The verdict, in one line

Mangools is a set of five SEO tools sold as one subscription: KWFinder for keyword research, SERPChecker for search results, SERPWatcher for rank tracking, LinkMiner for backlinks and SiteProfiler for domain metrics. It is one of the cheapest complete SEO toolkits we have scored, at $49 a month or $29.90 a month billed annually [1]. It is easy to learn and well rated. Its limits are small, though, rank tracking is weekly below the $129 Agency plan, and there is no site audit. Good for bloggers. Thin for agencies. We checked what each plan includes, what it costs from the US and where Mangools' own pages disagree, as of 12 October 2026.

The company calls itself an affordable, easy-to-use SEO toolset and says it is "no giant all-in-one tool". All tools share one login and one set of limits, and they depend on each other: Keyword Difficulty in KWFinder uses SERPChecker data, so you cannot buy KWFinder alone. On top sit AI Search Watcher, a free AI Search Grader, an API, an MCP server and free mini tools. Mangools is run by CodeCat s.r.o. of Bratislava, Slovakia. KWFinder launched in August 2014, and the other four tools followed between 2016 and September 2018. It is a small European company, and the bundle is the design.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Mangools fits bloggers, affiliate site owners and small businesses researching long-tail keywords, checking SERPs and tracking a few hundred keywords weekly. Its own testimonials lean that way. Beginners learn it in an afternoon, and one price covers every tool, unlike suites that sell toolkits separately. The link between research and tracking is the bundle's best argument: KWFinder saves keywords into lists that can be edited, exported or sent straight to SERPWatcher for rank tracking. That saves copy-and-paste work for a small team. Use lists from the start.

It is the wrong fit for agencies that need daily tracking on many sites, technical SEO teams that need audits, and anyone who needs a large first-party backlink index. Basic's single session and missing sub-users rule out teams, and competitor keyword research is nearly blind below Premium. Those buyers should look at bigger suites. Mangools will feel small to them. Everyone else can start on the free plan and decide with real data, which is exactly how Mangools is built to be tried.

Toolkit tip
Test tracking during Free+

Use the 10-day Free+ plan, with 50 keywords updated daily and no card, to test SERPWatcher on a real site before you pay.

What you pay: plans, annual billing and the free tier

Every paid plan includes all five tools; only the limits change [1]. We read the prices from the US; our European server was served euros. Against twelve monthly payments, annual billing saves 39% on Basic, 35% on Premium and 30% on Agency, by our arithmetic from the plan data. Mangools' own pages give other figures. The 5-months-free page says annual billing saves 35% compared with twelve monthly payments, and the discounts page says up to 44%, a figure that dates from the 2017 price change. Trust the arithmetic. New users also get a one-time 10% discount if they subscribe within an hour of registering. Do not rush the hour. A bad fit costs more than 10%.

Plan Monthly billing Annual billing Tracked keywords Keyword lookups a day Sub-user seats
Basic $49 a month $358.80 a year ($29.90 a month) 200, weekly 100 None
Premium $69 a month $538.80 a year ($44.90 a month) 700, weekly 500 3
Agency $129 a month $1,078.80 a year ($89.90 a month) 1,500, daily 1,200 5

Free, Free+ and the old trial

Mangools has a time-unlimited Free plan that needs no card. It came back on 20 June 2023 after years without one. Mangools does not publish a full table of its limits, but the KWFinder guide allows 15 keywords per import, five times a day. The same June 2023 change turned the old 10-day trial into a 10-day Free+ plan with 50 tracked keywords updated daily, again with no card, and after ten days the account falls back to Free. That is enough to test SERPWatcher on a real site, and it is the only way to see daily tracking without paying for Agency. Use the ten days well.

⚠️
Watch out
Devices count twice

Mobile and desktop tracking count separately, so 200 keywords on both devices use 400 of your tracked keywords.

Seats, sessions and how lookups count

Premium includes 3 sub-user seats and Agency 5; Basic has none. All sub-users share the parent account's limits, so a team of four on Premium shares 500 lookups a day. That runs out fast. The plan data allows 1 simultaneous session on Basic, 3 on Premium and 10 on Agency, while the FAQ still says logins work on two devices on Premium and Agency. Expect the newer, higher figures. Limits refresh every 24 hours from your first request, not at midnight. Typing a keyword or domain counts one keyword lookup, an import counts one, and each SERP opened counts one SERP lookup unless it was recently cached [2]. Clicks add up.

Keyword research in KWFinder and SERPChecker

KWFinder and Keyword Difficulty

KWFinder finds keyword ideas with search volume history, Keyword Difficulty, CPC and PPC competition, for more than 65,000 locations. Basic allows 100 keyword lookups a day, Premium 500 and Agency 1,200, and each lookup returns up to 200, 700 or 700 ideas. The interface is the main draw. Keyword Difficulty is Mangools' own score for how hard it is to reach the first page; the higher the number, the harder. It is computed from the live SERP, so clicking a suggestion to score it costs a SERP lookup. Lookups go faster than expected. Plan research sessions around that.

