Three plans, five tools, one menu

Mangools sells three plans, Basic, Premium and Agency, and every plan includes all five tools: KWFinder, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler. Each plan is billed monthly or annually per account, and the only thing that changes as you move up is the size of the limits [1]. Tools are never sold separately. That keeps the choice simple, because you are not deciding which features to buy, only how much of them you need. Around the three core plans sit a free plan that needs no card, a ten-day Free+ period for new accounts, and one paid add-on, AI Search Watcher Pro, at $49 a month on top of any plan.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Annual, per month
Basic $49 a month $358.80 a year $29.90
Premium $69 a month $538.80 a year $44.90
Agency $129 a month $1,078.80 a year $89.90

Where these prices come from

The pricing page draws its table from a data file, plans.json, so the visible text of the page holds no prices at all. We read that file from the United States on October 12, 2026, and it returned US dollars. A request from our European server received euros instead, so the currency you see depends on where you are. Check it at checkout. Annual plans are paid upfront and renew automatically, and refunds last only 48 hours, which is why the billing rules further down matter as much as the sticker price.

Toolkit tip
Choose devices before choosing a plan

Mobile and desktop tracking of the same keyword count as two tracked keywords. Most sites only need mobile, which halves what you use.

What each plan actually buys

Basic, for one person working alone

Basic gives you 100 keyword lookups and 100 SERP lookups a day, 200 tracked keywords, 100,000 backlink rows a month and 20 SiteProfiler lookups a day. It allows one session and no sub-users. That is fine for a single blogger or a freelancer researching one site at a time. It is not a team plan. A second login on Basic ends the first, so even one person moving between a laptop and a phone will notice the limit. Search by domain is also thin here, with only 25 competitor keyword rows, which makes Basic a keyword research plan rather than a competitor research plan.

Premium, the plan most people should buy

Premium raises lookups to 500 a day, tracked keywords to 700, backlink rows to 500,000 and SiteProfiler lookups to 70. It adds 3 sub-user seats and 3 simultaneous sessions. Competitor keyword rows jump from 25 to 2,000, which is the single biggest functional change between the two lower plans. For $20 more a month than Basic, you get five times the lookups and a usable competitor view. For most buyers this is the right plan, and the per-unit math below shows why.

Agency, for daily rankings

Agency raises lookups to 1,200 a day, tracked keywords to 1,500 and backlink rows to 1.2 million, with 5 seats and 10 sessions. It is also the only plan with daily rank tracking; SERPWatcher updates weekly on Basic and Premium. If your clients expect fresh positions every morning, the daily updates are the real reason to pay for Agency. If weekly data is enough, Premium covers most of the same ground for a little over half the price.

Toolkit tip
Start small, upgrade later

Upgrades are prorated, so moving from Basic to Premium mid-year costs only the difference. Upgrade when the limits bite.

The limits that decide your plan

Lookups, imports and ideas

The price list hides most of the real decision, which comes down to how fast you burn through lookups, how many keywords you track and how many people share the account. Keyword lookups and SERP lookups are 100, 500 and 1,200 a day on Basic, Premium and Agency. The FAQ says "Limits are refreshed every 24 hours" counted from your first request [2]. Scoring a suggested keyword also costs a SERP lookup, so heavy research draws on both counters at once. Count both.

Each keyword lookup returns up to 200 related keywords on Basic and 700 on Premium and Agency. For long-tail research on a niche site, 200 ideas per seed is often enough, while agencies working broad topics will want more. Imports are rarely the bottleneck. The KWFinder guide sets them at 200 keywords 100 times a day on Basic, 700 keywords 500 times on Premium and 700 keywords 1,200 times on Agency. That is up to 20,000, 350,000 and 840,000 keywords a day, but difficulty scoring still uses SERP lookups, so the lookup allowance is the ceiling that actually bites.

Rank tracking: devices, sites and frequency

Tracking the same keyword on mobile and desktop counts as two tracked keywords, because each tracking is separate. Tracking 150 keywords on both devices uses 300 of Premium's 700, or more than all of Basic's 200. Most sites only need mobile, so choose your devices before you choose a plan. On the other side, SERPWatcher lets you split a plan's keywords across an unlimited number of domains. Premium's 700 keywords could cover seven sites with 100 keywords each, which suits a freelancer with several small clients but not one large client.

