article gives two worked invoices. In the first, a Dev seat approved three days before the monthly invoice adds US$15 for the next month and US$1.50 for the three days [90]. That matches the US$15 monthly Dev seat price.
In the second, a Full seat approved on 27 April adds the same US$1.50 and US$15 [90]. The pricing page lists a monthly Full seat at US$20 [2]. By our arithmetic, three days of a US$20 seat is about US$2.00, and the next month US$20. Treat the help article's Full-seat figures as out of date. Trust the pricing page.
Renewing fewer annual seats
Renewal does not drop people. If you renew fewer annual seats than you have assigned, the remainder are billed on a monthly subscription; to stop paying for them you move those people to free View seats [90]. On Organization and Enterprise, assigned seats are renewed automatically, and reducing seats starts with moving people to View [91].
Removing seats
You can move anyone to a free View seat at any time, but Figma will not issue a prorated refund; the paid seat stays available for someone else until renewal [138]. Unassigned monthly seats on Professional drop off at the next invoice [92]. Annual seats can be reduced only in the 30 days before renewal [90]. Mark that window.
AI credits included
| Seat | Starter | Professional | Organization | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Full | 500 | 3,000 | 3,500 | 4,250 |
| Dev, Collab, View | — | 500 | 500 | 500 |
Starter and View seats also have a daily limit of 150 credits [94]. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over [94].
Buying more AI credits
Admins can buy a monthly credit subscription, pooled across the plan, where the price per credit falls as volume rises [95]. On Professional it is month-to-month even on an annual plan; on Organization and Enterprise it is annual and can only be reduced in the renewal window [95].
Pay-as-you-go bills credits used beyond the pool, up to a spending limit [95]. On 25 August 2026 Figma doubled the credits in Professional add-ons and raised them 1.6 times on Organization and Enterprise at the same price [96]. The per-credit price appears only in the admin dashboard [96].
Credit tiers do not stack: buying a higher tier moves you to it rather than adding to the one you have [95]. And every person on a paid plan starts with full access to the plan's paid credits until an admin sets a limit [143]. With pay-as-you-go switched on, that default is the setting to change first. Limits come first.
Upgrading from Professional to Organization
Organization can be bought online or through sales. Upgrading online needs a work email address, moves the teams you administer into the new organization, and turns people with other companies' email addresses into guests [137]. Figma credits the unused part of any Professional subscription against the first Organization invoice [137].
Figma suggests setting aside an hour, because the teams are unavailable while they move [137].
Make on your own codebase, free for now
Figma Make can now work on a team's own codebase. The pricing FAQ says that during the beta this consumes no AI credits; standard credit usage will apply once the agent becomes generally available [3].
The October promotion
Figma is running a promotion from 6 to 27 October 2026: 25% off the AI credits add-on for Professional teams that have never bought one, for the rest of the billing cycle and the next full cycle [58]. It then renews monthly at the standard rate until canceled [58].
Taxes, currencies and failed payments
Figma calculates sales tax and VAT from the billing and shipping addresses [141], so the checkout total can exceed the card price. If a payment fails, Figma retries for up to 21 days, and a continuing failure can leave the account view-only [142].
Refunds and canceling
The pricing FAQ is short: "Payments for Figma subscriptions are non-refundable." [3] Professional is canceled from the admin settings and runs to the end of the period [137]. Online Organization plans can be canceled only in the 30 days before the term ends, by email to support [59].
What Figma does not publish
The per-credit price of AI add-ons and pay-as-you-go [96]. Figma for Government and Governance+ pricing [2]. And what Sites bandwidth and storage will cost: the FAQ still describes beta terms that ran through 2025 [3].
One more line belongs here. Figma Weave, the AI media tool Figma now runs at its own address, has a credit pool separate from Figma AI credits; Weave tools used inside Figma Design draw on Figma credits [94]. Several Trustpilot complaints about lost credits concern Weave's own subscription, which this page does not price [167].
Frequently asked questions
Is Figma cheaper annually?+
Yes. A Professional Full seat is US$16 a month billed annually, US$192 a year, against US$20 a month on monthly billing, US$240 over twelve months.
Do developers need a Full seat?+
No. A Dev seat at US$12 a month annually on Professional gives full Dev Mode, FigJam and Slides.
How much do extra AI credits cost?+
Figma shows the price only in the admin dashboard. Each Professional Full seat includes 3,000 credits a month.
Figma's list prices are complete and easy to compare. Pay annually on Professional if your seat count is stable, buy Full seats only for people who edit designs, and set seat approvals to manual. Credits are a second bill. Budget for AI separately: the included credits are, in Figma's description, for trying features, not for daily use [96].