Competitor keywords and late volumes

KWFinder can also show the keywords a domain ranks for, but only in 17 countries, including the US, UK, Canada and Australia. On Basic that report shows 25 competitor keyword rows, while Premium and Agency show 2,000. Competitor research needs Premium. Search volumes also arrive late. The FAQ says the data usually comes with a one-month lag, and its own example calls it normal to see the latest volumes from March in July. Seasonal topics need planning ahead. Fresh trends will not show yet, so a blogger chasing a new topic should check another source before writing it off.

SERPChecker

SERPChecker shows localized desktop or mobile results for more than 65,000 locations, with SERP features, expected CTR and authority metrics from Mangools, Moz and Majestic. It holds 30 million SERPs and adds about 100,000 a month. It is good for judging whether a page can rank, and it is fast to read. One small mismatch: the SERPChecker page and the home page promise 45+ advanced SEO metrics for each URL, while the site menu describes the same tool with 49 metrics. Neither page is dated. It is minor, but it is the kind of detail that should match.

Rank tracking: weekly unless you pay for Agency

SERPWatcher tracks positions by city, county, state or country, on desktop or mobile, with email alerts and shareable interactive reports. The menu is plain about the cadence: "Rank tracking with weekly updates (daily on the Agency plan)". Basic and Premium users see rankings once a week. For comparison, Semrush's SEO plan tracks 500 keywords daily for $139, and SE Ranking's Core tracks 2,000 daily for $129. Daily data costs more elsewhere too. Here it needs Agency.

The keyword budget is smaller than it looks

Basic tracks 200 keywords, Premium 700 and Agency 1,500, but mobile and desktop count separately [2]. Tracking 200 keywords on both devices needs 400, and Premium's 700 covers 350 keywords on both. A local business tracking 100 keywords in three cities on mobile and desktop needs 600 tracked keywords, which only fits Premium or Agency. Keywords can be split across an unlimited number of domains within the plan's total, which helps a blogger with several sites. The totals are small next to rivals. Plan the list carefully.

⚠️
Watch out
No site audit

There is no technical site audit tool, even though some of Mangools' comparison pages still mention one. Pair it with a crawler if you need audits.

Reports, snippets and the Performance Index

The SERPWatcher guide lists desktop and mobile rankings, estimated visits, top gainers and losers, keyword position flow and distribution, and map pack and featured snippet tracking. A Performance Index summarizes a site's rankings from current positions and their search volumes. One number is easy to report to a client or a boss, but it hides detail, so use it as a trend line, not a target. Note that a featured snippet counts as a regular first position in SERPWatcher but not in SERPChecker, so the two tools can show different positions for the same page. Know which one you report. Clients will ask.

Sharing and integrations

SERPWatcher can share interactive reports by link and send scheduled email reports and alerts, and Mangools advertises white-label SEO reports for agencies. Check the branding options during the Free+ days. It also imports keywords from Google Search Console, and a Looker Studio connector pushes rank tracking data into dashboards; the privacy policy says the Looker integration does not store data retrieved from Google APIs. It is a useful pair. Few other integrations exist. The reporting is plenty for a blogger and thin for enterprise reporting.

LinkMiner lists a site's backlinks with Link Strength, anchor text and a live preview that highlights each link on the referring page. Basic shows 100,000 backlink rows a month, Premium 500,000 and Agency 1.2 million. The preview saves tabs, and link builders like it. Mangools does not run its own link crawler. LinkMiner's database of 9.5 trillion backlinks comes from Majestic's fresh and historic index [3]. The FAQ says totals use the Fresh index while lists merge both. So counts and lists can differ.

SiteProfiler gives a domain's authority metrics from Moz and Majestic, backlink profile charts, anchor distribution, top content and similar competitors. Basic allows 20 profiles a day, Premium 70 and Agency 150. It is built for quick competitor snapshots, not traffic analytics. And there is no technical site audit at all: the tool menu lists KWFinder, AI Search Watcher, SERPChecker, SERPWatcher, LinkMiner and SiteProfiler, even though Mangools' own comparison pages still mention site audits. That is out of date. Pair Mangools with a crawler if you need audits.

AI Search Watcher and the free extras

AI Search Watcher tracks how a brand appears in AI answers. Its page says it currently tracks the eight most popular AI search engines: ChatGPT, AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Mistral and Llama. It runs each prompt several times to average out answer variation. Visibility is the percentage of runs in which a brand appears for a prompt across selected models, reported with average position, an overall score and the top 10 cited domains, plus recommendations, Looker Studio sharing and email reports. It is a sensible metric set with broad engine coverage. Prompts are the bottleneck.

Every main plan includes one AI monitor and five prompts. Five prompts is a demo. More needs AI Search Watcher Pro at $49 a month or $418.80 a year, with 500 prompts and unlimited monitors, so Basic plus Pro billed monthly costs $98 a month. The free AI Search Grader audits how a brand performs across ChatGPT and other AI engines without a paid plan. It is a one-off check rather than tracking, but it is a good first look before you pay for prompts.