Seats, sessions and shared limits

Basic has no sub-user seats, Premium has 3 and Agency 5, and sessions run 1, 3 and 10. Sessions matter even for one person: a freelancer working on a laptop and a phone will hit the single Basic session quickly, and Premium solves it. Sub-users share the account's limits rather than getting their own. A 2022 blog post said extra seats could be bought without limit, but the current plan data lists no seat add-on. Ask support before counting on more people.

Backlink and competitor rows

LinkMiner shows 100,000 backlink rows a month on Basic, 500,000 on Premium and 1.2 million on Agency. A single large domain can have more links than Basic's monthly allowance, so filters matter; showing one link per referring domain helps stretch it. Search by domain shows 25 competitor keyword rows on Basic against 2,000 on Premium and Agency, in 17 countries. Twenty-five rows is a teaser. Competitor research means Premium.

⚠️
Watch out
Seats share one set of limits

Sub-users draw on the account's limits, so four people on Premium get 125 lookups each a day.

Monthly or annual: the real saving

Twelve monthly Basic payments cost $588, so the annual plan saves $229.20, or 39%. Premium saves $289.20, which is 35%, and Agency saves $469.20, or 30% [1]. The bigger the plan, the smaller the percentage, so Basic buyers gain the most from committing. Annual plans are paid upfront and renew automatically, which is the price of that discount, so it only pays off if you are confident the tools will stay in your workflow for the full year.

Over two years the gap widens. Monthly Basic costs $1,176 against $717.60 annual, monthly Premium $1,656 against $1,077.60, and monthly Agency $3,096 against $2,157.60. Annual Premium for two years costs less than eleven months of monthly Agency. The billing choice matters more than the plan choice. Choosing annual Premium over monthly Premium for two years saves $578.40, which is more than a whole year of annual Premium itself. Commit if you are sure you will keep using the tools.

Where "up to 44%" comes from

The discounts page says annual plans save up to 44% [3]. That figure dates from the August 2017 price change, which introduced the Agency plan and raised Basic and Premium, and the page was never brought in line with today's prices. The current plan data gives at most 39%, on Basic, and less on the bigger plans. Ignore the 44% and read any discount percentage you see against the current prices, not against an old promise.

⚠️
Watch out
Ignore the 44% claim

The discounts page still promises savings of up to 44%, a figure from 2017. Today's plan data gives at most 39%.

What you pay per unit

On annual billing, Basic costs about $0.30 per daily keyword lookup a month ($29.90 for 100), Premium $0.09 ($44.90 for 500) and Agency $0.07 ($89.90 for 1,200). Premium is five times the capacity for 1.5 times the price. Put another way, a researcher who would otherwise buy two Basic accounts to double the lookups pays $59.80 a month billed annually for 200 lookups, against $44.90 for Premium's 500. Volume favors Premium.

Tracked keywords tell a similar story. Annual Basic tracks 200 keywords weekly for $29.90 a month, about 15 cents each. Premium tracks 700 for $44.90, about 6 cents each, and Agency tracks 1,500 daily for $89.90, also about 6 cents. In other words, Agency gives you daily data at Premium's unit cost, which is worth noting for anyone who mainly buys Mangools as a rank tracker.

Seats look cheap until you remember the shared limits. Annual Premium spreads $44.90 a month over the owner and 3 sub-users, about $11.23 per person, and annual Agency spreads $89.90 over 6 people, about $14.98. But all of them draw on one set of limits, so four people on Premium get 125 lookups each a day. Cheap seats, thin limits.

AI Search Watcher: the sample and the Pro add-on

Every plan includes 1 AI Search Watcher monitor and 5 prompts, and search intent checks run 3, 5 and 50 a day on Basic, Premium and Agency. These allowances are small. They are a sample, not a program. Moving from Basic to Premium raises the AI side only slightly, since both plans keep the same single monitor and five prompts, so a bigger SEO plan will not help if AI tracking is what you need.

The real step up is AI Search Watcher Pro, which costs $49 a month or $418.80 a year and brings 500 prompts and unlimited monitors. Annual Basic plus annual Pro comes to $777.60 a year. That is still less than Semrush's SEO plan alone, at $1,407.96 a year billed annually. If AI visibility matters to you, budget for Pro rather than upgrading the core plan.

Free, Free+ and the plans that came and went

The free plan and Free+

The Free plan has no time limit and needs no credit card. Mangools does not publish its full limits; the KWFinder guide allows 15 keywords per import, five times a day. It suits occasional checks, and real projects outgrow it in days. For anything more than a quick look at a keyword or two, treat it as a way to learn the interface rather than a working plan.

New accounts also get Free+ for ten days, with 50 tracked keywords updated daily and no card. Free+ replaced the old 10-day trial in June 2023, when Mangools also restored the free plan. Free+ is the best test of SERPWatcher, so set up a tracking on day one. The SERPWatcher guide still says you can track 10 keywords in a 10-day free trial, but that guide was never updated. Expect 50. Our guide to what Mangools gives away free covers the free tier in more detail.

The Entry plan question

In July 2023 Mangools launched an Entry plan at $19.90 a month billed annually, with 25 keyword lookups a day and 50 tracked keywords. The current plan data does not list it, although the Terms still allow an entry plan for new users only. Ask whether it is still offered before you rule it in or out. The rest of the pricing history is short: the August 2017 change brought the Agency plan and higher Basic and Premium prices, and October 2022 added sub-users. Today's plan data lists only the three core plans.

Discounts worth knowing about

New users get a one-time 10% discount if they subscribe within an hour of registering. On annual Premium, that is about $53.88. It is tempting, but rushed, and the free plan and Free+ are better tests than an hour of clicking around. The FAQ also mentions Black Friday, Cyber Monday and other occasional discounts. During one holiday promotion the blog advertised a 35% saving on the tools and up to 50% on the LLM rank tracker. Timing a purchase can pay, though it is not worth waiting months for.

Two groups have their own angle. Teachers can ask for special coupon codes, which Mangools offers to people who run SEO training courses, for their students; a course leader should ask before term starts. Few rivals publish an offer like that. Long-time subscribers, meanwhile, have something to protect. When prices rose in August 2017, existing subscribers kept their old prices as long as auto-renewal stayed on, and the discounts page says an annual subscriber's price "is guaranteed until you decide to cancel". So canceling can cost you the old price. Think before you switch off renewal.

Billing rules: upgrades, renewal and refunds

Upgrades and renewal

Upgrades are prorated: in the first payment for the new plan you pay only the prorated amount, depending on your current plan and its prepaid period. Moving from Basic to Premium mid-year costs only the difference. Start small and upgrade when the limits bite. Plans renew automatically until you disable auto-renewal in the dashboard, and the account stays upgraded until the prepaid period ends. You can switch auto-renewal back on later. Cancel before the renewal date, because refunds are short.

The 48-hour refund and the EU withdrawal right

The refund promise is plain: "If you are not satisfied we will issue a full refund within 48 hours of your payment." [4] It does not apply to two consecutive subscriptions. That gives annual and monthly buyers alike two days to change their minds. EU consumers also have a 14-day withdrawal right under the Terms, but it ends once they use the paid service with consent. Most buyers start using the tools at once. So 48 hours is the real window. Plan accordingly.

Paying and invoices

Mangools accepts major cards, bank transfer, crypto and PayPal through Paddle, and invoices are available in the dashboard whenever your accountant asks for them. According to the Terms, resellers may add a 20% administrative fee for their extra work. There is little reason to pay that markup when the same plans and prices are on sale direct from Mangools. Buy direct.

Mangools next to Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking

Semrush's SEO plan costs $139 a month, or $117.33 a month billed annually. Mangools Agency costs $129 and Premium $69. Semrush tracks 500 keywords daily, while Premium tracks 700 weekly. Semrush gives more depth; Mangools gives more for less, and annual Premium at $538.80 a year costs less than four months of Semrush's SEO plan billed monthly. Our Mangools vs Semrush comparison goes further.

Ahrefs Lite costs $129 a month with 750 keywords tracked weekly. Mangools Agency, at the same price, tracks 1,500 daily. Ahrefs never runs discounts and points to its free plan instead of a trial. Different strengths, same price. SE Ranking Core costs $129 a month or $103.20 billed annually, with 2,000 keywords tracked daily, and it includes a site audit. Mangools Agency costs $89.90 a month billed annually for 1,500 daily keywords. Mangools is cheaper and simpler; SE Ranking tracks more and audits too.

Which plan to buy

For one blogger, annual Basic is enough if weekly tracking of 200 keywords covers your site. For a small team, or anyone who needs competitor research, annual Premium is the plan to pick, because it is where the competitor rows, the seats and the lookup volume all open up. For an agency that needs daily rankings, Agency is the answer, and the fair benchmark for it is SE Ranking Core. Whichever way you lean, test on Free+ first. Then decide.