💡
Toolkit tip
Buy Premium for competitors

Buy Premium if you need competitor keywords or a second user. Basic shows 25 competitor keyword rows and has no sub-user seats.

Free tools, the extension and custom exports

Mangools offers free tools that need no sign-up: a Google location changer for 65,000 locations, a SERP simulator for titles and meta descriptions, a Reddit Threads Finder and an SEO Content Optimizer using Search Console data, each with daily limits. They are genuinely useful. The free SEO extension for Chrome and Firefox, first released in October 2018, shows Mangools metrics while browsing without a paid plan. For very large keyword lists, Mangools runs custom exports of bulk search volumes and up to 700 keyword ideas per seed, returned as a CSV. The price is not published. Get a quote first.

The API is murky

The API page offers one REST API over all six tools with a token from a free account. The FAQ instead mentions SERPWatcher API access and separate API plans for KWFinder and SERPChecker. Neither page is dated, and API prices and rate limits are not published. Anyone planning to build a dashboard or an internal tool on Mangools data should ask which version applies, and what it costs, before writing a line of code. Ask before building on it.

Billing, refunds and the fine print

The refund window is short. The pricing page promises a full refund within 48 hours of payment if you are not satisfied, and adds that this does not apply to two consecutive subscriptions [4]. Two days is short, so decide during the free plan, not after paying. EU consumers also get a 14-day right to withdraw without reason under the Terms, but it does not apply once paid services have been used with consent. In practice, logging in and running lookups ends it. US buyers have only the 48-hour window.

Cancelling is self-serve: you disable auto-renewal in the dashboard, and the plan stays active until the prepaid period ends. Upgrades charge only the prorated amount. No retention calls. Mangools accepts Visa, Maestro, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, bank transfer and crypto, plus PayPal through the Paddle payment provider, which handles the billing; invoices sit in the dashboard. The Terms are governed by Slovak law, with business disputes at the District Court Bratislava I. They were last updated on June 20, 2023. Material changes need 30 days' notice, and Mangools may change plan parameters or cancel a plan altogether.

On privacy, Mangools says it does not sell or trade personal information and lets users request deletion by email, with up to 10 days for a response. Data may be retained after an account closes where there is a legitimate purpose, so ask for deletion explicitly. It is not automatic. The reliability record is short and candid. In May 2018, KWFinder, SERPChecker and SERPWatcher had a major outage, and about 15% of keyword positions in SERPWatcher were not processed correctly from 20 to 24 May. The founder published a detailed explanation. We found no similar post since.

What users say, and where Mangools' pages disagree

Mangools rates highly on every platform we checked, and the ratings are consistent, although review counts are small next to bigger suites. In our sample of 100 Trustpilot reviews, 94 were five-star and 5 one-star; 42 mentioned support, 16 price and 14 data. Support is the most praised trait. Complaints are rare, and the few we read do not point to a pattern that should worry a small buyer.

The documentation is less tidy. Several pages trail the current plans: the discounts page's 44% saving dates from the 2017 price change, the affiliate page still cites a free trial, and a July 2023 Entry plan no longer appears in the plan data. We count twelve such statements. Seven more disagreements have no newer page to settle them, among them 2.8 million users on the home page versus 2 million on the affiliate page, free API access versus separate API plans, and a September 2026 guide saying the SEO plans include AI Search Watcher Pro while the plan data gives them five prompts. Trust the plan data. Ask about the API and AI prompts before buying. Get it in writing.

Mangools next to Semrush, Ahrefs and SE Ranking

Semrush's SEO plan costs $139 a month and tracks 500 keywords daily, and its free plan tracks 10. Mangools Premium costs $69 and tracks 700 weekly. Mangools' own comparison table says Semrush offers only a limited free trial, while Semrush advertises a free plan. Semrush is deeper. Mangools is cheaper. Ahrefs Lite costs $129 a month and tracks 750 keywords weekly, while Mangools Agency costs the same $129 and tracks 1,500 daily. Ahrefs runs its own backlink index; Mangools licenses Majestic's. Ahrefs wins on data. Mangools wins on tracking per dollar.

SE Ranking Core costs $129 a month with 2,000 keywords tracked daily and a 14-day trial, while Mangools Agency costs the same and tracks 1,500 daily. SE Ranking adds a site audit and local tools. Mangools is simpler, and Mangools Basic costs $80 a month less than SE Ranking Core. Our Mangools vs Semrush comparison covers the most common head-to-head, and our Mangools alternatives guide covers the wider field.

How we score Mangools

We checked what each plan includes, what it costs from the US and where Mangools' own pages disagree, as of 12 October 2026. Ease of use and user sentiment score highest. Capability scores lowest, because of weekly tracking, Majestic data and the missing audit. The reasoning for each axis sits on the card below.

That puts Mangools at 3.6/5 in the SEO category, below SE Ranking, Semrush and Ahrefs: easy and cheap, held back by weekly tracking, borrowed backlink data and no site audit.
